Got mine in at Skoda Bradford on the 19th. Happening to me all to frequent now. Getting the Loading settings message pop up now when the SOS fault icon appears. didnt before so lived with it. But it locks you out of using the screen.

DSG is a wonderful gearbox, having had a manual VRS and manual cars all my driving life the switch was smooth, to the point I hate driving my wife's car, I occasionally forget to pop it into second when pulling off! The only negative is the one you mentioned, you definitely have less control in slow moving traffic, I either have to drive in sport so it keeps the gear longer, for example 10mph it tends to put the car into second which makes the car run away if that makes sense, you have to use more break input rather than dipping the clutch to control the car. I tend to switch to manual and select first gear in slow moving traffic. Hope that makes sense!

Have the option in the app here too without the aux heater. Never tried it, guess it will just pump warm outside air in the vehicle?

Hi sorry if this has been covered I've tried a search and got to around page 10 and given up! My old MK3 had footwell lighting that matched the colour scheme of the ambient lighting. I cannot see an option in the cars menu to enable footwell lighting? I've just setup the app and noticed on the Skoda shop you can buy additional lighting which states 'Experience ultimate comfort thanks to the interior lights. LED ambient lighting including foot area illumination can offer you up to thirty appealing colour options.' Does this mean you need to buy the above for it to turn on??? I'm confused 😜

First thing I did was look to turn this off. I like a bit of fresh air now and then just opening the window a little. Cue various eco messages, please close window for economy or the like! No car I will open the window when I like thank you 🤗

Mine came with Pirelli Cinturato P7 in October 2021 They have been very good tbf, hardly no road noise and seem to be ok! Was fearing I'd drive into a ditch with the P7s. I have never gotten on with Pirelli tyres.

Yeah it's not that it's expensive it's just an inconvenience, the stuff stinks and is a mess filling the stuff using the crap nozzles you get! I mean the car states engine starting is impossible when it runs out? I really wonder what would happen ?? 🙃

No SD card in mine that I can see. Had to swap my cable for a usb-c to usb-c as there all usb-c ports. Other than the occasional issues, laggy touchscreen I'm sure it would be a very nice upgrade 👍

I now need to fill mine up with adblue again. It recommends 5-10 litres or the car won't start within the next 400 miles! It's on 12000 miles in around 7 months. That's way more than average and 80% is motorway. It had 5 litres at 8k. Not really sure what to make of it. Adblue is definitely an issue. My old MK3 didn't need any of this rubbish.

Let me know if it works, leaving it to time out is a good shout. Other than the two issues I have, every other aspect of the car is perfect! I'm hoping in time software fixes will resolve the issues.

Mine does this often whilst using android auto, I go to turn the volume up on a song I like and it turns up the I presume alert volume (person speaking icon) what I have found works 100% of the time is by pressing the below button on the wheel then pressing X when it pops up on the infotainment screen. It's very annoying, I need to get it looked at ASAP as also my touch screen is very laggy when inputting addresses its almost impossible to use the screen.

My VRS Diesel needed a Quart, no mention of Litres, strange measurement had to Google how may Litres it was 😀 this was on around 10k

For me it's the passenger side I'm getting dazzled by most. Only the door handle as the trim is black gloss on mine. Thinking about just putting some electrical black tape around the top curved but this is where it seems to reflect most. Some bits of chrome effect around the steering wheel also catches the light a lot. Strange design by Skoda. Must of been tested in Winter.

Yes the roads are very slippery ATM! Bit strange having a diesel FWD car have launch control, would be interested to see how it works in summer when there shouldn't be as much wheel spin!! 🤣

Hi so has anybody had a little play with launch control yet? The weather is so poor I thought I'd give it a try rather than wait until spring/summer 🤣 quite good fun actually in the DSG, and with very poor Pirelli tyres. Never had this on the older VRS as it was a manual! Just want to know if Skoda have some sort of log and flag this up when in for a service or warranty work? I guess if it's built into the car Skoda deem it safe on the gearbox?
