  1. Adding on to waht Stu has said......weak point for big turbo is the crown diff in the gearbox....should have this and this clutch uprated....makes sense, and will be cheaper, whisl tthe gearbox is out. I ran 340bhp on a standard clutch and crown diff...but I had mine mapped to limit the torque....which ulitmately is one of the major contributors to clutch failure...plus the way you drive.
  2. PLEASE...read the original post...if you're interested please start a list...it's very simple to do and makes my life so much easier. I've seen that a couple of peeps are interested but I don't know for sure as there no list. Sort it out please. I have also requested that people PM anyone questions...to keep the thread nice and tidy. If everyone didn't bother adhereing to the rules/reg of the official group buys then, what was the point of having them organised through BRISKODA? So, please read the first post...all relevant details are there. Thanks.
  3. I tried an N75J...gave a little more boost but I could hear it hitting the boost limit...coudl heasr the turbo whistling pulse. Had Jabba take it into account with a map...ran like a dawg....so took it off. As has been said already DV and N75 are completely different but a both easy to install yourself.
  4. Common on...only 1 more to get the minimum number! From all reports/review so far...this is the single best mod you can do to your Fabia! Please can those on the list..please make sure you have PMed me with the following: 1) full name 2) contact number This will speed up everythign greatly if I DON'T have to chase around for these details. Ta. 1) themightygez 2) 53fabiaVRS 3)alexst 4) gooFI 5) Andy947 6) Jaydee 7) TeflonTom 8) Thirdtimeluck 9) Veekar
  5. Becareful when handling the MAF....don't be knocking it around or dropping it.
  6. ....with a nice set of optional extra...noticeably the blue flashing lights of the front wings. Owner is...of course...the Hampshire Constabulary. Silver mk2 Oct RS....seen stopping "Man in a white van" on Saturday. You've been warned.
  7. Payment is only due when you call to arrange deliver or booking for fitment. If having fitment you can either pay a deposit then balance of working completion or full up front. So payment not due until we have the minimum number and I confirm everything with Jabba. 1) themightygez 2) 53fabiaVRS 3)alexst 4) gooFI 5) Andy947 6) Jaydee 7) TeflonTom 8) Thirdtimeluck
  8. That's what I've done....would only get a remap/tuning box and that's it. Do ahve some left overs from my Octy in the garage though; 4 x 18 alloys SMIC standard exhaust manifold for 1.8T 4 X injectors 1.8T standard air box 8 standard speakers standard HU Must have a clear out.
  9. Des...you b*gger!. Don't go posting things like this...I've only just got the luxobarge. EVO8 going for around
  10. I don't think you can just compare volumes....FMIC has got to flow correctly and the type of core is also important. I used to post up a link on FMIC design when this type of question/discussion has been previously raised...can't remember remember where the link is.
  11. 1. Chorsley 2. Q 3. Stu 4. Makefish 5. Hedge 6. DaveU (Friday 23rd please) 7.Chris 8. 12. This is of course in your opinion. There are many good remappers out there...some good...some bad. The good ones are very much of a muchess and then it comes down to price and locations. Go definately for one with a good reputation and talk to them about your requirements. Just don't look at the figures or the price. Price wise....
  13. Get some Wonder Wheels or the MC2 stuff and give a good soaking.

  15. This would make kind of sense...what with rumblings that Seat might be for the chop and Skoda's push upwards in price. I belive Cosworth Tech is owned by VW Group...which is diferent from the Engine side which was bought by a couple of guys who run the Indy / Champ...can't remember which one.... car series in the States.
  16. Wouldn't bother with the Silkolene Pro Race fluid...tis very good but expensive. and not worth it if your not doing track work. Castrol Response dot 4.1 (4 plus) is good enough for road plus a couple of track days. Cost approx half the Pro Race...IIRC. Ferrodo DS2500 pads...approx
  17. PM me details and we can set something out.
  18. Please cna peeps keep the "chatter" to a minimum...it makes it easier to manage the group buy. If you have question please PM Steve and he'll answer you directly and perhaps, posdt up a FAQ of all quetions asked. Ta. 1. Makefish 2.Chris
  19. Right...let's get a little bit of order for this. If your interested please start a list...if you adding to the list.....just cut 'n paste the current list and add your name to the end. As far as I know this is for an uprated clutch for PD Diesels. If there is enough interest perhasp this could include 1.8T but it's then worth going for the single mass flywheel and perhaps getting the crown diff uprated...whilst everything is out. Lets get an idea of the numbers first though...then I can get prices.
  20. Ok... I sanctioned this...I'm happy enough with the information supplied to me. 1) MAC this really needs to be the group buy section. 2) If your interested in it...fine. If not no need to post. Simple...no fuss. 3) If you have questions PM MAC directly...not in the thread. 4) Perhaps using a deposit scheme may help people along plus some details of supplier. 5) Please don't resort to quoting what you can get on ebay or elsewhere....if it was that simple why not arrange a group buy? Finally.....this thread is closed...it's gone past ist's usefulness now. Open GB thread in group buy.
  21. Have a search for the worthwhile mods guide. Has everything you want to know in that. Or do a search through out the forum...plenty of threads on jsut this matter.
  22. Ok..I own up...I know Dave and Des are both running the Jabba FMIC....it's made by Pro Alloy to Jabba's spec. I had one of my Octy....no problems at all through last Summer....after a hard run the inlet mani would be cold. I ran this before getting the big turbo and had no problems. I would say though you should get it remapped to take advantage of the cool inlet charge.
  23. What's young Desmond using? Jabbasport FMIC...no need to cut the crash bar...not the most expensive...not the cheapest...but certainly one of the best. Been tried and tested on RS' running from 250bhp to over 3350+bhp...no probs. Plus you don't really see it behind the grill...unless you really want it to be.
  24. Des...PM me so typical figures for petrol and diesel. Ta.
  25. KW3 with linear springs is what you'll be wanting. You'll be ask what sort of driving you'll be doing so they get preset...don't touch em after that.
