At long last... SW Version 1896

Had mine updated from 1668 to 1896 three weeks ago (took 2 days). All good, just 2 strange things: - when reducing the temp using the left controller (because the sync only works with that one!), sometimes it turns the radio volume off - I now have wireless android auto 😀, but the virtual dashboard directions only work when my phone is wirelessly connected -

My dealer is Alan Day Southgate. Maybe you can get the updates done there... -

On my car, as the Speedo and Rev counter move clockwise, the speed and revs are lit behind the needle up as you go faster - is that what yours does? -

So, last Thursday my car went in to have the SOS fault looked at (it was so frequent I had to turn the eSim off). After many software patches, I am pleased to say it hasn't occured since (fingers crossed). Interestingly, the service person had several papers with changes that had been applied - but he wasn't able to show me them or let me keep them... -
Update. My car is back with the new virtual dashboard and mph/kph is working now 😀. Unfortunately, I will have to wait for the replacement for recall 91CP as that contained the new online control unit software to hopefully solve my ongoing SOS failures.

Just dropped my car off for the new virtual dashboard and been informed that Skoda have withdrawn update 91CP 😞 Maybe because of the install errors several owners have reported...

Yes, that is normal, but the email still goes through! Btw: should be Kate Laws.

My dealer confirmed 91cp includes "software updates for the OCU (SOS Control Unit), A/C Control Unit and MIB (Infotainment system)" I am hoping the MIB update is 1810 and that the SOS errors are addressed. I did see that a couple of cars couldn't accept the update because their OCU (online control units) had errors and needed replacing first...

If your car has no suffix, it most likely cannot change from mph to kph in the (units) settings (there is a long thread about this on the forum kph/mph). If so, you need to contact Kate Laws at Skoda UK on [email protected] to tell her your car is one of those affected. Several forum members are either currently receiving or will soon receive new virtual dashboard to fix this issue - but this must be coordinated between Kate and your Skoda dealer. When the car is at the dealer for this change, it is usual practice that the garage applies any outstanding updates to your car. This should hopefully include the update to software 1810 and head unit revision F. Hope that helps!

I believe you need to ask for recall 91cp. Enter your vin on this website and it will tell you what recall updates you are missing: https://aus.skoda.com.au/request/vin-checker#secb

Mine's booked in for 20 December for a new virtual dashboard and software update cp91 🤞.

Did you get update 91CP?
