  1. It used to be status 10 means order accepted, and you could usually make changes up until changed to status 20. This means no changes and your order is locked into line to be built the suggested week. Build week 23 is quite a while away (June 7th I think). Although I don't know 100% for sure @SnoopstaVRS if this is still the case. Best bet it to contact Skoda yourself on the live chat thing or give them a ring. I had the same email as you 6 days after putting my order in, since then I've had changeable dates for buildweek.
  2. Apologies @TheUltraRunner, I was assuming what you meant there! Share this link with your friend, it's just the link to live chat on "contact us" page https://www.skoda.co.uk/discover/contact-us#error-internal-uri=Invalid URI. Minimum number of URI segments is 3. Your friend doesn'tneed their order number if they don't have it, just knowledge of what they ordered and on what date (Skoda let you know the order number if you don't have it, which makes it quicker on future conversations).
  3. Just for delivery updates that is, not for software updates @TheUltraRunner
  4. Sounds like your dealer gave a wide but reliable estimate @dave03. Some nice add ons too!
  5. I'm not sure there is a way at the moment for your profile to be saved with every key start. There are many other frustrated posts or threads saying the same. A few commentators suggested it might be to do with meeting emissions targets. I've not read that it can be coded out and coding things is now a bit more tricky as accessing these systems is a lot more secure, as VCDS can't be used much more and is being replaced with something called SFD: Some of the mods available:
  6. I have the same issue in my current and previous car, but I think a harder dogbone mount may reduce that significantly and might be quite a cheap fix. I'll find a link in a bit and post, think it's a common thing on the MK3 list of basic upgrades for vRS/golf etc.
  7. The dealer emailed me today without me asking for an update and I spoke with Skoda UK on the web chat thing. Not that I don't trust my dealer, it's just he didn't answer my question about build weeks and I was on lunch break at work. What else are you going to do when you're new shiney car may arrive 3 months before you thought! I'll check for updates with Skoda myself, as it's super easy.
  8. Hopefully we're in the same boat @Skodev (figuratively and physically)! You've picked a good car there @Skodev and I would have picked similar but don't do the miles anymore to warrant a diesel. When I changed job roles and moved back to the city, my previous diesel vRS used to moan at the new driving style
  9. I can understand why you might be worried as one of the threads is now 17 pages long, but as yours is a newer build I'd suggest it might not have any of the tech gremlins. Enjoy your first drive tomorrow man, exciting times!
  10. Update from dealer today: car may now arrive in May?! Checked with Skoda and yep, status code 20 for build week 15 (week commencing 12th April). The chap did recommend speaking to them again nearer the time though, which does suggest it may move again. I Ordered vRS estate in meteor grey with DCC on 16th Feb, given estimate of June for delivery. Contacted again on around 13th March to say this changed to unconfirmed build week 26. FYI for anyone interested, I emailed dealer last week asking about changing order to mamba green: they said it's not available at the mo but will be in the future.
  11. Mamba green is there in the configurator, just listed oddly as 1313:
  12. I think it's tricky @Skodev comparing different countries and markets, as @DManel is not UK based like you or me. I know it would be great to get a car as quick as he describes, but it also helps to be a bit cynical. There might be targets to meet certain deadlines or timescales in certain markets that we know nothing about. For e.g. I similar to you popped my deposit down on 16th Feb and received my order confirmed email from Skoda on 22nd Feb. Why it took 6 days for this, 1.5 weeks for you and 2 days for @DManel will likely remain a mystery; similar to why our build weeks are way off in the future. We just have to try and be patient/extend PCP if required/get a stop gap banger or get on your bike!
  13. Not knocking the guy as I like his content and almost purchased can UP GTi when they came out after watching a lot of his videos about them at the time.
  14. He is probably more critical of the vRS than any other YouTube videos I've seen, but he is s proper golf fanboi; anything not a golf is going to be 6/10
  15. Looks brilliant! I might contact the dealer to ask if I can change my order from meteor grey. Unconfirmed build week 26/end of June might be okay if changes are made?
  16. No idea then, it might be an 11.1m turning circle or it might not be! Odd that the measurements are different, maybe because vRS and nonvRS? Either way, this is a thread hijack now: hopefully you get your issues sorted @vedubber!
  17. Screen grab off my car config for my ordered estate, suggests turning circle is 11.1m:
  18. I suppose it might all bit a subjective...my folding mirrors on a MK3 FL have I think always had a small bit of a groan as they fold in and out, but not paid it much attention. Like @john999boy suggests a squirt of WD40 might be enough
  19. If you're not driving much, I'd suggest save your wax for every third/fourth wash at least! Maintenance washes will be fine and it'll still bead beautifully. Or carry on as you are, as I understand the therapeutic benefit of wash and wax!
  20. Who knows man. Within another thread an article it linked to suggested the Octavia just crept in to the top 10 of most purchased cars of 2020 in Europe (or was it UK?), so demand doesn't feel like an issue. "Production cuts" could be related to this: https://www.skoda-auto.com/news/news-detail/covid-testing , which like everywhere else suggests newer measures of working to prevent rona spreading. Or could be related to the cycles of the moon!
  21. **** I forgot to add rear wiper! No way am I adding it now, as that will likely increase wait times, but kicking myself a bit. I read about it before ordering too and just forgot 😶
  22. I hear your frustration @DuncanW, I don't think we're likely to have a good understanding as to why dates are so moveable. Whatever decision you choose will be the right one!
  23. That is definitely green! If the Octavia came with Rallye green again or nicked the Superb Dragon I would have picked them (much to my partners displeasure). I kind of like the mamba green that @TheUltraRunner shared too. The orange I like the look of is this orange ST, Which kind of reminds me a little of solero lollies:
