  1. I'm with Adrian Flux/Equity Red Star, last year i paid £540 all mods declared, this year, £440! Very happy. According to Chris Knott, the market rate for me is £620 with no mods! They told me to bite their hand off!
  2. I can see one blue wire out of place. Seriously though, very nice, I have been known to be an 8" sub man myself, much better imo for sql.
  3. Still waiting to be able to fit mine, it was incomplete.:(
  4. Ah but ! There wasn't such a rule when I drove my Saxo around at Trax 2003, I only taped my front lights to protect them from flying stones.
  5. Why tape the rear lights?
  6. You'll not get anywhere with this unfortunately, how much does it bother you is what you've got to ask yourself before choosing what to do.
  7. I'll be able to tell you how good these are in a week or so: http://www.valeoservice.com/html/export/en/produits.focusdetail.php?wid=49364375443A6C7B45573B
  8. They arrived today, hurray! I must say they look absolutely mint, that TT couldn't have got much off the end of the production line before the brakes were snaffled!! Now where's my trolley jack?!
  9. I've just bought some Valeo aero style wipers (x-trm?) from Ebay which come with a convertor to fit standard arms. It'll be a little while yet till i can comment on then as i had to pay by cheque but at least they're the correct size.
  10. TTS route = £200ish plus a spare set of used calipers. GolfTurbo route = £255 plus a spare set of delivery mileage calipers. New OEM = £100ish for discs and pads, something daft like £150-200 for caliper carriers!!
  11. with a dlp projector for special occasions. That's if your serious about picture quality. :P
  12. Not sure what you mean, presumably as a result of my post being as clear as mud. Does this help - the brakes are from a delivery mileage Audi TT, supplied by a chap who's username on here and ukmkivs is GolfTurbo. Lots of guys off of here and ukmkivs have got their upgrade from him, hence the comment 'just the usual'. I have found another source since ordering, not necessarily better but a little cheaper. TTS Roadsport (The TT Shop) are doing calipers and carriers for
  13. GolfTurbo mate, just the usual. Its the carriers that are key, new pads and discs stand you in about £100, no need for the calipers (thanks for the info Eddy!) but the carriers are a swine to get hold of. I rang a few scappies but decided my time was more precious than a bit more money, just sent GolfTurbo the business. Some carriers appeared on Ebay this weekend but soon were removed, presumably someone made him a good enough offer!
  14. Obviously they'll need to bed in a bit but any first impressions? My 312mms should be arriving next week.
  15. Hey Eddy, shouldn't your signature be 1.9T now?
  16. Maybe maximum without changing engine internals? The skys the limit if you only retain the block!! There's no reason why it wouldn't be an everyday driver either with modern control systems.
  17. I'll be doing the same change myself, next week hopefully assuming GolfTurbo gets my money soon. Just checking my understanding.
  18. Do the calipers need changing? Is it only the 4x4 where the calipers are the same as the TT jobs? Could save you a job.
  19. Not really' date=' mine just takes a serves you right approach. She said the other day I can have a motorbike if I want, maybe i'm not dying quick enough for her! Yep, my nice new WTB saddle lasted exactly 6 days! I can add a new rear wheel and bent frame to that accident damage list too, fortunately it was my old bike.
  20. My list this year: fractured rib, torn ligament, torn tendon, assorted bruising, swelling and grazing. I swear on my last off an invisible person put an invisible stick thru my front wheel, there's no other explaination!
  21. 4.5% for me, rated as the top of 'strong' on pay for performance (what a joke!). Still, any % of a small number is still a small number. :(
