Hi Does anybody have any pictures of their dashcam install in the new Octavia facelift? I have a blackview DR750 from my previous MK4 which is fairly large and as the rearview mirror plastics/layout are different I can't hide it behind the mirror as I did before. I'm curious to see what others have done. Thanks.

Unless its changed, you used to get one month free after the 12 months expired so don't renew too soon - its not much but its something. Personally I pay for the care connect but not nav updates etc.

Assumning its the same as the pre-fl, It's the same wheel just with the heating incl.

I think it could be a calibration issue as it looks similar to photos I've send of wrongly calibrated cameras. @East_Yorkshire_Retrofits could probably comment. I'm not sure how well this shows the black. I also tinted the reflector strip (please don't tell me about legalities, I'll live with them if there are any)

I took mine off and had them powder coated by my local wheel refurber, £30 each. Personally I think they look better. Taking them off was fiddly but just two torx screws on each side, you need to take the rest of the torx screws across the back off too to get access, you'll see what I mean when you look under. If you can jack up the rear slightly that really helps. In the picture above, the top 2 brackets push into slots in the exhaust surround and the bottom 2 have the screws. From memory it took about 30 mins to take both off.

I used that one on my 21 VRS hatchback as a replacement for the factory one. I have a 2023 now (long story) and bought the same. I bought from amazon in the knowledge I could return if there was an issue.

I use a Bosch A403H on the rear of my hatchback.

It's just a thought but if you can see the cable colours, drop the guys at Eastyorkshireretrofits a line as they do various retrofits related to mirrors, folding, blind spot etc. I think they would know where things go and they are active on here too. Worth a try.

Happened to me too. They are under the rubber gaiter that is behind the spring, you can just make out the gaitor in the second picture above. I think you'd need to be up on a ramp - I'm not sure it would that easy otherwise.
