Travel Assist KPH/MPH
What software updates did they apply to your car? I am still on 1803. I suggested that they might look to update my software when I dropped the car off at the dealer, but they responded in a rather disinterested way. This is my 8th Skoda and will likely be my last. These problems, coupled with faulty parking sensor errors, camera not always coming on in reverse, all round sluggish infotainment unit, the annoying dash popping noise, stereo cutting out, maps not loading, and dealer who is not markedly concerned or responsive has put me off. I would have thought, having bought 8 cars off the dealer over my life, they might have shown more concern. They once told me that these issues might be a “feature of the car” or maybe because I have a camera plugged into the USB port on the rear view mirror.

Travel Assist KPH/MPH
Thought to update…had the virtual cockpit swapped and thus far no problems. Time will tell once I cover some more miles, but hopefully this has cured my kph/mph issues with traffic sign recognition with travel assist. Edit: Scratch that out completely. Time has revealed today that this has NOT fixed my issues with kph/mph. It’s exactly the same as it always was! Still incorrectly reading road signs in kph and adjusting my speed accordingly. Some roads seems more prone than others, where it tends to always happen, but not always and at times it seems random. Noted that headlight adjustment settings are still automatically reverting back to driving on the right. Also, ACC automatically tries to stop you from overtaking still, thinking you are undertaking. So this proposed fix is pants if you travel assist as an option. Here is a picture from today.

Information Campaign
Same for me - disappeared after I hit ok and has not come back. I tried deleting my account from the car, adding it again, paired my two keys again, and made myself the primary user again. Nothing.

Carplay display issue - Anyone?
1803…there is an older post on the forum where some others have also experienced it. Noted it can occur repeatedly for a period, and then doesn’t occur for weeks.

Carplay display issue - Anyone?
Seen it repeatedly on mine. Hit the home button and then back into Apple car play…it’s gone. Only happens when using Waze.

Travel Assist - Steering Wheel button
I have this option on mine. You should get a notification sweeping in from the left saying travel assist is activated. You need ACC set to on, but not necessarily active. The two lights on the lower right for lane assist and ACC become a single icon.

I’ve also had contact today to inform me that a replacement virtual cockpit has been ordered for my car and the dealer will be in touch to book me in for a swap.

Travel Assist KPH/MPH
Nothing other than a sometimes weekly email or phone call from Skoda saying they are trying to sort as per the other thread about mph/kph. It’s a pain if you have ACC set to adjust the speed automatically according to the road sign recognition as it randomly changes to kph on the motorway, dropping your speed to 44mph (70kph) or 68 (100kph) and anchoring the brakes. It does this randomly in all places and not just the motorway. I have had it get stuck cycling between kph and mph every so many seconds which is almost amusing as the car will slow then speed up and slow again as it cycles between mph and kph. Turned the option to adjust speed automatically off. Car will try to stop you overtaking using ACC if it begins to read signs in kph though even if speed adjustment via road sign is turned off. The only thing that seems to stop it is a reset of the infotainment while driving and when it reboots, flick the ACC off and on, and if it picks up a new road sign, it reverts to mph. However, if there isn’t a sign for a while, it continues to show kph, and you may have to reboot again until you grab a new sign on the camera. I’m on 1803 software wise. Have seen on VW forums that VW owners have the same problem and Skoda told me on the phone there are some VW and Audi cars with the same fault.

KPH/MPH
Just had a call from her - she said that they have received feedback from 1 owner, who must be you, and there is another, who they are waiting to speak to still. They think they may have cracked it but need to wait a little longer for things to be finalised. Excellent work!

Super - let us know if your ACC stops you from overtaking at any point.

I just had a call from Kate stating that they are trying this in some test vehicles (perhaps yours?); moving forward, and assuming all goes well, the rest of us will get a new cluster and associated software update.

3rd Software Update done! Fixed
I have had 1803 on my car for about a fortnight also. This has not fixed all the errors, but the occasional ACC not available error seems to have gone. My climate controls haven't vanished since, but that was not markedly frequent before the update, so hard to tell.

Just taken delivery...and then found this forum
Looking forward to a fix. My previous superb with ACC had no issues.

I was updated to 1803 last week. My car has travel assist and the car still randomly reads road signs in kph, tries to slow when overtaking while using ACC, and then swaps back to mph randomly. Also, cannot set the headlights to driving on the left in settings. Mine was built 18 Dec 2020.

Travel Assist KPH/MPH
As a way of update, Skoda rang me after bringing the car into the dealer. They are awaiting a fix from the factory as this is a known issue that they are investigating and they consider a software fault. Whether and when it gets sorted it another matter. I was told that the car is defaulting to driving on the right and this should not happen. They also told me that if 5 different customers report a similar fault with a car it triggers the factory to investigate and look to generate a fix.
