  1. Did anyone look at the vid of the Baku track? All new tracks have new safety standards and wide open spaces to brake. How the h*** did they approve driving with over 360 (estimate, the straight is very looooong) through this city?
  2. Meteor grey with canton See #2236
  3. I know that car, but wont solve it. Attached a piccie of the sleeker barockengel. Picture found @wiki
  4. @camelspyyder, you are almost right. It is the 0,01% of unsureity of swedishskoda that should complete the correctness. It is the BMW 502 coupé (the Barockengel is the saloon). So over to you.
  5. The problem is, from the back he will be able to aim on all the others........
  6. OK, did my best and found something. Just to keep this going.
  7. I didnt spill the beans, as I dont have a new picture and dont want to spoil it for the others....
  8. French? Shouldnt it be Italian? Ah, just saw that you are correct!
  9. Our Maxi Dot are the same as the first pic in #16 page 1. That is the pre face lift one. And our Roomsters still have the 1.6 CAN Bus. The later versions (facelift with the 1.2 TSI and 1.6TDI engines) have the 2.0 or at least better compatible to the 2.0 CAN Bus. The Hotlink is the adapter for the RNS510 with navigation displayed in the Maxi Dot. There are however also adapters (mostly around 200 euros) that don't give the information in the Maxi Dot. In the Hotlink you can choose for the Fabia/Roomster, so if everything works as they say, the information should appear in the Maxi Dot. But, as already written, I didnt test it and cannot find any information (yet) if someone has already tested it AND if it will work with the RNS315.
  10. There is a can bus adapter for the VW T5 that converts 1.6 to 2.0 and does give the signals for the maxi dot. It is, however, a bit pricey to test. Prices are around 230€ in Germany. And as our RNS is working fine, except for the maxi dot, I thought that would be a too expensive test module. Just google OEMPlus can bus adapter. The site is in German though. http://oem-plus-webshop.de/epages/346ef957-0b68-487b-90e9-27c6570db097.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/346ef957-0b68-487b-90e9-27c6570db097/Products/RNS510Adapter
  11. MFSW was first fitted in the facelifted Roomster with the newer Dash and Maxi dot. The first series didnt have a MFSW! All they could order was the satellite stalk/ joy stick. Our Roomster had the RNS Cruise (Skoda name, same as the VAG RNS300) fitted as std. It was at first a Skoda Germany car, with almost all the extras. I havent found the CAN Bus adapter, think it should be the simpler (Relais like) part just connected to the 1.6 CAN BUS. As written, all I did is change the head unit and antenna, fitted the microphone in the front ceiling light (as std) and the unit got all the pulses it needed. Speed, time, ignition on/off. It works as a std fitted head unit, except for the navigation in the maxi dot and the satellite remote control.
  12. They will be riding the F1 layout with the chicane before the start/finish straigth. Time scedule is changed for tomorrow, to have the riders more time in practice for the new layout.
  13. I bought a 2008 Roomster tdi for my son, which already had the RNS300 fitted and working (maxi dot as well as the joystick) I have bought a RNS315 DAB and fitted it. Works very well, bluetooth and DAB work perfectly (had the roof antenna switched with the DAB/GPS one from VAG). But it has a downside, as already mentioned, maxi dot doesnt give directions any more and the joystick doesnt work. But for al the extras it was worth it. Navigaiton is quick (maps are on the hard drive), bluetooth and streaming work a treat and DAB is excellent. Also installed the (simple version of the) rearview cam, but havent had a possibility yet to code it (VCDS cannot reach the RNS unit because of the CAN adapter that was already in the car for the RNS300). And not having my Octi anymore, I still wait for someone with a Golf V or Octi to swap the unit to code it for the rear view cam. The cam is already installed and wired. Only the coding of the RNS still has to be altered.
  14. Hunt had cojones in every meaning of the word :p Instead of wisdom, call it experience. Who in the world can drive a car like that with 18? Danny is plain quick, if the team stays allert, he can win. Hamilton is mentally stronger than Nico, always was en will be. That is, imho, the downside of Nico. He cannot cope with mental pressure. Can be quick, no doubt, but misses the final touch (you will have to be born an a$$hole, not try to be one).
  15. Dani did it on ultrasofts though, the mercs are still on supersoft. Young dutchman is doing well too! Vettel struggles with the walls, as do a lot of others. The Toro Rossos directly behind the first 4.
  16. It was the corgy toy, white maximum security car from Captain Scarlet. Didnt have any windows on the side though.
  17. Sport exhaust does help! To not even allow you near the track Very nice car! And a hell of a track car according to the magazines. :p Congrats.
  18. I tested G5 too, it does last longer but isnt as slippery as RainX if put on new. That is why I suggested RainX. It is a little more work, but works for one race perfectly. It just belongs to preparing the car for a wet race
  19. Just prep it with Rain X a couple of times (and everytime before you start) than it will last longer :sun:
  20. Richard, you should use Rain X on your windscreen for rainy races! Our drivers didnt want to leave the stands without it. Gives you a much better view, also on the parts that little windscreen wiper doesnt reach.
  21. Dont forget the newest Dunlop SP RT2 or Goodyear Asy 3. The newest two or already very good predecessors (I like them both, driven on my heavier car. But if I still had my Octi, I would have driven them on the VRS) Also the most quiet tyres in that size. Prices in Germany arent that far of Kumho and the likes. And in my opinion the far superior and more modern tyre!
  22. No, to better the teeth. Misses a U in the word.
  23. OK, forget about the silicone, but with rubber seal I meant something like this: The three on the right in the picture. You just clip it on the bumper part and it will fill the gap.
  24. Black silicone or rubber seal between bodywork and diffusor would tidy the cut a bit up.
