Mines a 53 plate (Oct) 47000 on the clock, wudda been 50K+ if it hadn't have been nicked when it were 10 days old & been off the road while the necessary parts arrived.... Will the new VRs arrive before this ones done 50K I wonder??

Never thought about that, my key has never been in the lock. But I lube the motorbike lock with graphite tho.

Not graphite grease, graphite dry powder, used for lubricating locks with tumblers in (Yale locks, Euro locks etc). Trust me, I'm a Joiner...

Don't use WD40 or anything similar all it does is attract muck, get some graphite from a good hardware shop & just dust the key with it & then put the key in the lock...

When I enquired about when the new VRs would be available I was told "about 18 months".

Had the VRs in today for its first MOT, sat waiting for the result was awfull, haven't had a car MOTd since 1988!!! Anyway it passed, now only to wait till late Nov for the new VRS I've ordered..

My VRs brakes have always been great, hope the new one I've ordered is the same?

You could have my VRs with 45K on the clock for the trade in price ie not much more than 7K?

with my build I'd look like a gorrilla on a mini moto on a 675!!!! Although the 675 is a nice bike, I'm not into sports bikes.

at the moment I have a 04 Triumph Thunderbird Sport 900, thinking about the new 07 Tiger 1050.....thats why I've been a bit debating a new VRs, dint want it to interfere with plan to swap my bike....mustn't be greedy!!!

Been a while making my mind up about trading my 53 plate VRs in for a new one. Spec I've gone for is silver with xenons, cruise, ESP, didn't bother with the 6 CD changer as the one I have has been nothing but bother. Trouble is, will have to MOT mine & tax it again cos delivery date is back end of Nov. nyway, now I've decided I can turn my attention to trading my motorbike in for a new one.............. :) :)

For my next trick I plan filling the other halfs MG TF with diesel!!!!

Further to my previous post.....The worlds only petrol Fabia VRs is sorted... The petrol has been drained, by disconnecting the feed to the fuel filter & putting the feed pipe into a drum, then we connected a pipe to the fuel filter & into a can of fresh diesel, ran the car which pumped the petrol into the drum, the car runs ok, contaminated petrol given to my brother for his lawn mower!!! Only cost was,

put half a tank in, can't syphon it back out cos has anti-syphon fitted. AA have brought it home.

Guess what, I've put petrol in the VRs, any ideas how to get the petrol out off the tank??

So, if I don't wait for the xenon lights, which uprated (legal) bulbs are best?

TKW I'm trading the car in rather than valet the front seats.........only joking, its 3yrs old, done 45K & I usually swap every 2yrs. I know the cost of Xenons after a bump, when the VRs was 10 days old a set of gangsters broke into our house, took the keys, & the car, unfortunately they bumped the front corner, the xenons took ages to replace, as it were a relatively new model. Having said that I put a few miles on the Fabia estate the dealer leant me while they were repairing the VRs. In the spec I want, Silver, 6CD, cruise & Xenons, cloth seats its mid to end of Nov delivery. Can have one same spec, no xenons straight away. MOT needed on mine about 2 weeks............ Need to sort out new car,

Planning to trade in my 53 plate VRs for a new one, been offered one without xenon, anyone any experience of both type of lights, is xenon really any better??

I'm about to trade in my 03 VRs for a new one & cos the cloth seats on mine look very gruby I decided on leather, until I saw the price

The rear window expldoded on my VRs when the heated rear window was on one day, replaced under warranty,
