Even more software errors
So Skoda emailed to pass on what this update involves: “Travel assist will need to be temporarily deactivated which in turn will deactivate the emergency assist function completely. The Start/Stop function of the ACC will be reduced.” So, not an update, and rather, turning stuff off. 🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼

Even more software errors
So my car has recently started to ding away while driving along, not on every trip, but certainly on most trips, flagging errors for a few seconds. I get an error with emergency assist on the virtual cockpit, and a ding. Lasts a few seconds, and disappears, then reappears, dings, and disappears. Will cycle with annoying dinging and then flag an error with travel assist on the virtual cockpit, ding, and then disappear. If travel assist is activated, the error will knock it out, and I can then re-engage once the error disappears. The process may start all over again, flagging an error for a few seconds, dinging away, and then eventually stop, until the next trip or start again a few moments later. I do not think this is the problem with the popping noise and associated knocking out of the emergency assist system. Had that a while ago and was fixed. Saw on some VW forums that others have had this, and a suggestion it may be a fault with the capacitive steering wheel. I am on 1896.

Sound generator rattle Mk IV
I’ve had the same off and on for ages. I always turn the fake exhaust sound off.

Full matrix headlights - working as designed or not?
I also changed mine to the most sensitive ages ago and no longer get flashed.

One Step Forward, Two back.
I also have an intermittent auto hold not releasing problem. Been to the dealers who could not replicate and said there is nothing they know of in terms of software update. Flicking the gear selector into S mode seems to release the brakes or restarting the car.

Service campaigns option appeared in settings
Same here. Assumed it is for proper OTA updates.

Travel Assist KPH/MPH
So…looks like the swapping speed signs to kph has been fixed, but two instances of ACC stopping me from overtaking today. However, tapping the accelerator led me to proceed as needed and it did not reoccur. Previously, it would keep doing this for a period of time. Update: wireless Apple CarPlay would not reconnect and so I did a soft reset. This led my phone to reconnect fine, but sent travel assist into meltdown and it started to cycle between kph and mph with speed signs changing on the display. A few more soft resets while on the fly sorted it. So, while the update is certainly an improvement, still not perfect. I’m on 22.3 for the maps.

Travel Assist KPH/MPH
Infotainment software has been updated to 1896, which appears faster, some changes to menu layout, and thus far, travel assist problems appear sorted. Niggles with wireless Apple CarPlay connections also seem to have resolved as being unable to adjust the lights for driving on the left and right.

Octavia RS 4 vs Superb Sportline 3
Switched from a Superb SE L Estate 150 to a vRS estate 245, and have some regrets. Mainly, the poor tech on the new car which has never worked properly.

Infotainment System Switched Off?
This happened to me once…until I realised that I needed to turn the thing on. The issue was I hadn’t turned it off previously so was puzzled.

- ACC problem - can it have gone away?
Have had this problem for a year. If you have the system activated, and “speed limit preview” turned on, the car will adjust the ACC automatically to match the speed read by the road sign recognition. Often, this is too slow as it is reading in kph, but occasionally it does the opposite…setting the speed automatically to 90mph or 110mph and zooming away as the signs are read in kph, but the car wants to travel in mph.- Travel Assist KPH/MPH
