  1. Go for the Uniroyals. , you won't be disappointed.... I have had rainsport 3s and 4s and they have been a good rounded option , no doubt the latest 5s are just as good or am improvement .. They also have nice side wall lettering /numbers that show well with a tyre gel/coating etc etc Hope that helps
  2. It's been a while since I had my Mk 3 and moved to a Merc E class. I am now looking to move back to a Superb. Should never have switched in the first place 😕 Mine his P zeros on and I switched them for Uniroyal Rain Sport 3s ( as they were at the time , they since by superseded by the 5s) but they was noticeably quieter and had a more comfy ride. My wife just replaced her tires on her VW for Hankook Ventus tyres and they are extremely quiet compared to the Bridgestone's that were on it before Not sure if that helps or not
  3. A few weeks ago it froze hard overnight , I went to go and open my car and the handle would not open it At first I assumed the door had frozen shut so gave it another good tug No joy So I got in the passenger side and pulled the latch and the door opened Ever since the driver's door handle has been tempormental and feels like some surfaces are rubbing against each other as it it's rather stiff and just doesn't feel the same as the other door handles anymore This morning , it was -3 same issue the door would not open after I opened it via the door handle (keyless entry) I didn't re try this time , just got in the passenger side , pulled the latch and the door opened I closed the door again and tried the door handle and it still wouldn't open . I then grabbed the door handle and applied upwards pressure to it whilst pulling on it and it then opened Something isnt right , probably my fault when it stuck the first time and broken / dislodged something Gonna have to get it booked in to have it looked at unless anyone has a remedy. fear of it coming off in my hand have been had ..lol Something is definitely a miss and it's hard to describe but it doesn't open on the first go unless you apply a bit of upwards pressure and it does feel like some spring/part is rubbing against something it shouldn't ... Clues anyone ??
  4. Yay they turned up in just 4 days http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/SUPERB-III/Superb-III-beautiful-LED-safety-door-lights-GHOST-ligh So I can see there are four plastic clips holding them in the door But How do I get the old ones out safely.......? Many thanks in advance
  5. Good Evening, I've stumbled across these on offer at SuperSkoda and I think they look great tbh (everyone has their own tastes 😛 ) How would you get power to these ? I take that it would be a door panel off job ? (probably beyond my knowledge) http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/SUPERB-III/Superb-III-luxury-stainless-steel-interior-door-sills-with-BACKLIGHT-original-Skoda-Autoas My L&K ones are really scuffed up and as I've now decided I am not selling my car anymore , I wanna do the little things I've always wanted, just to keep my CAS and OCD in check
  6. So all cards on the table I am thinking of moving my 65 Plate MK3 190SCR DSG L&K on I've looked at loads of cars recently and only the Volvo V90 ticks all the boxes for equipment , safety equipment and space inside (albeit with a smaller but still perfectly useable boot) It's not that I dislike my I still think it's one of the best looking Estates you can buy https://photos.app.goo.gl/7dvnUPyiyivoLCB26 But, its I've lost my mojo with it Recent issues are Broken rear coil (wear and tear or unlucky but annoying) Replacement window switch assembly and now the rear window lock button doesn't work correctly (wondering if replacement parts have warranty) Virtual pedal has stopped working it says "unplugged" on Skoda's diagnostics Keyless ignition button is starting to fail Rear suspension is now squeaking when going over speed bumps and off curbs which is probably bushes , anti roll bars or worst the adaptive dampers . Drivers seat starting to look a bit worst for wear after around 41k on the clock. It's gonna be booked in to get most of these things sorted which are all recent occurrences but its just taken the shine off the olde family bus I am a bit of geek and a bit OCD when it comes to looking after my car and treat it to a good clean every week with the usual triple buckets , drying towels , wheels Woolies and foam cannons. I am no expert but I do at least try to keep it scratch free ..... What have others members done or changed with the Superb which brought back the mojo and rekindled the admiration for their pride and joy all over again?? It still has everything I would want in a car and is super practical ...
