  1. Go to the source - Skoda Erwin https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz You can pay 7 Euros for access for an hour and just download all the official PDFs.
  2. Is that the little yellow plastic piece in the clutch bleeder valve block? The piece all the GTI guys remove to reduce clutch delay?
  3. Regarding acoustic confirmation - is that the blip sound when you lock and unlock the car? If so, when it's activated isn't it just another option you can then turn on and off via the car's touchscreen? It's in Car - Setup - Opening and Closing I think. As spinifex said, Australian RSs come with it enabled by default. In other words, I believe the app isn't enabling the sound, it's enabling the menu option to enable the sound.
  4. The 'apps' within the app have to be unlocked with credits, either accumulated over time or purchased. Because of that it doesn't seem to log what the apps do. But if you buy the Pro version you can do full adaptations and long coding just like VCDS. That logs the changes that you make and can record full backups. I guess you could send them to the developers, but you'll probably get just as much help by reading the many forum threads about the tweaks themselves.
  5. It might be 5E0857531. I found it on http://realoem.me but you can't link into the site properly. Go to http://www.realoem.me Click Skoda, then click Octavia Select 2016 Select Body (8) Select interior/exterior (it's about 3/4 of the way down the page) The exterior mirror is shown in the diagram. Click the numbers in red to find the part number.
  6. More than half of Skoda Australia's annual sales are the RS, I'd be very surprised if it goes away. They've only just launched the 230 here, albeit a limited run (so the comments of orders being closed weren't quite true). Aussies love their performances cars. As another data point I think we're the second biggest RenaultSport market in the world!
  7. Get OBDEleven then - much cheaper and will do all the tweaks you need.
  8. The only one I've read about is a new one from a US company (Boomba Racing) that has rave reviews: http://www.golfmk7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22824&page=8 There must be others out there, this is just the first one I came across.
  9. I had to change another setting to tell it to not try to use the satnav information - I think it must deliberately limit the feature to countries it's been told it works in. That seems to allow it to start recognising signs in Australia but you lose the satnav's database of speed limits. I ended up turning it all off again. It would be great if you can give it a go to in order to confirm my findings. See my post on vwwatercooled for more info: #13
  10. There is a Backup feature and a History feature in the app which logs all the changes at the long-coding level. It would make sense for the 'app' changes to be logged there too, so you should be able to find out exactly what bytes it changed.
  11. The description in the App Store just says 'your Skoda'. When I tried it the app failed to connect and said that I should get Media Commander activated on my car. Even if it was a Superb only feature, unless it requires extra hardware surely it must be doable with VCDS? Everything else is.
  12. A Mac formatted ExFAT SD card worked on my Columbus MIB2 the last time I tried it, but perhaps it is safer to try extracting in Windows. Do you have access to Windows, perhaps via Bootcamp, VMWare or Virtualbox? I'm surrounded my PCs here, but the only machine that has an SD card reader is a Mac Mini and it doesn't like my card (won't format it) - the iMac at home is fine though.
  13. The portal is offering a new file for my Australian car - HIGH12_P62_MRM_2017. Downloading now...
  14. I set the fusion mode to 'road sign detection' and it now works, but I obviously now only get data from the camera, not the satnav.
  15. I was wondering the same. My newish vRS has hw version 050, sw version 0315. Either they have different a different numbering scheme for Columbus or my system is very old for some reason.
  16. FWIW, a number of owners here in Australia have been told by Skoda Customer services that a 'big update' for Australia is due at the end of November/early December. This was in relation to map updates 'being made easier' for Australian owners. When I took delivery of my car last month I mentioned this to the salesman and he said that whilst he'd not heard of it, it did tally with a date of 25th November that the service manager had written down, or something to that effect.
  17. I've been trying to get this working in Australia but I'm not getting very far. My car was built in April 2016 and is an RS so comes with the Columbus system. I have inferred that the system is MIB2 from some of the slight changes in other parts of the adaptation naming. My car has lane assist fitted as standard. I have tried doing it carefully and then un-doing it 3 times. I've left the car to 'sleep' for 30 minutes, even tried a media system reset (hold the power button). When I 'enable' TSR, I get the message 'No road signs available' in the maxidot. There's a guy on the vwwatercooled.com.au forums that says he got it working on his Scout, and there's also a couple of success stories for some TTs on the ozaudi.com forum, so it would seem it can detect our road signs (at least in Melbourne/Victoria where I am as that's where the Audi owner was from). On the first and most recent attempts I've lost the speed signs in the top right of the satnav screen (they come back eventually). On the second attempt I didn't lose them - weird. I don't get the seemingly common 'limited feature' (or whatever) error message very often, perhaps only once when I enable it. I can't think of anything else to try...
  18. VCDS/OBDEleven shows the CD Import bit ticked on my April 2016 build Australian RS, but CD is still greyed out in the Manage Jukebox->Import screen?
  19. No problems with early clutch wear? 'Some people say' that the manual clutch can't take a tune as well as the DSG clutch.
  20. Any ideas as to what the MIB2 Columbus file might be for AUS/NZ? Currently the most recent file (as of last week) is HIGH12_P58_MRM_2016_2017.zip
