Enyaq iV interiors : suite, lounge, loft etc
I think the basic interiors are plain and uninspiring. I'd like to see them in person before a final decision, but I'm thinking the "Lounge" interior with alcantera (or micro suede) is what I'd go for but its bally expensive at £1200! The idea of 'concepts' is a bit Ikea and is marketing BS IMHO. I'd prefer the current situation where you choose a trim level where you like the interior and hope all the toys you want are included. With this new 'concept' approach, I can't see there being many stock cars of suitable specification being available for buyers, so every car will be a factory order - with the associated massive wait. The wait will be exacerbated by ID.4 orders taking up battery supplies, which would make a stock car more attractive but this concept will lead to less stock cars being ordered in by dealers in my opinion.

Time for a change !
@JKW I'd be interested to know who you are leasing from. Current projections look like e-Niro might be the replacement for my Karoq, so I got a quote from WeVee. Thats quite a lot more than my Karoq, so any tips on where to look would be appreciated.

Citigo-e iV Tyre Pressures
Indeed, as our little petrol is great in the snow on the OEM tyres, probably due to low weight and low power.

Citigo-e iV Tyre Pressures
Petrol Citigo are 33F/30R. The electric version is about 300Kg heavier but running around on the same sized tyres, so it makes sense that the tyre pressures need to be higher. Also, the weight is distributed in the car differently to the petrol version, as the motor is lighter than an engine but the batteries taking up the space used by the petrol tank are much heavier - so 36psi all round seems quite reasonable. BTW - where was the sticker?

EV real world range and cost to charge
Really good video which is totally relatable to us in the UK.

Skoda Enyaq
- Ford Mustang Mach - E EV European Debut
TMI- EV sub £30k comparison group tests.
Until Ionity, FastNed and the like become more prevalent here, I agree. I'm also waiting for Model Y but pricing may be a bit too much for me. ID.4 and Enyaq (with heat pump) are also in the frame as these may be more affordable. By rights, none of these belong in this discussion as they are all north of £40k, let alone sub 30K- CITIGOe iV Ambition SE - charging at 7.2kW/hr
Have you heard back?- EV sub £30k comparison group tests.
For resistive heating this is true. A lot of EVs are using heat pumps now that have an efficiency of up to 400% - 1Kw of electric gives 4Kw of heat. I only know the basics of the physics involved, so am taking the manufacturers at their word. Heat pump is standard on ID.3, ID.4 and Jag i-Pace. It is an option on Enyaq. Tesla use heat pumps on Model Y and are due to fit that tech. to Model 3 next year. Heat pumps are likely to get cleverer in the future as big corporations get behind development.- EV sub £30k comparison group tests.
I don't have an EV (yet) so do not have real world experience, but I have considered exactly that scenario. My conclusion is that all of these types of journeys end up with an overnight stay (for me) and 12-16 hours on a 3-pin plug will give a useful boost in range. For example an Enyaq would charge at about 7mph (https://ev-database.uk/car/1279/Skoda-Enyaq-iV-60) on a 3-pin plug so a full overnight charge would add 84-112 miles of range. That and any range left when arriving at destination should see you right to get to a rapid charger. If you are staying at a hotel, book one with a destination charger.- EV sub £30k comparison group tests.
Am I missing something here? If your car mists up, put on the Air Con and it will clear. Damp car - put on the Air Con and it dries out (due to Air Con dehumidifying feature). So most people drive around with Air Con on Auto, so misting up is not a problem. I don't see misting up as an EV vs ICE issue, both types do it and the solution for both is the same - run the Air Con.- Adblue warning message?
I just topped mine up again. It was at "400 miles before no engine start" warning and took 10l container. I have been buying double packs of Greenchem ad-blue from Amazon at £17 for 20l but won't need that much again before the lease is up, so have looked around. You will get ad-blue on almost any forecourt, but beware of any that has been stored for long periods in the sun. Also available in Home Bargains (5l containers), any motor factors, online at EuroCarparts and Screwfix - to name just a few. If you are passing any of those places, get some. However, I doubt you will get a full 10l pack into the tank with 1300 ad-blue range showing.- Citigo driver's seat height compared with UP!
I think it may be to do with the model of Citigo your mum has tried. Our Citigo Monte Carlo has a height adjustable driver's seat and cranked up to the top position it is pretty high, higher than the fixed seat of the showroom model we test drove. I'm not sure which other models have height adjustable seating, but it may be a good idea to check. Or maybe get an UP! instead?- Skoda Enyaq
An 11kw charger needs a 3 phase supply. If you have 3 phase, why not go for a 22kw charger to future proof yourself? The vehicle will limit charge power to what it can handle. According to the above, the Enyaq on board A/C charger is 11kw, so that's the max it will take A/C.- Pram mountain buggy citigo boot
Your photo is upside down, makes it hard to see how it fits.- Skoda Enyaq
Thats what I found. I configured one with the big battery and the same features as my Karoq SEL. It came to £44K and that was without the AWD option as its not available in the configurator yet. The ID. 4 at same spec. is pretty much the same price, so what is Skoda's value proposition?- Skoda Enyaq
@ewlmr are you at all concerned about RWD vs FWD in snow and ice? This is a bit worrying for me with the VAG electric vehicles at the moment.- Skoda Enyaq
Also, Tesla fit heat pumps to Model Y to improve the range and there are rumours these will be fited to the Model 3 in the near future to maintain their lead in the range stakes. Jaguar have always used heat pumps on the I-Pace - they are just more efficient for an EV in temperate climates (most of Europe). I found a couple of threads on Reddit that talk about the increase in efficiency for ID.3 (same MEB platform / same tach) that may be of interest.- Skoda Enyaq
Yes and you'll need one to reach the anything like the advertised range figures as those will be for the most efficient version of the car with the most efficient wheel/tyre combo. The wheel/tyre combo may not be available with the trim level you want. I've yet to see any figures on the effect the heat pump has on range / efficiency.- EV real world range and cost to charge
Don't ask this guy to organise anything important. The charging could have been done so much more efficiently.- Cracking Bridgestone Ecopia EP150
FWIW my Citigo has the same tyres and one of them has exactly the same 'crazing' as shown. Its due an MOT so will see if it affects that. 11K miles on a 2016 Citigo, so four years old.- Citigo Electric
Where is that screenshot from and when is that dated?- Skoda Enyaq
Skoda press release states it is to celebrate the launch of the first purpose built EV (Citigo IV based on ICE car). There will be 1895 founders editions built IIRC, to reflect the year that Skoda was founded. I also think this is a marketing ploy to attract Tesla wannabees, as when a new model is launched by them they always seem to have a Founders Edition.- Skoda Enyaq
Yep, well over £40k to spec to what I would want and thats without the 80x AWD being available. By the time it's fully specced up, its gonna be Tesla money. - Ford Mustang Mach - E EV European Debut
