  1. The car with the strange wipers :p Dont have another picture, because at work. But I know what car.....
  2. Often new discs are coated with a special paint (ATE does that) and that doesnt have to be removed. Just carefully brake it off. Will give some strange noises at first, but that is normal. On my picture you can see the new discs, still with the coating.
  3. A collegae of my dad had one. Loved the sound.
  4. Sorry guys, over at a friends with nothing more than my phone. Cant come up with another picture.....
  5. Officially there are two approved 16" wheels for the VRS to use with winter tyres. The 6.0 x 16 ET50, which can be used with snow chains The 6.5 x 16 ET50, which you are not allowed to use with snow chains. These are the official recommendations and approved sizes from Skoda. (but of course there are also possibilities to use 17" and 18" or even 19" rims with winter tyres. Only thing is, they are not approved to use with snow chains)
  6. Best thing of all, your cars are not only show. But much more GO!
  7. Sounds good! Let the power come :sun:
  8. Power is easier to get, but what about the gearbox? Are there any modifications available, as you already had some troubles with lesser power.
  9. In the eighties you could already feel the difference between SR (up to 180km/h) or HR tyres (up to 210km/h). The SR could handle snow pretty well, the HR not at all. (slope? I didnt see a slope! But got stuck......)
  10. No they wont explode, they will just stall. Throttle input is ruled out if you touch the brake. Unless you take your foot of the throttle and (still applying the brake) go on the throttle again. Stupid fail safe thing, that makes double declutching and feeding the throttle during left braking nearly impossible....
  11. It is the low speedindex that does it, combined with narrow tyres. But still not as good as winters under low temperatures and real winter conditions.
  12. It is the upper connector that causes a little problems when placing the head unit back into place. At least it is in the Roomster. I had a 2007, my 2008 VRS and that already had Fakra. I replaced the Nexus with a MFD²DVD and later a RNS510. They all had Fakra connectors.
  13. I just got the extension with the smb connector today and changed the cable not even an hour ago!
  14. For the DAB take an extension with two female fakra connectors. But try to get a SMB one on the side of the radio. Like this one (it is a short extension, because my 6m extension had a female (antenna side) and male one on the radio side). You will probably need the 90° version (the SMB is 90° and will fit into the radio without any problems. The only difference is the plastic housing of the fakra ones) In the Roomster I did the same conversion (having DAB/BT now) and the straight connector would touch the rear of the radio housing in the car, bending the cable. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161525680398?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT The same seller also has the extension cables, just try fakra gsm (the one you dont need, unless you also get an active cradle with antenna connection), fakra dab, fakra gps. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151415230466?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT As an example. The antenna is a treat! Works very good. I got all the four cables extended and lead them from the back of the roof to the front, behind the head unit.
  15. I thought P6bJOHN would know that! But Camel you were quicker. Iso Rivolta Lele it is.
  16. Okidoki, this should be easy. Not modern but with charisma.
  17. More a combination of cognac and poison.
