  1. My Jan 2017 SE L Executive with Columbus media has Smartlink which required the phone to be connected to USB.
  2. HI Bap33. I'd really like to see your pics of the baby seats please.
  3. This is the exact search term that gave no results on this forum so I thought I'd start a new topic. A daughter is looking for a car that can take three child seats across the back and strongly desires not to become a people carrier person. I know the Superb has only two Isofix mounts and the third seat would have to be secured with the seatbelt**, but has anyone fitted three child seats across the width of a Superb estate? Any help much appreciated. **When my children were young all the car seats were secured with seatbelts, and the centre row middle seat in my people carrier## only had a lap belt. How times change! ## hence my daughter's desire not to get a people carrier!!!!!!!!!!
  4. My Atera bars, bought for my mk11, are about 122cm long plus about 3cm for the end plastic fittings. They work perfectly on my mk111.
  5. Lots of options here, including the Thule bars you want: https://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel3.php?emulate=roofbar&query=8319&vptype=589494 I have had good service from this company.
  6. Hi there. What you do is click on the town. At the bottom of the screen there is a button marked pstcd (more or less). This brings up a number pad. At the bottom of this screen press the ABC button, enter the first two letters, then press 123 and enter the numbers, then ABC again for the last two letters. Then enter. I'm doing this from memory, but used it this morning and it's more or less like that! Shout if not clear and I'll repeat the instructions whilst sitting in the car.
  7. Don't forget to unzip the download and transfer the contents to the SD card. From memory there should be two folders and one or two ordinary files in the root directory of the SD card
  8. You must unzip the zipfile and transfer the contents to the SD card. Like facet edge, I just go for a drive on a Sunday morning when the roads are quiet to allow the update to complete. Takes about 40 mins
  9. USB stick will work, formatted to FAT 32. I use an ordinary 32 GB SD card class 10 and formatted to FAT 32. The download is circa 26 GB. Follow the instructions on the portal. If you're using Windows 10 it's pretty straightforward, and there's tips on here if you get stuck.
  10. I'd endorse this. Applying 220 PS though the front wheels is asking a lot of the system and if the roads were damp wheel spin with traction control trying to control it is what happens if you floor the throttle. I've experienced wheel spin in 3rd gear on wet roads. Flooring the throttle from stationary is not to be recommended!
  11. Try this: https://www.carfile.net/buy-your-car/skoda/superb_hatchback/20_tsi_190_laurin___klement_5dr_dsg/90349.html
  12. I think you could get a new one for more or less that price via a broker and with 3.9% PCP and a deposit contribution
  13. I'd endorse everything Penguin17 has said. Note, the 220 only comes with the auto gearbox. I'd also say that diesels used for low mileage, especially low mileage, short journeys can develop problems with all the kit required to remove particulates. I haven't driven a 1.4 150ps petrol Superb but I have driven a manual Kodiaq with the same engine and the performance was entirely adequate; something to consider if you're really worried about fuel costs.
  14. I recall in the summer a particularly irritating tinckle sound to my left when driving along especially on bumpy roads. I was getting my passenger to listen for it and they said it was on their right. Turned out to be the tag on the zip of my sunglasses case in the overhead holder!
  15. Spun the wheels twice today on 1/4 throttle, so I'm with you all!
  16. Interesting......my car has the pushbutton for the front parking sensors in that position. Is there no clue in the manual?
  17. I have always found this company very helpful. They have lists of roof bars (and snow chains) tailored to each vehicle, and if you need to contact them they respond quickly and professionally. https://www.roofbox.co.uk
  18. 6 speed test would be right for your model year and engine.
  19. Early April: 1500 mile round trip from Milton Keynes to Chamonix. out trip in a day and a half with the return trip done in a day with two drivers spelling each other every 2 hours or so. Back seats lowered carrying skis and the collected material for both skiing and a wedding celebration. Still acres of spare space. Kept to UK and French speed limits with overall consumption of about 38mpg, using three tanks of fuel. Unusually large number of roadworks, and the utter tedium of the contraflow on the M20 for Operation Brock. Superb was faultless.....and I still haven't used full throttle!
  20. Of course you will check all the usual things on a used car - is it straight, state of wheels, tyres, is the steering wheel bar horizontal when driving straight ahead, brakes pulling evenly etc etc. Particular things to check for this car assuming you haven't already discovered them from perusing BriSkoda: AdBlue level as well as the amount of fuel, an umbrella in each door and the removable torch in the left side of the load bay
