  1. My keyfob batteries are done, with no warning or reduction in power, in as little as 3 months. For context my Superb Mk3 key fob had 2 batteries in 4 years.
  2. My Superb Mk4 is my fifth car with keyless locking, none have drained the keyfob battery as fast as this one. Also, have you tried not being rude for 5 minutes?
  3. I have found that the battery in my Superb's key fob dies very quickly because the car and key fob are in constant communication (The red light on the key flashes even when it's quite a distance from the car.) I live in a long thin house, with my car parked alongside it I have to store my keys as far away as possible so that they can't communicate with the car. I do this after having the key fob battery die suddenly, with no warning, in as little as 3 months. I have never had this problem with any other car including a MK3 Superb.
  4. Every other car I've had with phone integration could be operated with the steering wheel controls, including my MK3 Superb.
  5. This does seem like a backward step, and a road safety issue too. I just tend not to use the phone in my Superb now while I'm on the move.
  6. My MK3 Superb changed the lights (not LED Matrix, obviously) for driving on the right and the speedometer and so on to metric automatically when I took it to Europe, I think it may have been linked to the sat-nav. I was hoping my MK4 would do the same as I intend to take it abroad at some point.
  7. Just me and a passenger, we did have 2 large suitcases in the boot and there's no spare wheel. My car has done just over 12,000 miles, it did improve slightly as it got more miles on it but dropped about 5mpg on my usual 45 mile commute in November and December, which I'm assuming was due to colder temperatures and winter mix diesel.
  8. I have a 150 TDI SEL estate, earlier this week I drove from the south coast in West Sussex to North Yorkshire in wintry conditions with ambient temperatures between -4C and +3C. I had the ACC set at an indicated 70mph where appropriate and had a couple of roadworks and some congestion to deal with. Starting with a full tank of diesel I did 334 miles and after that the dashboard said my car had 570 miles of range left giving a total of 904 miles on a tank of diesel. (The app said 60.1mpg average). I don't think that's too bad for such a big car and I was just driving normally.
  9. I changed my clock setting to 'Automatic ', which is automatically 12 hours out.
  10. When I turn my stereo on, or restart my car when I've not switched the stereo off when I stopped the engine, the sound comes back on at a very loud level and then settles down to the level I had it set at after about 20 seconds. Does anyone else have this issue? And does anyone know how to stop it?
  11. I once got 920 miles from a tank full in my 150 TDI estate. I usually get about 800 miles from a tank without trying. Obviously I'm going to have to up my game now.
  12. What gareth71 said.
  13. Mine must be getting updates several times a week then.
  14. You might have to go into vehicle settings and in the brakes section toggle Auto Hold on. My Superb keeps turning this function off and I have to reset it. If anyone knows how to stop this happening I'd love to know.
  15. I had a MK3 hatch and now I have a MK4 estate, both 150 TDI in SEL trim. The MK4 is a slightly better drive and has more equipment on it, but the 'assistance' systems are far too sensitive.
  16. I'm staying in a hotel and my Skoda Superb MKIV estate is parked next to a VW Passat latest model ( Chrome grille, I think it's the Elegance trim?) and an Audi A6 Avant. I may be biased but I think my Superb looks the classiest with the most premium design. Thoughts...
  17. I'd like to know how to adjust the sensitivity of the front assist system. My Mk4 gives the collision warning when I'm braking and have plenty of space, it has also performed an emergency stop on a number of occasions when I'm on a roundabout ( and have right of way) when a larger vehicle is waiting to join the roundabout in front of me and on my left.
  18. My photo was the right way up before I posted it?
  19. I have been driving my Mk4 Superb estate with hand controls for a few weeks now. As per my previous comments on this thread I can reach through the steering wheel whilst stationary to select D or R and have just got used to this set up. Doing a 3 point turn in a street not much wider than the Superb is long was a bit of a faff though.
  20. I had to turn Auto hold on after I'd taken delivery of my car, and I'm also having problems with it turning itself off at random.
  21. That worked and stopped Android Auto automatically playing my Spotify through my car stereo. Android Auto is automatically switching on wifi on my phone when I get in my car. Do I need this to use wireless connection to my car? I think the message about my phone disconnecting from my car when I drive into my road is when my phone reconnects to my home wifi.
  22. The seat belt tensioner is very annoying. I've had an operation on my shoulder and the seat belt goes over the scar, pulling it tight suddenly is a distraction I could do without!
  23. I hadn't noticed the hammock due to the estate having the automatic powered luggage cover. 😊
  24. Thanks, Aubrey. I've changed that setting, I'll see if that sorts the issue when I go out in my car later.
  25. I'm having a couple of small issues with Android Auto in my Superb. When I start the infotainment up it automatically links to my phone and starts playing music from my Spotify by default. I prefer to have the DAB radio on and use Android Auto and Spotify on when I choose. Does anyone know how to change this? I also have a message pops up on the infotainment screen saying my phone has been disconnected from Android Auto when I drive into my road. What's that about?
