  1. Hello all,im hoping someone may be able to help with this? We collected my wife's new SEL yesterday, and we cant seem to work out how to reset the trip meter after refuelling? It has the digital dashboard, unlike the analogue dash of her previous 2018 SEL. It is also different to the digital dash on my 2021 Superb L&K,so wondered if anyone could shed any light on it? I notice that there isnt currently a trip meter showing on the dash, surely this is an option, and they havent deleted it? Thanks in advance, hopefully its just me having a moment, and its a simple solution!
  2. Some good feedback for the Michelin Cross Climate 2's. Could be a possibility. Good reviews online for them too.
  3. Hi,thanks for your replies. I forgot to mention that I'm on 19" Trinity wheels. Tbh,I'm quite happy with the ride on these,I find it ok,especially with the DCC. It's more the tyre noise that's an issue for me. As someone suggested, I could always turn the radio up(fair comment I suppose😂),but just wondered if anyone was using a tyre that they would recommend for being quiet? You'd think in 2023 every tyre would be nice and quiet, wouldn't you?🤷‍♂️
  4. I know this is a very personal choice thing,as people often want different things from tyres(economy/handling/refinement etc),but was just wondering if anyone has recommendations for a quiet tyre? Im no racing driver, more of a cruiser than anything,so appreciate the refinement of a comfortable, quiet tyre more. I currently have Pirelli P7's,which dont seem overly popular. I cant really say ive ever had any issue with these,as the last pair i had to replace lasted 28k on my previous mk3. Quite happy with the handling/economy/mileage etc, however i do find them to be quite a bit noisier than id like. Does anyone have any suggestions for a comfortable riding, quiet tyre? Thanks in advance!😁
  5. First time ive seen Bentley wheels on a Superb. I like it!
  6. Thanks for your reply. I thought 0w20 was right. Yes I think 0w30 is probably better for the engine long term,so I’ll get them to switch to that when it’s due for service. Cheers.
  7. Hi guys, picked up my new L&K 2.0 TSi 190 last week, and wondering what grade oil is correct for this engine? Am I correct in thinking Longlife IV 0w20 is right? I’ve looked at the handbook, but it doesn’t appear to give the grade. I’m after getting hold of some for topping up. Got plenty of 5w30 LL3 already, having had plenty of VW and Skoda’s in the family for years, but want to make sure I’m topping up with the right grade. Thanks in advance!
  8. Picked my new L&K up on Friday afternoon. Loving it so far. Just need to remember this one uses petrol, not diesel!. If I can work out how to post pictures,I’ll get a photo up! Was tempted to go for the estate, but ended up with a hatch again. Maybe next time though...
  9. Hi guys,I’ve got a Nextbase GW522 in mine, mounted on the passenger side, hidden behind the rear view mirror. It came with the option of adding a rear view module, which just plugs into the side of the camera, thus removing the need to run any cables along the length of the car. Much simpler option in my view. The quality of the footage seems spot on from what I’ve looked at in the Nextbase app,so might be worth a consideration? I used the Nextbase hardwire kit with mine, very easy to install, even for someone who’s never fitted one before(I’ve fitted 3 now, about 30 minutes should be enough). It comes with a piggy back due adapter,so you can just pull the heated rear screen fuse, plug the adapter in,and pop the rear screen fuse back in. Works well for us so far. May be worth a look for others?
  10. Hi guys, just a quick one to add...if you go for the genuine Skoda centre caps, even though they are a bit more expensive, don’t forget that they come with a 2 year parts warranty,so if they do start corroding before 2 years, your supplying dealer should replace them foc under warranty. Just a thought? With regards to the trick of removing the old ones with a phone mount...brilliant idea! Saves a lot of hassle!
  11. Hi all, been a while since posting, but thought I’d best post since I’ve just picked the new car up.... 2021 L&K,Business grey with black leather,19” Trinity anthracite alloys, sunroof and rear wiper. Gone for the 2.0 TSi 190 this time, replacing the 2.0 TDi 150 L&K previously. Only driven it home, but it feels very lively so far,so should be even better once it’s loosened up. Still getting used to the virtual cockpit, was quite happy with the old school dials tbh,but I guess that’s progress! Looking forward to trying the heated steering wheel on Monday morning, and the led headlights promise to be an improvement over the xenon’s if the wife’s Karoq is anything to go by. Very happy so far!
  12. Thanks for your replies. Mid 40’s seems pretty good tbh,I definitely think I could live with that. I’m definitely more of a cruiser, hence the L&K rather than the Sportline!. I’m going to see if I can get a drive in one to try it out. I’m sure I’ll like it anyway,as I love mine. TDi 190 is available for not much more tbh,so is still a possibility, however I do wonder where things will be going with diesels over the next few years,as they seem to be in the firing line at the moment. Will their values start to drop rapidly if they keep getting bad press,or will they start taxing diesel fuel more heavily? I guess only time will tell. Part of me feels that going back to petrol will ‘future proof’ myself to a degree, but who knows?
  13. Hi all, been a while since I posted, but with the possibility of a change looming,I thought it best to consult those in the know! Currently running a 2017 L&K TDi 150 dsg, doing around 9k a year, mostly motorway. Never had any dpf issues or lights etc. Looking into a new 2020/1 L&K ,been offered a sensible price on the 2.0TSi 190 dsg,and was wondering what sort of mpg I could realistically expect ,as I take brochure/website figures with a pinch of salt. I know everyone has their own driving style etc,but I do mainly motorway driving, sitting on cruise at 70ish😉. Just an ask to see what sort of mpg these are doing,as I'm used to around 50mpg average with mine. Thanks in advance guys😁
  14. Another thumbs up for Mitchell Skoda from us! We both have Skoda's,I'm on my 3rd(2 from Mitchell's),and my other half has just bought her second from Mitchell's. All bought from Andy Kelly-can't do enough for you,so we always go back to him. Every time we visit,it's a pleasure, everybody is just so friendly and helpful-we'd never go anywhere else now. Its an hour drive for us,past another Skoda dealer, but after very poor customer service from their sales department on every occasion we have been there,we would never go back there. Mitchell's are the complete opposite,so they will continue to get all of our sales and after sales business. Well done Mitchell Skoda, keep up the good work!
  15. Hi all, Had car in for service yesterday, and while I'm not due for tyres yet,the service report with tread depths on my current tyres always gets me thinking about what I would/should replace them with, when I'm due? Current tyres are the factory fit Pirelli P7's,which I don't really have any issue with, other than being a bit noisy. However,I keep reading about Goodyear Eagle F1's being a quiet tyre,so possibly thinking of these when I'm due? My question is,what sort of mileage are people getting from these before replacement? My Pirelli's are on 17k now, with 5mm up front and 7mm at the back,so not wearing too bad. But if I can get quiet tyres that last well, then that's perfect for me. Any replies much appreciated.
