  1. I don't think penguin17 was talking about the inclination of the backrest/squab.
  2. I had the same problem, as I have the seat all the way back and all the way down. When unlocking, the seat would move forwards and upwards. The dealer said I had gone beyond the parameters of the motors!!!! The only way I can stop it from doing this every time I get in, is to turn off 'personalisation' in the settings menu. Well done Skoda/VAG
  3. I ordered mine last August and it turned up in December - four months!
  4. I set the wiper off first, then as it has almost returned to base, I hit the washer and it does get a bit more fluid down the screen. I find the fronts to be good, however.
  5. On my SE Business - with smaller wheels and tyres - they supplied it with Falken tyres, made in Thailand. The slightest hint of a damp surface and there is no grip. They don't exactly inspire confidence. A serious case of cost-cutting, I believe.
  6. Yes, when I first tried my USB flashdrive - which I have used in my last three cars - the tracks were all over the place. Even some tracks on actual albums were all messed up. I did discover that I needed to give them the same album name in order to get them to format properly, and they all appeared in the correct folder/ album. However, I then found that some tracks were out of sequence. A bit more investigation showed that the tracks in question had track numbers assigned to them. I removed all track numbers and everything then appeared in the correct alphabetical order, by artist. As per your screenshot above, it does display the artist name, track name and album, but when choosing 'selection' in order to view all tracks in that folder, it displays the track name, not the artist name, but in alphabetical order of the artists. I'm sure that at one point, it DID show both artist and track name, but has now reverted to just the track name. What I would like to do is show both, if possible. The actual file names are in "artist - track" format...is this what it is using to order them alphabetically, or is it using the metadata?
  7. I've had mine forget and go back to the first track of the first album. I also have have a folder with a huge number of various artist tracks that I have compiled. Although the tracks are listed in alphabetical order of artist, only the track title is displayed. At one point it suddenly started displaying both artist AND title, but now it has gone back to title only. How can I get it to display both artist and title all of the time?
  8. Mine was delivered on 22nd December - no 'mode' button. I recently had a Fabia as a courtesy car. That had a speed limiter, but no cruise control.
  9. Where do I start? It just doesn't suit my driving style and there are so many things I don't like about it. I dislike it so much that I was almost tempted to order an 'S' model, with standard cruise and add some extras to bring the spec up. However, I didn't think I'd be able to live with the 1.6 engine. Apologies for for the thread hi-jack!
  10. Is there a way to make ACC work like standard cruise control? I really do not like it at all.
  11. Our company policy is to have either white or silver. I don't like white, so didn't have much choice!
  12. Not really. The technician said there was nothing wrong with the seat/memory. Apparently, it won't store the position if the seat is all the way back and all the way down, as it has gone beyond the parameters of the motors! The only option is to reposition the seat very time you get in. I have since discovered that you can turn off 'personalisation' in the menus, so it will leave the seat where it is. Not really a solution, but hey!
  13. I did try that, but it made no difference. It seems that it does actually store the seat position in memory - I have since discovered that it just doesn't want to store the position that I want! I have tried to reset the seat position by driving to all extremes and holding the switch in position. I like to drive with the seat all the way back and with the back of the cushion in the lowest position. It will not store this position in memory, but will move the seat forwards slightly and the cushion up slightly when I open the door. I have to set the seat position every time I get in. I have tried setting the memory in various other positions and it works fine. Well it's going in to the garage again tomorrow, so we'll see what happens this time.
  14. Well, I took the car in this morning for a 'while you wait' appointment. I explained the issue to the technician, who said "I don't think it's a fault, you just need to program the remote". OK, how do you do that? He went through the usual routine, locked and unlocked the door and the seat moved to the wrong position again. I mentioned the software issue and he said there wasn't an update available. He said they would need it for a day to investigate, so it's booked in for next Tuesday with a loan car. It took me half an hour to drive the seven miles to the Birmingham dealer. I'm beginning to wish I had gone to Leicester, as it wouldn't have taken much longer and they would have known what they were doing, hopefully!
  15. OK, thanks. Yes, Leicester is a bit far unless I'm going there anyway. There are actually two main dealers in Birmingham. I phoned one of them this morning, part of a large group, and got put through to their central booking office. I don't like that system, as you can't actually speak to anyone at the dealership, and as I was just on hold, I hung up. Phoned the other dealer and booked it in for first thing on Monday, although the woman I spoke to didn't exactly fill me with confidence. In the meantime, I thought I would call in to the first dealer and see if anyone could have a quick look. A technician came out and I explained the issue. He jumped in, pressed loads of buttons, locked and unlocked the car and the seat stayed where it was. I got in, set the seat where I wanted it and he told me I needed to put it in reverse with the ignition on, keep my foot on the brake, set the n/s mirror, then switch off. I got out, locked the door, unlocked it again and the seat stayed where it was - Result! I then went to Halfords to pick something up. When I unlocked the door to get back in, the seat moved!!! Brilliant. :(
  16. Which dealer did you use? I need to get mine sorted, so a dealer with experience of the problem could be useful. My nearest dealers are either Birmingham or Coventry.
  17. Took delivery of my Superb last week and I am having the same problem. Read and re-read the handbook and tried setting the memory, but it never stores the settings.
  18. Hi Having just taken delivery of a Superb III, I've discovered this forum. Having previously had a number of VW Passats, I was on another forum for VAG cars, but the Skoda side seems a bit quiet, hence my search for something more lively. It looks like I've found it! I'm sure I'll be posting a few tech-help questions in the coming days, as I try to get to grips with the new car.
