  1. Make sure the latest Android Auto is installed on your GS6 (get it from the Google Play Store). Then you should be golden. After the app is installed, connect your phone to the car with the ignition on and it should launch Android Auto on your GS6 automatically. Then select SmartLink on the infotainment system and navigate to Android Auto if not done so automatically. You're problem may be due to the default settings. You need to go into the individual phone setting on the infotainment system and ensure that Android Auto is the default choice, as opposed to Mirrorlink, when you connect your GS6. On the Smartlink homepage in the car, on the bottom left I think there is a Mangage Devices option and find your phone and ensure it defaults to Android Auto.
  2. Second that. And at predictable longer stops at traffic lights or rail crossings etc... I do a quick pull up of the parking-brake switch and provide the drivers behind me the courtesy. Otherwise, the Autohold on our Superbs is simply a fantastic piece of engineering!
  3. I thought it might be Sagalout, so let's wait and see. Oddly my VIN doesn't show a recall on the website BillyJim... So perhaps it might be worth some of us giving the dealership a call to be certain?
  4. Just got back from the dealership after an appointment raising some issues. Namely, the phone box mechanism is fiddly and poorly put together so a part has been ordered. My air con was blazing hot at all times recently... But as sod's law dictates it was working fine with the technicians?! Will monitor it for now. MPG - after 1200 miles my 1.4TSI DSG is averaging 30mpg. Which I'm not too pleased with... They're saying I should give it more time and do a brim test too... I do not have a heavy foot and a lot of my driving is A roads. So again I'll monitor and complain after a couple hundred more miles if I'm not seeing a change. Service Recall - whilst I was there though, they told me that my car is due a service recall for the windscreen washers? So they've ordered the parts and in a few weeks they'll book me back in. Anybody else had a service recall on the washers? And any other thoughts on the MPG side from fellow 1.4TSI owners?
  5. The exact same thing has been happening to me! Booked in for Saturday so will see what they say... The constant hot air blowing through at a slower rate even when the fan is set to OFF is very annoying!
  6. Yep, I hadn't checked "Adaptive Lane Guidance" lol. Didn't have a chance to test but hopefully that will be the problem solved.
  7. Hmm... Perhaps there is a setting that Im missing as mine genuinely does not keep the vehicle in lane at all. It simply veers off and oddly tries to correct itself but fails miserably... Even worse than all the clips from mtl's video! Will browse through Columbus settings tonight.
  8. I find that Lane Assist is very late to react... The car is practically outside the lane before the steering nudges it back slightly but even then never quite back into the lane. Is that just me?
  9. The standard SE tail lights are LED indeed... Except as mentioned above the Skoda "C" shape doesn't go into the hatch/tailgate. The standard rear brake lights are also LED. The reversing lights and rear indicator lights on all models are halogen as standard.
  10. Yep, so my Climate Control seems to think Lo or 16°c is bloody fricking hell fire! The fans didn't stop burning hot air into my face all day! Booked in for a check next Saturday. Let's see what they say.
  11. No worries we all tripped up here! It pops up under City... Then on the bottom left you can select Postcode
  12. My cousin's 5 series was stolen even with a steering lock. That's why I insist on GPS tracking now with all cars. Maybe not for the spirited drivers amongst us, but telematics insurance serves me great in this regard as I can always track my car (and where it's been) and the premiums are much cheaper!
  13. Nope. If the Octy ones on Superskoda are anything like the chrome tips I ordered and had on my Mk3 Fabia keys (with the spring loaded flip out manual key as opposed to the Superb's KESSY push button slide out manual key)... Then the chrome tips are slightly too large for the rather slender KESSY keys. I know this because I tried to swap the Octy/Fabia key sized chrome tip to the spare key I have for the Superb (which is KESSY but only in black plastic as opposed to the main key), but the sizes didn't add up. The KESSY ones are thinner. So for any non-KESSY enabled Superb, I'm guessing the Superskoda chrome tip (or shall I say universal modern Skoda style) should be fine. Phew! Long post done.
  14. I would love to get the chrome mouldings! IMO it adds a really nice luxurious touch to the car.
  15. You definitely get 1 silver topped and 1 plain back on a KESSY enabled SEL Exec aswell (or at least I did!)
  16. Yep I second Superskoda, and it also holds slightly smaller devices very well too like a 5" smartphone. Highly recommended if you have kids or even passengers who get motion sickness... I.e. Using the media holder behind a front seat enables an upright forward facing viewing position so it's very helpful to avoid a little one feeling nauseated after a long journey!
  17. Saw a Black SE Business Hatch looking rather smart parked up on a road in Morden today as I drove passed. First one I've seen parked so clearly a local owner. Maybe a Briskodian?
  18. Ordered a Biz Grey SEL Exec 1.4 DSG Hatch on 1 October, was at Allams by middle of Jan and I collected it at the end of January. Quite a few toys added and I even ordered accessories (like Prestige floor mats and mudguards etc.) from Superskoda and left them with Allams to install for me ready for collection. And they debadged it for free. Brilliant service and I was quite lucky with lead times (quoted March as an estimate)
  19. Beautiful car! Now I hopefully might see you around Epsom/Surrey as there haven't been many Superbs around here from what I've seen!
  20. In full agreement here. Great service from their team and was kept well informed at all stages. And a fantastic discount through Carwow that no other dealership could match.
  21. I've not experienced anything like this before... Would definitely get it checked as a priority at the dealership or a specialist garage though!
  22. I just spotted this... Check out 1:10 on this video:https://youtu.be/s5MD4mNQzFs Maybe certain countries don't get the silver caps on reversing and rear indicator lights?
  23. Doesn't Mirrorlink switch off the screen when the car moves more than 5mph? I had that issue with my Fabia and an Xperia phone... Which mirrors the screen when stationery but has a warning message which blacks out the screen if you start moving (so Google Maps or Waze via Mirrorlink just doesn't work... Only the approved "Sygic Navigation" app available on Google Play Store for a stupidly expensive price works for in car navigation via Mirrorlink). Android Auto of course works perfectly fine with Google Maps.
