  1. Made the 60 mile return journey with no further warning, and have to say this is the first time i have had it occur on the Octavia, had it 18 months now with just under 30k on the clock. Had the same system on my Leon a few years ago and it only came on when i actually had a puncture, never experienced any nuisance / false alarms, correct me if i'm wrong but the systems we have do not monitor actual tyre pressure, does it, I believe it looks at wheel rotation / speed ???, is this correct.
  2. Had this very same issue arise on my company Octavia today, just at the end of my journey (60miles) the "Error: Tyre Pressure Loss Indicator" warning came on, got out of car checked all wheels, all looked ok, checked pressures all around 32PSI, maybe 0.5 PSI difference on two tyres, so topped them all up to 36PSI, rest and cleared warning. With outside temperatures fluctuating from 6Deg C to 2Deg C, just wondered how much this affects the sensitivity of the sensors ???? :)
  3. I only asked because i found it within the Columbus Manual, it showed it as an option, but when i checked on my Columbus the option was note in the menu.
  4. Not sure why it is shown in the manual if you do not physically have to option in the Columbus, car manuals who need s them
  5. Thanks Gizmo68, as always this forum always comes up with the answers, odd that the Daytime Running Lights option is shown in the Columbus manual though.
  6. I may be missing something here but I have an October 2015 SEL Exec with day time running lights, but within the Columbus Lights Menu I cannot find the option to turn them off, I have Light Assist and Blind Spot Detection, TSR etc. Any ideas on this.
  7. Had my Superb just over a year first service is due 18/10/2017, that is according to the attached sticker located on the side of the drivers side dash board, only visible when you open the door.
  8. That is normal operation, I first discovered this on my Company Octavia, when engine has cut out, as soon as you put any effort into turning the steering wheel the engine starts, this is a safety feature i believe.
  9. We all know that it is not possible to watch video on the move, and rightly so, but on a long journey you can pull in for a stop sit back, relax in the car a watch a film if you want so it is a bonus. My granddaughter loves to sit and watch a Disney movie when we are stopped, in addition you can listen to the film whilst diving if you want to, I have a few music concert gig dvd's and its nice to listen too, even though you can't watch the DVD,just a nice to have.
  10. Yes, just checked, LHD, I'm sure there was a RHD on the web site, sorry guys.
  11. I agree, until variable compression is perfected and you can return the same MPG as a diesel then for me my 2.0 TDI was always the best option, both my company Octavia and my own Superb are diesels, I find both diesels very quiet and I completely forget that I am driving a diesel car. I have managed on one occasion to get 70.1MPG, on average I get 55 - 60 MPG out of the Octavia, without really trying, a petrol just cannot match that at this time, in terms of performance I find the diesel very quick.
  12. Super Skoda, see the link; http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/SUPERB-III/Superb-III-genuine-Skoda-RS-footrest
  13. Thanks for the reply, I have a better understanding of what is available now.
  14. Thanks to all for your replies, I did not realise that there were Torque limitations on the 7 speed dry clutch unit. Are there any known issues with the Passat 7 speed wet clutch unit.
  15. All, I have a question with regards to the DSG option, it only shows the 7 speed option, is this the dry clutch unit that as we know has suffered reliability problems, if so why is the 6 speed unit not available.
  16. I use ECO mode in my works Octavia 90% of the time, I have achieved 70.1 MPG on one occasion, on average I get between 55 - 60 MPG, I slip it into sports mode on long down hill runs as it give good engine breaking. I also tend to use ECO mode on my Superb as well, both cars are 2.0 TDI's with DSG.
  17. I have Premium WLAN, EE Data SIM Purchased and installed into SIM Slot, managed to eventually get it set up, I posted on this issue last year, as I said previously, after much head scratching, mostly due to lack of set up information from EE, connected my iPad to my Skoda Wi-Fi Network, I checked my Download & Upload Speeds, 32Gig down and 20Gig Upload, also checked to ensure that I could connect to the Internet, checked out various web pages including Youtube Video downloading, no issues there, faultless downloading, no lag, it work very well. You also have the option of having a data and phone sim if you want, so a dedicated phone in the car at all times if you wish, Sim only deals are good at the moment.
  18. Same here for me, company Octavia 2.0TDI 150 DSG, first service at Winchester Motor Company (Skoda main dealer) £149, very good service from them, also had my Superb in for recall, again great service.
  19. Thats a shame, this is the first car I have had with ACC, it make congested motorways so much more pleasant, and its a look into the future, fully automated cars, scary.
  20. Good choice, I have the SEL EXEC 2.0TDI 150 DSG, love it, with the 18" Pegasus wheels, you will love the DSG with the ACC, enjoy.
  21. I have a Company Octavia 2.0 TDI DSG Business, with the paddles and it has been faultless, a fantastic piece of kit, on the whole the DSG box works effortlessly, the paddles are a nice option and when you want a little more in your face control, they give it to you. So when I ordered my Superb it was a no brainer, had to be the 2.0TDI DSG and absolutely no regrets, what I would say is, stick to the 6 speed wet clutch DSG and not the 7 speed dry unit, which seems to have had issues. What I have noticed is that the Superb 2.0 TDI DSG Box works slightly differently to the Octavia, it is smother and it would appear that there is a difference in the gear ratios and change up / down times, is it worth £3K yes, without a doubt. Not sure why people have a problem with the DSG being mated to the Diesel, not been an issue for me, but that just my opinion, and with the ACC there is no contest, the car will almost drive its self, fantastic.
  22. I had the LED lighting pack added when i ordered my SEL back in July 2015, KESSY was not a requirement at that time.\
