  1. I've been into the dealer and had 6 hours worth of updates but none of the versions changed in the system screen. Service guy was pleasant and said they didn't change any h/w but that might be needed. A week later all the issues started again and my local dealer says (different guy) we need to look again to see what faults has been logged - next available appointment 5 weeks away. Also said that if nothing has been logged and a fault isn't seen in the workshop we'll report no fault found. Seriously! I started a case with Skoda Customer Care (or don't care) and clearly they are well aware of the issues but no admission - standard reply. So frustrating, got to wait 5 weeks for what I reckon will be the standard couldn't find anything. I'm going to start taking pictures as I think this is the only way to get proof.
  2. I had a similar thing and the blue blocks had not been removed during PDI. When I hit a rather large pothole one was broken and the noise got worse! You'll find them under the rubber gaiter. After they were removed I thought the car was smoother and felt more hooked-up. Maybe just in my head but worth checking anyway
  3. Thanks for the feedback, I'll change the temps either side and see what happens.
  4. I had mine in for s/w updates last week and the dealer said it was updating various issues for around 6 hours. My issues were very intermittent so we'll see if it has resolved them, the screen seems to be more responsive tbf. They didn't change any h/w. One thing I noticed, that I thought it would get resolved, is the temperature SYNC still gets reset each time I start the car. Q. Anybody who's had the s/w updates - does your SYNC now work? Not an issue at all but if that hasn't been resolve I'm wondering if the issues I've had may still be there. Cheers
  5. VAGTEC can fit them too, they do them for main dealers and will travel to you I believe. I don't know the price tbh but call I'm sure he'll quote.
  6. I followed your instruction and greased the dampers, so much better. Thanks
  7. Thanks , I'll take a look.
  8. Hi all Anybody else getting an annoying rattle from the passenger side rear from the hatchback? I don't get it all the time (it comes and goes even on the same journey) but it sounds like the hatch isn't closed tightly. I have removed the spare and tool kit and I still get it. To be fair I haven't tried taking the parcel shelf out. I have auto closing and despite it going into the dealer they said fault not found (odd b/c it is pretty loud) Anybody had similar? Cheers
  9. Hi all I wonder if somebody with the factory rearview camera on a MK4 could answer a query for me please? When you active the camera wash, does it spray the rear screen too but without the rear window wiper activating? Thanks
  10. Hi all Is anybody using their onboard wi-fi as a hotspot for a dash cam? I'm interested to know if the hotspot is on all the time, IE: making it useful for checking dash cam view when away etc. Thanks
  11. Hi all My dad (86) has bought a 2007 Fabia CLASSIC HTP and its had its radio changed for a modern Sony DAB radio which is far too complicated for him.
