  1. Coding and adaptation for the next mod is now sorted, can you tell what it is yet?
  2. I have OBDEleven, VCP and ODIS but I use OBDEleven first as it’s easy and on my phone. I’ve only just got VCP to crack these cameras, was borrowed but I think I’ll keep it. I’ll add VCDS when I can get a cheap one.
  3. My iPhone 11 PM and older Plus sized iPhone fits on the OEM Qi charging tray with a case on, but not a bulky case.
  4. Hi, I haven’t, that seems odd, maybe the adhesive is failing? 5Q0937084CG flashed to CQ 0253 S/W. It’s not for the faint of heart and yes you can use any brand, mine was from and Audi but you need the correct dataset to get it to work correctly. That’s how it was on my car, it wouldn’t work without the sensors being fixed but that may not be the case for other cars. You need to add the same RGB values in the LIN and LIN 2 colour lists to do the door strips.
  5. I removed them, easy to do. 5 torx screws on each one.
  6. You’ll still need the memory motor which you won’t have unless you have electric seats with memory.
  7. You need the head unit. The screen is just a screen. The radio HU will need CP removed and features re activated. It’s only the 8 inch screens that work plug and play with the MIB2’s.
  8. If you can’t find anyone close to you I am in North Wales and I can do it if that helps plus any other coding you’d like. If you have a 2020 model car S/S can no longer be disabled but older cars it can be done very easily.
  9. You need to change the long coding from MOST to CAN display in 5F and you will need FL BCM for ambient lighting, it’s not part of the radio package.
  10. Screens don’t have CP, only radio units. This screen is only compatible with the MIB2.5 Columbus.
  11. Yeah, you just pull the radio out and the surround, pop the 3 fusebox tabs and pull the fusebox out. Push the new power cable into the back of it and ground somewhere appropriate.
  12. No. The camera for HBA in attached to the rear view mirror.
  13. It is that simple, just remove the round wheel and swap for a flat one. The buttons are compatible all the way through. A lot of owners with early vRS with the round wheel change for flat bottom and it really is that simple, honest. Adding the buttons is different but the wheel itself is just replace like for like.
  14. Yeah just remove the round one and replace with the flat bottom one, nice and simple
  15. What this means is that the ODIS work and CP has been done but the radio menu options will need coding to your car. I don’t really recommend this is a first time coding job and there are no instructions, it’s a case of scanning the old radio then copying over the relevant parts to the new one (isn’t a complete copy and paste as some stuff will be different). OBDEleven with the PRO pack will do it (you don’t use credits with PRO, that’s only for pre written apps that you should never, ever use!) but VCDS will be better. One wrong move with either can be damaging though so please tread carefully.
  16. Only Columbus MIB2 can be converted to 2.5, not the Amundsen. Amundsen cannot run the 9.2 inch screen. You can run an 8 inch screen plug and play.
  17. I have 5Q4959592B and 5Q4959593B controllers as part of the folding mirror upgrade. The standard ones are 392 and 393 so I don’t know if the memory works on those.
  18. It suits those wheels! Looks great, I do love the Superb SportLine
  19. They were changed as the car had 115k miles on it at the time but only for OEM items.
  20. Yeah, you need the 7 pin motor from the passenger side. Many different VAG part numbers will work, mine is from a Superb 3V and is also used in the Audi A8. I took the wiring loom from the donor Superb mirror but you can get them on AliExpress loose to plumb in yourself. I don’t know if they will work with the 392/393 door controllers or if you need 592/593 ones. Coding is the same as it is to activate it in the first place but you need to tick memory mirror installed as well. I’d link you to an AliExpress one but I have no experience of them and I would image the passenger side ones are LHD so I would be scouring eBay for a donor LH mirror from a Skoda with 15 pins even if it’s missing some parts and you can cannibalise from that. It’s hard to say as it depends on what I can buy the parts in for but I can usually do folding with reverse drop for £400 supply and fit and folding auto dimming with reverse drop for £550 supply and fit.
  21. Yes, you need a 7 pin memory mirror motor pinned into the door controllers and coded to work. I’ve now done it on my car and will be fitting another pair of folding mirrors with reverse drop memory for someone this week.
  22. It’s not impossible but you will need the light units. Multifunction module 4B, possibly higher spec Gateway and BCM if they aren’t ready for LED’s and of course wiring and CP removal/coding for all this. It’s not plug and play.
