Hi Folks, Picked up my new Octavia Style Sportline yesterday. Never previously entertained playing with the settings but following lots of 'VCDS' threads on the Forum and wondering what would you consider a worthwhile (necessary even) mod? I read elsewhere on the site that some of the 'assist' options could be enabled through VCDS and I added the Light Assist option as it included a front camera. Any and all advice, suggestions etc appreciated, Cheers, Sean

it arrived.....picked up the new car yesterday. Some early photos outside the dealers.... Ordered 1st Nov - pickup 16th Jan. just under 11 weeks.

Installed the Laser versions which I bought and the difference is amazing - from yellow to bright white. So much so, I also ordered them for the wife’s i10! photo of i10 with OEM on the right and new Osram NB Laser on the left.

Thanks. After some further reviews elsewhere on this site I’ve order Osram Nightbreakers which should do the trick. And checked the levels -set at 0. Cheers

Hi Folks, Daughter has a 15 Citigo and I'd like to upgrade the headlights and wondering what options there are? Straight upgraded bulb, higher output bulb or LED maybe? Any and all advice appreciated. Thanks, Sean

The Sportline spec adds €1950 to the Style cost. I’ve added a “few” extras over and above this as well.....

Although had to stop ticking the boxes at some point. When I bought my 2011 Octavia I had similar “issues” with box ticking. Looking back, I built a Sportline before Skoda thought of it. its a 2.0D/DSG Elegance with some extras: Upgrades: Xenon headlights Dynamic Two Tone sports interior (black / beige) Sports Seats (Grey trim) Heated Seats (front) 17" Alloys Sports Suspension MFSW w/Paddle Shift Alarm Heated / Folding wing mirrors (puddle lights) Heated washer nozzles TCS / ESP (Traction Control) Auto Lights (including Coming Home / Leaving) Auto Wipers Rear Parcel Shelf Storage Door Sill Trim Chrome Exhaust Pipes

If you change anything on the basic Car configurator, then the Sportline will show as “not available”. It’s only available with the Style option. It’s what I’ve ordered with a few extras (posted details elsewhere on the site). Also, that link is old - the current Sportline, in addition to the Style gets: 17” Hawk Sunset tinted windows Black door mirrors Rear lip spoiler Decorative foils Sports steering wheel (D - flat bottomed) LED headlights with dynamic angle control Telescopic headlight washers Ambient interior lighting KESSY (engine start / stop - not entry/full) Fog light with corner function DRIVER fatigue alert system

Octavia 2.0D/DSG Sportline (spec list is posted earlier in this thread topic in case copy didn’t work ). Placed order on 1 Nov and with BW49 should have it mid Jan or so. Prefer to have the car sooner than change the BW at this point. Always hated the wait period but that’s what happens when you add options....

My understanding is if the build is not “frozen” then should be able to amend spec. If frozen, then option is to cancel and have it resubmitted but very likely a new build week will be further out. Having said that, I was speaking with my own dealer earlier today and car is showing as frozen for build week 49 - he is to see if they will add in City Assist at this stage...... not too worried either way but would be nice. Will let you know how flexible “frozen” if at all.....

Have ordered new Octavia with Sportline upgrade (Ireland only option??) which features, as part of the pack, “LED headlights with dynamic angle control” which sounds like they bend the beam much like the Xenons in my current 2011Octavia. Will have to sit until I get the car in Jan before I can confirm though. I know that Skoda offer different specs for Ireland than available in UK but I doubt the underlying technology spec is different - I.e. static for UK but dynamic for Ire..... Mind you, was looking to have Front Assist included in my build but not showing on Configurator. dealer was informed by Skoda (Head Office) that it’s not available due to Irish legislation despite being available for the Citigo and Fabia models in their configurators. And website section for “Assist” features lists it in conjunction with Lane Assist, BS detection etc. Mad!!

Hi, I’m new to all the VCDS discussions but get the gist of it in that it’s used to enable/disable settings within the car software etc. Am I correct in my assumption that the likes of Lane Assist etc are “installed” but not enabled and VCDS is used for this purpose? My new spec’d Octavia Sportline has Auto Light Assist as an option -will this then allow me to have other safety features enabled FOC so to speak? Before the build get locked-in, is there anything else I should be considering? Thanks.. e

Cheers Jed. I appreciate that the market in Ireland is much smaller than UK and others but how hard could it be to add DSG to the lineups. I was seriously considering the Karoq but again, only avail with manual 1.5. I wasn’t interested in the 1.0 but wanted to move to Petrol with all the conversations on diesel. At this stage I’ll worry about my 2.0D in 3 or so years when I trade-in... LOL

Ordered my new Octavia 2.0D/DSG Style with Sportline upgrade (and a few other items) in Quartz Grey. BW49 with expected deliver mid-late Jan ‘18. Will miss my current Octavia (2011 2.0D/DSG Elegance) that ive had from new with no problems - great reliable car. Happy Camper!

Hi folks, I’ve been a long time reader of the forum (lurker!) but thought it about time I formalised myself. Currently driving a 2011 Octavia 2.0D/DSG Elegance (with a host of extras) and waiting for my new FL Octavia due for delivery mid-late Jan (BW49). It’s another 2.0D/DSG with Sportline upgrade (and a few additional upgrades too). Was planning on going with the new 1.5 TSI but Skoda Ireland made the (ridicules/stupid/crazy) decision not to offer it with DSG! Cheers, Sean
