  1. You've come this far man! I guess unless your lease company can guarantee you a stock car, a lot of the other manufacturers are struggling too
  2. That's **** @Wonderloaf, you started this thread 9 pages ago! That is such a long time to wait with no build date info, whether it's a lease car or not.
  3. I'd second what @Shelvock says there @Wonderloaf; chat function is super easy, they're open until 20:00 (or 22:00?) at night I think and tell you exactly where your order is. When calling dealers it usually means you have to leave a message/email, then wait for an email or call back. With the chat function you don't need your order number if you don't have it, you just need to know what you ordered, when and your personal details (they will share your order number with you if you don't have it). Each time I've used the chat, it's been concluded in a couple of minutes as I got the info I was looking for. EDIT: @Shelvock when do you think it's appropriate to chase again, last time I chased was the weekend?
  4. Amazing amount bit of packing you must have done to get it all in, plus people. If you'd left the Dyson and/or ironing board I still think you'd have a story out of it. I like to imagine packing a car with loads of stuff is a bit like a puzzle...my partner just leaves me alone and I'll happily pack by myself...so rock n roll!
  5. Lovely story there @FlyingGecko of adventure, but I disagree. I think most folk use roof boxes situationally, usually holidays. We use a roof bag (a cheaper version of a roof box and packs down super small!) for big family camping trips; with the rest of the time totally fine with the space available in the car.
  6. @OctaviaFirstEdit another petrol vRS, meteor grey and just DCC as an add on. As we're in danger of hijacking the thread: I've read a lot of the posts from you guys who have just had **** experiences, both from your supplying dealers and from Skoda themselves; enough worry to affect sleep I bet! I hope you all get your situations resolved. Due to lack of action from most dealers I've read about or Skoda themselves means you guys have to continue being bold and pester folk until you get some sort of resolution.
  7. I'm not sure what model you're looking for @OctaviaFirstEdit but my face lift MK 3 vRS goes back to my local dealer in May as part-ex, and your signature suggests you're in east mids. If you were in the market for a black petrol vRS estate, then that's a good one to look for!
  8. You're right @Mario_Delgado, I just read their development page over my lunch break, seems like good stuff! https://www.onlyrevo.com/blog/volkswagen-golf-mk8-gti-revo-performance-upgrades/
  9. Hey @peshetoman if you go to the contact us page on the Skoda website https://www.skoda.co.uk/discover/contact-us and click on the speech bubble, you'll be able ask questions about your order. Some supplying dealers are better than others at updating you, so you might be best to ask Skoda yourself when you want to check something/know something. EDIT: sorry forgot to add, that's the UK site and not sure where you live, but that link should redirect you to your local site
  10. My order is at the same spot as yours @Shelvock, hopefully they catch a ship soon (mine has been there since 15th April). in this article it suggests chip situation won't get any better until late 2021 or early 2022: https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/amp/car-news/industry-news/global-chip-shortage/ So estimates of next year might be common place for a while now!
  11. I think the bad weather and snow in Texas a while also had some impact on production of the chips to car manufacturing market which was already pretty desperate for them: https://www.ft.com/content/ec2f93ad-d23c-4ff4-867a-59385d1cc8a6 That's a kool looking care @Skodev , I quite prefer those standard wheels to the ones on the vRS! Even if there is a small delay, 5 weeks will zoom by. Share a picture of it when you get it
  12. Aww man that is ****. Three months, no info and no order: you've got a pretty good level of patience man. Good luck with the whatever you get and hopefully you get it soon man!
  13. Got an update from Skoda yesterday: status 38 and sitting at the port in Emden, awaiting to be assigned a ship. I had a look at ships regularly transporting from Emden to UK ports (Sheerness or Grimsby usually) and this one appears fairly regular at the mohttps://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ships/shipid:416498/mmsi:355351000/imo:9235414/vessel:MALACCA_HIGHWAY Any update on your 4x4 orders @Skodev or @edrenshaw ?
  14. @AviationNut I think you do have rights though beyond those 30 days. I'd find out a bit more searching for you (consumer law isn't my thing) but need to crack on with work. A quick search suggests the below might be an option:
  15. Oh my days that's not a deal; surely you can refuse the car, not sell it back?!
  16. That's what I meant sorry, he might be upset if rear door LEDs are missing. He'll get over it, just wonder what other bits are missing!
  17. When my MKIV arrives my eldest son may be upset, as he really likes to change the colours on our current MKIII.
  18. It will be interesting to see what happens for sure. vRS also sells really well in the UK market, I read a stat ages ago ... can't find it now, second covid jab making me fuzzy is my excuse!
  19. The car press announced it a couple of days ago @Skodev, looks like there will be a petrol 4x4 in sportline trim; kind of like R-line for VW or whatever the sporty looking trim is for Audi. Usually these trims are just shows bits like seats and minor body tweaks, but 4x4 and petrol TSI in 190 form is quite attractive
  20. Ooh, it will be interesting to see what specs it comes out with and what the differences are. Article suggests it can come with DCC as an add on, standard 17" wheels (18/19 optional), 3 spoke steering wheel, sporty seats etc.
  21. I think the same @Shelvock, that it probably will be the last purchase a lot of us do. I think other folk a while ago ordered 4x4 option didn't they @Skodev? I know it's disheartening, but maybe give the live chat option a go; worse case scenario they tell you f*** all, which is where you are already.
  22. Oh my days, 41 tabs! I keep trying the new grouping thing with tabs, I don't like it yet but I'll keep trying. That does sound like some kind of movement @Skodev, as those are the bits you do near the end usually aren't they?
  23. It was suggested the last time I spoke with Skoda to get in touch again to confirm build week; I did that just now and they too said build time could be two weeks. My build week is 15 (next week). No mention of delivery times, but I guess they give a big estimate? Brexit? @Shelvock exciting times mate! You also have 18 tabs open on your browser, the mild-OCD in me would like to close some of them!
  24. I think we all understand how frustrating it must have been for you @DuncanW. What spec and colour did you get in the end?
  25. A parcel shelf? Or whatever the estate slidey one is called. My partner gets annoyed with it and leaves it open, but I think it's fine
