  1. My car was major serviced 1,100 miles ago and oil warning light came on... found it to be completly empty of oil!!! Had the car for 2k miles before major service hadnt noticeably used any...
  2. I also have this RARB and also used exsisting bolts. BTW if you struggle to bend it into place a ratchet strap really helps.
  3. My local dealer is pristine automotive in Huntington. Independent German car specialists. Very good info given on the phone, once you pay for the initial map you will be registered with apr and any updates they come out with will all be done to your car for free. Sounds like they have great aftercare should any problems arise too.
  4. +1 for apr heard nothing but good things about apr. Mine is booked in with my local dealer on the 29th August.
  5. If im lucky I touch 30mpg usually average 24-27mpg always use super unleaded/the higher octane option if its avialable
  6. Not today but last 3 days. Maxogen itg filter fitted with extended pipe for cold air feed. Covered with fine mesh. Bluespark pro 3 channel box fitted. OZ MSW 86 arrive yesterday. She's getting there. Front splitter and uprated spark plugs in the post will arrive and be fitted by end of the week. Will be getting windows tinted as dark as is legally allowed. Facelift black headlights from monte on my radar, but hard to get a hold of. Have 40mm H&R springs and H&R RARB on the back, have the front springs but getting them fitted by a professional on the 23rd August same time I'm booked in for turbo back custom exhaust with sports cat. APR stage 1 booked for 29th August. After all that is done getting a professional detail as lots of imperfections and spots that bother me. Next year will start work on the interior.
  7. Thanks for all the great info. Have orderd the desno plugs and gapping tool. Will give update when fitted. For now have turned box down to 2/9 no misfire on these settings.
  8. Thanks for all the info guys. Annual milage is probably only 5-6k (i live 4 miles from work) so the spark plugs wearing put quick wont be to much bother for me. I hope haha
  9. I would imagine so... was done at Skoda dealership and I didn't request anything different. Have heard a lot about spark plug issues. I'll have a look bad through the forums and see what uprated ones people recommend. I also remember reading something about regapping to 0.6mm. Maybe that will be my next upgrade. :p
  10. Had a spirited drive home just now. Lost all power high revs in s4... major skoda service dsg upgrade including spark plugs 700 miles ago. Maybe I should turn the box back down.
  11. Mouse mine is the pro 3 connection box so must be a differnce between them.
  12. I noticed mainly the torque increase on 4-9 and turbo seemed to kick in earlier. have just driven a normal drive down b roads to my girlfriends in sport mode on max setting 5-9. I hooked up my OBD2 to my torque app on my phone got a reading of 218.9hp up from 192.6hp max stock reading. Didnt give it full beans today so think could get a higher reading. However like i said i have no idea how accurate a cheap app on my phone is. I Couldnt get a 0-60 in as roads busy so couldnt stop anywhere. Maybe i can on the way home.
  13. I've Left it on map 4 where it was. I started at 1 and ended up turning up to 9. Think ill get my OBD2 elm reader and torque app out soon and do some 0-60 runs on the various settings and compare the times and generally play around with it and see what feels best. Torque app gives a HP reading too, but I'm not entirely confident its very accurate.
  14. Got a long piece of heavy duty flexipipe from work, the heat from the engine is no problem for this stuff. Removed the stock intake housing and used a hacksaw to remove the plastic tabs inside and make the hole big enough to get the piping through. Sat it nice and low where the grill is open. Put some fine metal mesh over the end to stop crap getting in. Secured with cable ties and tidied with some tape. The end result. Bluespark box was easy enough to install just follow instructions requires you to take apart some pipe work for access but nothing major. Having 2.75" turbo back custom exhaust with sports flow cat made on 23rd August and will then probably get a proper remap from APR Manchester a few months after that. New alloys being delivered Monday.
  15. Wont upload pics from my phone will get on the laptop tonight and put them on. ITG fits fine they suggest relocating the battery and running pipe behind headlight. Ive done something a bit differnt. Pics tonight.
  16. Fitted bluespark box and ITG maxogen CAI today what a differnce these mods make. Big thanks to Derek (vRSgone) for giving me a great deal and quick delivery.
  17. I may be interested in some of your goodies have the TMC tuning box or ITG Maxogen sold yet?
  18. can see how far its moved currently.
  19. Hi guys put my H&R springs on the backs all fine but of a ballache doing it alone but easy enough. However have been trying to do drivers side front today and cannot for the life of me seem to get the last inch of the bottom of the shock free from the hub. Have managed to ge the hub loose and tried wiggling/hammering. Other than the hub the only other thing ive taken off is the drop link from ARB. Am i missing something?? It seems like the whole assembly needs to drop more so i can wiggle the shock out. Should i be taking someone else off??? Luckily have tomorrow off work and have run put of energy and patience today.
  20. Thanks for the info everyone. Think i might save up some pennies for a while and take it up to apr once i have all the mechanical stuff out the way. Looking at buying the springs and RARB today. What shocks are prople using with there lowering springs?
  21. Cheers guys, Only done 1k miles in it and haven't noticed oil level drop but will wait a while before doing anything with the engine. got it at 27k been serviced at 11,19,27 but none from Skoda is it worth taking it to get checked over by them anyway? Ally did you have issues with Skoda having the tmc box? I know its easy to take on and off. Can they tell once its been fitted even if removed? I'm looking at getting the extended warranty as looking to spend £1.5-2k on handling and exhaust etc. So dont fancy funding an potential engine swap myself as well
  22. Hi, I Recently picked up a 2011 fab vRS. 28,000 miles. CAVE engine Would like to get some more power out of it and unsure of what to do. A remap? The only place anyway near me (Hertfordshire) that does the 1.4 tsi seems to be AMD Essex however have seen some dodgy reviews for them.... Is it too risky to remap a CAVE engine?? I'm guessing an ecu remap will void the extended warranty which I dont have but am thinking about.. The only other option i have seen is the tmc tuning box. Whilst I have no doubt this makes more power I have concerns about if its any good for the engine. Will be upgrading exhaust/suspension/shocks/brakes/spark plugs/RARB whatever happens. Anyone recommend products? save me searching forums for all eternity. Ie
