Wagster, for your TTS issues, on my side, I finally baught a voice with vocalizer. Then strangely, set Google Google engine as preferred engine and vocalizer as navigation app. Then no issues with Waze. It muted the radio.

Carplay and Android auto is Standard as you will see on any unit. I don't have an iPhone but Android auto works Great great except for the world wide bug where strangely when you are sending messages it works Great but when you want to give an order like a destination, Google doesn't hear you

i will add that if you don't set a sleep time, the unit will stop drawing power as soon as you open the driver door. It cuts off all the power. I set mine to 2hrs sleep so that twhen I go out and in, I don't go trought the whole boot up sequence. One major difference with the factory unit tough, when you stop the car, the factory unit would stay on until you open the driver door. This unit will stay on as long as the matrix screen is powered. Once the screen switches off, bam, the unit will go to sleep. So you can't listen to the radio for a long periode of time with the car turned off. I think it lasts something like 10 minutes.

Did you set the gain to max? I tried mic test but no matter what setting I use, the recording is so far and faint. I tried microphone amplifier and I can get a nice strong sound so the mic doesn't seem to be the issue. But that is just in the app. Once I quit the settings don't stay.

So my cable has arrived pluged it in the harness and now factory usb is working, data and android auto. I hope the seller now provides it to any new customer. Last issue I have to solve is the microphone. Wagster, did you do any extra settings on the mic? When I use the app to test, no matter what gain I use, the sound is so distant and no one hears me on the other side? Thanks I'll try this. For the canbus settings, I didn't notice any missing settings (at least that I use) between simple soft and raise. Finally, do you use the car factory mic or did you go for another option?

So after playing around with the settings, I noticed that simplesoft works better than Raise. Using it, all my parking sensors issues are gone. Next thing to settle will be the mic. The inbuilt one is sooooo crappy. I will try a' external one. Are they any settings for an external mic or just plugging one is enought?

In the car settings menu, you can choose the options frr the individual mode, they won't be straight in the driving mode tiles.

Hi, so for the german matrix language, you must change the language in the car setting menu and not the system setttings. For the drone, you can also check in the car settings if you have anything there. I would just put back the stock unit and deactivate it as I did for my factory bluetooth. Fot the canbus, have you connected the small 2 cable socket on the unit? (I missed that part on my installation and had issues) Frome the iso harness you must have 2 connectors to the unit. Have you selected RAISE in the settings before choosing you car?

Can you guys check the version of your car setting app? Mine is 1.0 and really ugly. I checked mine with FILE MANAGER If you have a higher version, It would be great to provide it. To extract, Long press the app then select backup. The backed up file will be in BACKUPS folder

I found on xda the password for the engineering menu. It is 7890+the hour if time showed in the status bar. So if it is 16h00 then the password is 789016 If it is 03h15 then 789003 Tried and worked The password for usb debugging is john@tw-desktop

The 4GB/64GB supports wired and wireless android auto and apple carplay. You should read the whole tread, and see if you are okay with all that is going on.

Most of us have the 4gb/64gb here so I can't pronounce myself for the other models. I have a friends 2gb sitting around. I juste played around quickly with it to see if it was working and extract some APK. I didn't notice much difference, maybe a little slower. I must wait for him to use it a little longer to have a straight opinion. Also I think only the 4gb model supports wireless Android auto and carplay, the others is wired. Others here also have the 2gb maybe they can give their impressions. The rest will work mostly the same. The only thing I noticed on mine is that the car settings menu is not pretty (but you go there juste once) and my ac mode setting doesn't work ,but I can set it the car settings menu (again you just go there once) Then if your bluetooth is activated, deactivate it with the stock infotainment before removing it. That's all, the reste is just how your taylor it.
