2011 fabia 1.6 tai glow plug light flashing
Can I ask, who plugged the reader? Was it the mechanic? I would have uncoupled the dpf after the new turbo and tested (without driving) to see if the same code comes up.

I wish you could have seen it for yourself. It didn't looked scored that much and the grooves where you fixed the bearing in place were also red, how can it be , why would there be scoring on the side of this wall? To me they looked perfectly fine.

Roomster engine undertray.
it helps with wind turbolence and might give you a few MPG. I think roomster 1 and Fabia MK2 preface lift are the same.

I have grinded a bearing down to see if it is red and there's no copper there, I think it's just the same metal, I know some are copper with a coating on but this does look to be like that.

In some bmws apparently they had colour coded bearings having different clearances etc. I didn't find anything related to VAG. I actually reinstalled it as I didn't want to mess with it. It had less wear than the others but that might be because of the colour. I've inspected the rod bearings and the crank bearings and haven't found any particular damage/wear. Back to reassembly.

I read that this is a different type of bearing because there was very minimal scoring, almost looks like it's got a coating on it. Is there such thing as red bearings, blue berings or yellow ones? the other half looked identical. Why would this score inside this groove? that should be silver still if that was the case?

Noted. I am the 2nd owner of this car, I had it since it was 2 years old. I nor the dealer ever dropped the sump or been in here. I ordered a set of 10 bolts from Skoda and they are identical.

Difficult to show, the journal has these stripes that run horizontal from one end to another. I think I might be ok.

the cranckshaft bolt head has somewhat snapped off and I have unscrewed the bolt by hand. What does this mean? Do I need to check for scooring? can I just add a new bolt?

Not at all, it comes bubbling out from the middle of the tank. Pressure must have been high yet no pipes are leaking and I have had the cap off. But should there be pressure like that in the system?? I bought another head gasket tester and I have negative results again. I waited until everything was up to temperature and did it mani times. I went and placed it near the exhaust after just to humour me and it turned yellow within less than a minute. I'm actually waiting for a friend to spare a weekend and help me pull the engine out. Might take it down to a garage first and ask for their diagnostic.

The car ran at temperature for 1h or so, drove it around and the coolant stayed the same. I don't know the answer, not sure what chuffing sound you are hearing, I may have got used to it or something.

what other test can I possibly do to diagnose a bad head gasket?

Is my engine dead?
Because of the rattly cluncky noise at high revs? Does a head gasket causes that?

Is my engine dead?
so I had a friend that came over and he pretty much said bottom end in his opinion. We did a compression test 390psi, 390psi, 380psi, 380psi (last two the battery was struggling still on charger). Compression looks good. Then we took the cam cover off to check for cam wear and everything looked smooth and shiny but didn't do anything past spinning it and checking the cams. Img for reference but not sure you can see anything. I'm not sure if it's a head gasket still, I am still taking in consideration what has been said so thanks @sepulchrave it's still on my list. Next step is oil pan off and inspection of the bearings. I have a camshaft position reading of -1.5° at all times not sure if this makes a difference? Side note, there is some oil coming off between engine and gearbox, a mist but noticeable.

I have 2 other cars, this one was for motorways only as it's more confortable to drive long journeys. I think I might park it for a while and have a good think about it.

I was desperate I tried. What's this car worth in this condition? Scrap value?

I've completed a injector adaptation again this morning and the car did it's reving thing for 20min and when I went back to inspect the engine bay, I also topped up the coolan system with some of that steel seal HG liquid which took it bang on in the middle of the tank, and this is what I found. That missing coolant is back, wtf... It was way below the min line and now it's at the top. Also I was peaking under it when it was reving and the knocking sound was definitely louder under near the oil pan. I might pull the pan off and inspect the bearings just for the fun of it at this stage.
