  1. Like I said you pay your money and take your chance, these in my interior lights have been in since 2022, no flickering or staying on. They are also daylight white and very bright. Kopacek do sell quality stuff though I have to agree, but postage has gone ridiculous now since brexit. When I recenly looked for some replacement bonnet dampers it was cheaper to post to Australia than the UK.
  2. I installed these. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07QJ2GPT4?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_15&th=1 I did buy from Amazon and got lucky, they go out completely. I did have some different ones in my boot lights which stayed on slightly and flattened the battery. Since been changed and all ok now. I have bought LED's from Amazon, sold as Phillips that have been absolute rubbish. It seems you pay your money and take your chance.
  3. You can try here If you want a genuine one. https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-parts/octavia-3/rear%20wiper%20motor.html It is in in the Czech Republic, but when I ordered recently parts arrived in less than a week. They are registered for tax in the UK so no extra charges. Prices are usually cheaper including taking postage into account.
  4. This is pfl octavia.
  5. I bought these. before brexit so not sure what if any additional costs would be. https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/000052110-led-number-plate-lights-25075.html. Then coded myself.
  6. Is this what you are looking for? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224332633300?epid=8042479894&hash=item343b4454d4:g:2t8AAOSwPOlgFCCQ
  7. I have used Megs hot tyre shine in the past, but that is as it says shiny. I now use Gtechniq T1 tyre and trim. It aint cheap, though it does seem to last quite well and doesnt sling. https://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/gtechniq/t1-tyre-n-trim-multi.aspx
  8. I changed my Moll EFB type , to a Varta AGM and it did need coding yes.
  9. I did a few things with the Carista device before getting the OBDEleven, I did the high beam assist, fan speed indication in auto, eyelashes on with DRL's and a couple of others, with no problems at all. All were reversable and can see the changes made by Carista in OBDEleven. By contrast my OBDEleven frequently crashes and the tech support given by them has been poor no solution found. Probably the most reliable for this type of thing, is genuine VCDS.
  10. Had this issue today, got the "change key battery warning", replaced with brand new voltage checked battery and ......................nothing. Left battery out for 15 secs, pressed button with no battery in fitted and led on key flashed, then replaced the new battery that didnt work first time and it is working fine.
  11. Hi, yes you can try this. 1 - Module 09 - Electronic. Code (31347) 2 - Adaptation 3 - Select – Leuchte 16BLK SLB35BLK SL KC9 4 - Sub – Lichtfunktion C 16 5 - Change value to Tagfahrlicht (Daytime Running Light) 6 - Set Dimmwert CD 16 to 127 7 - Select – Leuchte 17TFL R BLK SRB3TFL R BLK SR KC3 8 - Sub – Lichtfunktion C 17 9 - Change value to Tagfahrlicht (Daytime Running Light) 10 - Set Dimmwert CD 17 to 127
  12. Did my Pre fl using OBD11, worked first time for me, the instructions are the same I believe. 1 - Controller 5F - Infotainment 2 - 10 - Adaptations 3 - Summertime Automatic 4 - Stored Value - Europe
  13. I would say looking at the number 5E0035020C, that is a Columbus MIB1.
  14. I've had this a couple of times also, I have switched out the batteries and new one wouldn't work, checked voltage with a multimeter and found sometimes even with a higher voltage and newer battery it still wouldn't work. Mine it would appear is very fussy about the batteries, didn't like the Panasonic ones from Amazon, bought quality branded ones like duracel and been ok since.
  15. I believe this is what you require, most dealers should be able to supply it, you might even find one on Ebay. https://www.theskodashop.co.uk/products/copy-of-spare-wheel-kit-octavia-iii-vrs?_pos=1&_sid=a4aeaafb8&_ss=r
  16. Another good thing about Waze, is that it often warns you of potholes, very useful for those on 19 inch rims and only 34psi.
  17. You could try doing a flap reset, I had this happen at a most awkward moment on the motorway in the rain everything was steaming up. PITA. works for me.
  18. There are different types depending on model, but i think they contain the same items. This is one for the vRS. Doesn't include the wheel. https://www.theskodashop.co.uk/products/skoda-octavia-mark-3-vrs-spare-wheel-tool-kit-5e0093860a?fbclid=IwAR37TmLgAC3hOM0WlEWdBeMnEgiENdtJD61rENT6-Ahb4ZIZYa1RkbDzGfo
  19. Something like Goodyear efficient grip performance might suit your purpose. There are several differnt versions of this tyre though all with different noise levels, so make sure you go for the right one if you choose this. I have run Sava intensa UHP before now and they have been very quiet, but no so quiet on 16 inch wheels. Tyres are very personal and one mans ditchfinder, is anoth mans perfection, you pays your money and takes your chance, don't think you'll go wrong with efficient grips though. https://www.mytyres.co.uk/rshop/tyre/Goodyear/EfficientGrip-Performance/205-55-R16-91V-AO/R-419280.
  20. Just to check on what the forums were saying, I contacted Tayna Batteries which was may battery supplier. This is what they had to say about it. Dear Ian Andrews, Thank you for your enquiry. You would use the Fleece setting, Another tech term for AGM batteries Binary is used for Spiral AGM batteries. Kind regards, Chris
  21. Just done some more research on this Technology setting and most people accross the VW Audi groups are saying that the correct setting for an AGM battery is "Fleece", the cars that came with AGM batteries from the factory are coded as such. According to most, Binary AGM is different than AGM. I have changed mine accordingly.
  22. Just did mine using OBDEleven, in the Gateway section. Only options to change were serial number. which was just 1111111111. I changed this to 1111111112. The manufacturer, for some reason was listed as JCB, when the actual manufacturer was Mol. I changed this to VAO. which I beleive is Varta. Next was the technology, changed from EFB to Binary AGM. Oh and the capacity from 69Ah to 70Ah. That was it. The steering left, steering right, turn off turn on then cleared last remaing code which was stop/start.
  23. Personally I can't fault Autosales Burntwood, had all my servicing done there since buying my Octavia vRS from Marshall down in Oxford. They have been freindly, not pushy, do as I ask regarding washing, I always find the seats covered when returning to car and warranty work I had done with no questions asked. I recently had MOT and their covid protocols were spot on, one way system in place, key went into a small sterile bag and was returned to me without anyone touching it apart from the bag. Because of lock down there is no "while you wait" servicing. I explained that I needed this as I live quite a few miles away. The said they will put me on a list to be contacted when while you wait is back in action.
  24. I am having mine changed tommorow on 13000. Low usage has been detrimental to mine and the rears more so than the fronts have corroded on the inner face. The rear brakes stuck on and they are pulsating through the brake pedal. I am going for Ferodo All round. Discs and pads £500 all in.
  25. It's Rubbish isnt it? A case of fixing something that wasn't broken.
