  1. Auto wiping in the rain is activated in the vehicle settings via the infotainment unit.
  2. Could this become a "how many times have you been to the dealer with problems" thread based on our Digital Certificates?
  3. Canadians, Australians, New Zealanders, and Americans call it high beam. Probably many others.
  4. Auto lights on (dipped beam) remains on once activated. Auto main beam doesn’t.
  5. No symbol - dipped beam only. Dipped beam will activate as required if this setting is chosen (on the main switch) - that is, when it gets dark. Depress the stalk once for auto-main beam and again for main beam on - you would need to deactivate manually if you have turned it on manually.
  6. White means auto main beam. Can annoy others from time to time. There is a lights on symbol that illuminates on the switch itself when the headlights activate.
  7. I had this - faulty switch that was swapped out under warranty.
  8. I've also joined the 1941 club. Definitely faster and the re-boots have been given the boot.
  9. And me...using Apple CP. Yet to try to suggested turning off BT and Wi-Fi.
  10. Car starts fine. Yes, you do get notifications for the OTA updates.
  11. Thought to just add…I’m another one with the restarting infotainment on 1896, but not the VW stream. Been like it for many weeks, with occasional weeks with no restarts. However, lately it has been doing it multiple times per day and multiple times per journey. Off to the dealer next week. I do not expect a resolution. Two days ago, I started getting a warning, Fault: vehicle lighting, and Warning: Check Adaptive Frontlight system. My lights are now on all the time and cannot be turned off. My switches for the lights are no longer illuminated. I also get the occasional error for this and that including parking sensors, manoeuvring braking, front assist etc. While I cannot say for certain, other than the infotainment restarting, the car had settled down for a spell…and then there was a couple of OTA updates and my error hit rate went up!
  12. I had the same problem and all functions back today.
  13. I’ve lost the ability to lock and unlock my car along with some other options. I can only turn on the ventilation and see my parking position. Been like this for four days.
  14. My understanding is that this is the fix. This is an updated steering wheel, according to the dealer, rather than a like for like swap.
  15. Just to update, this has been fixed. Hooray! Had a new steering wheel.
  16. I also put them on mine without drilling coming up to 2 years ago and they are still there and fine.
  17. Octavia very near the bottom. https://www.whatcar.com/news/2022-what-car-reliability-survey-family-cars/n23409

  19. Just to add, I have the same problem for some time, but yet to mention to the dealer.
  20. I’ve had the same issue. Dealer removed the pump to find the mesh filter blocked with some sort of residue. They never worked that well from new relative to my previous Skodas, pushing water halfway up the screen and only after running for some seconds, but stopped working with just a slight spit out of them a couple of months ago. They cleared the filter, and the jets work now. However, advised that this is my fault as I have contaminated the tank. They wanted over £300 to tear it down and replace the tank and pump. I am uncertain how I could have contaminated the tank, and considering that they work better now than they ever did, has led me to consider that this might be a problem with the tank and/or filter from new. My headlight washers have always worked fine.
  21. You can adjust them up or down with your hand. They aren’t linked that I know of?
  22. Had this. Fine mesh filter on the pump was blocked with some goop affecting both front and rear washers. No idea how it got there. Cleaned and put back together and fine. Would suggest you take it back to the dealer.
  23. Mine has been throwing errors pretty constant on some journeys, infrequent on others, or nothing at all on some.
