  1. The FL vRS will now come with TWO brollies ☂️☂️
  2. Nice! I am either tempted by a secondhand merc E43 AMG with pano roof or wait for the vRS and spec pano roof on that. Having a day or so of sunshine can make you want a pano roof!
  3. Hi folks A friend is about to purchase a 2021 octavia first edition which I understand comes with the swing headunit. Not to start AnOThEr thread about headunit woes, but I have two questions: Have folk who have had the swing headunit experienced the classic freezes/POP-POP/nonsense? A quick search of the mega-thread didn't suggest so, but I may have missed comments elsewhere What is the latest software version for swing? Ta very much
  4. I also have had vRS for just shy of 3 years with DCC, no issue at all. You may have seen on the forum from other messages/comments about DCC, it's a defo good option (only option I opted for); and this is my third vRS in a row. On future cars I think I'd always seriously consider adding it/looking for cars that have it already. Great for kids who may get car sick as can set it to super-squishy mode.
  5. Separate insurance products such as https://www.ala.co.uk/keycare is fairly cheap (I think I paid about £25 for 12 months cover), and you can get one of those Bluetooth keyfinder thingies that helps you locate your keys, in the event you have misplaced them. Very handy! PS: I think cover includes lost keys
  6. I think there's a gremlin in the system somewhere, as I've had the same error message. Logging out (press the "leave" button in your image) and signing in again kicks it up the bum
  7. I think mamba green is an awesome colour! My partner doesn't however
  8. When I've had infotainment gremlins, I've found turning ignition off, opening the drivers door for a moment (no need to get out), closing it and then restarting usually kicks it up the bum.
  9. No. A few electronic gremlins here and there (which will hopefully get sorted when in for service in a couple of weeks); had it almost a year
  10. Good choice with the DCC. I echo the views shared by others, I have a vRS with it and think it's ace. Local roads to me aren't too bad, but on longer family holiday drives (such as a 3 hour drive to Norfolk recently), comfort mode defo softened the ride. It may have even helped with car sickness with one of the kids, although I don't have anything to prove this and don't fancy experimenting too much with this theory!
  11. I almost got the same as @Jmagee, but they were out of stock. I have https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07RXQLV5C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_X9ZKKTDERFNXPYHHS221?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 I don't think the parking mode on most dashcams would work, as I don't think the USB c constant live?
  12. Yeah man, you have to be a bit forceful with the glove box to pop it open. Also don't forget to reconnect the slow release arm thingy on the right hand side when you're finished (you'll know what I mean when you see it).
  13. 14 weeks sounds quite ambitious, based on other people's experiences; but maybe iV is being prioritised? 🤷‍♂️
  14. I'm also in the peaks with the same car, boom! Also consider taking out fuses 19 (infotainment) and 30 (SOS module) for over ten minutes, I had errors when I first picked mine up and since trying this after a few days I've never had any SOS errors since. I might have the numbers for the modules mixed up (had a few drinks), but be careful with the 7.5amp fuse as it's super tiny: I dropped mine and it was a ballache to find
  15. It annoys me (as someone who drives in the UK) that the wires available are all about 24-26cm, which isn't really long enough if the dashcam is over on the left. I've just used a shorter wire and have it on the right because I couldn't be bothered searching for slightly longer wires. The dashcam I have has a screensaver mode (screen switches off after 5secs of driving) so it isn't distracting and you kind of forget it's there.
  16. Heated steering wheel was only standard for a few short months during early 2020, now it's part of winter pack and not standard. Heated front seats are standard however.
  17. http://www.kopacek.com/Octavia-IV/ used to be the go to place for accessories, however packages to UK now have to be fairly small in size/low weight. Like others have said, the dealer local to you is worth checking out too (even though you're probably not buying from them), they won't give you free stuff but price on some stuff might be good
  18. I'm impressed with the coverage of every piece of carpet. Time will tell obv, but it feels very sturdy. It's super easy to clean/wipe, I wish I'd had one for previous cars (rather than having to bend over awkwardly/climb into boot to hoover)
  19. *update* Boot liner is here! Also with cut outs for boot nets if that's your thing:
  20. I don't recognise 7 out of 8 either, who mentioned that lease company/dealer/Skoda? I'd defo ask what they meant. I know I've said this before @Wonderloaf but you started this thread 17 pages ago, and still you don't have your car that's tough man, anything else taking your fancy or are you going to continue to chase and wait?
  21. Ooh well, at least you may know what the issue is now. Hopefully clicking Boise's don't annoy you too much (I don't)!
  22. Whatever it is, it sounds like it's occuring pretty close to your dashcam. Not encountered your error before, but have you had any issues with your SOS function?
  23. Beaut of a second car there @MiniNinjaRob! I also share the love for estates, just so versatile (not long returned from a tip run with it full to the top). Edit: ours is six weeks old, a couple of gremlins but now all sorted and fine
