  1. @newbie69 I plan to write a tutorial with much details. Would that help? ๐Ÿ˜ I have to say that some points are not very detailed indeed. Juste a single example: I've spent more thant 45mn to try to understand how to remove this $%ยต@&# pump connector, whereas simply removing the 2 fixing screws of the Haldex control unit, enable you to disconnect the pump in less than 2mn... Not said/written anywhere... ๐Ÿ™„
  2. I did an intensive overhaul yesterday, since I've achieved 45000 km (~28000 mi) / 2.5 years : Engine oil (+ oil filter) change Fuel filter change Cabin filter change Brake fluid change Haldex oil change + Haldex pump strainer cleaning. When I see how dirty the strainer was, the maintenance manual is a complete non sense, not to include strainer cleaning upon oil change! I let you make your own opinion: And here the pump housing: Eeeerk... ๐Ÿคฎ
  3. Hi, Simple question, was the Auto Hold button ON, when you tried to make your hill start with your trailer? It may generate an additional resistance. Possible explanation for stalling... Iยดve modified the setting of the Auto Hold with my VCDS cable to enable restart with less rev. Itโ€™s much smoother now. Though I donโ€™t tow at all, I assume it could help. ๐Ÿค”
  4. These are T10 W5W. These ones are the ideal format: Flat format, that perfectly gets into the lamp housing and only side lighting (no useless led lighting the wrong side of the lamp ๐Ÿ™„) https://www.ledperf.com/led-t10-rotation-a-4-leds-hp-eclairage-de-cote-blanche-w5w-p-437.html These are the same bulbs for footwells, glove box and boot lights.
  5. @Paul37 Great! How did you finally format your SD card?
  6. If it doesnโ€™t work, just format the SD card in NTFS, as others do... ๐Ÿค”
  7. You just need a flat screw driver. As far as I remember, there is a small slot on the smaller side of the ยซ glass ยป. Insert your screw driver in this notch to have a lever and to pull the light. Then remove the complete light. It will be easier to change the bulb.
  8. It worked for me, at least.
  9. @Paul37 Yes, you have to unzip it on aN empty SD card, which must be formated in FAT32. The files mut be unzipped at the root of the SD card. it was also my first update
  10. You can adjust the speed with 1mph step with the ACC lever. Pull towards the lever you to increase the speed demand / press the โ€˜setโ€™ buttom at the end of the lever to decrease the speed demand. No VCDS needed. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  11. I had the same problem with my headlights. My local dealer showed me a technical information document from Skoda Tech support. To them, itโ€™s normal since the headlights are not sealed (as said above). Thus, they didnโ€™t change anything... It globally disappeared on its own. One efficient solution is to drive long enough with lights ON, so that it dries the inside. Another solution is to grab a Tampax from your wife (yes, it may sound strange) and to insert it in the light, to absorb all the humidity. Put it in the evening and let it over the night, to get the best result. Its a tip used by underwater photographers to protect their camera against fog or leakage in their water resistant case for camera. Very efficient.
  12. On this forum ? ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜‰
  13. Update just right finished with 2020/2021 ECE 187 version. Passed at the very first try in 35-45mn. Great!
  14. Hi all, I've changed the setting of the "Auto Hold" today. : 03 Brakes > Security access code = 11966 > 10 - Adaptation Select channel "IDE05055-Hydraulic brake assistant" Change the setting from "Normal" to "Early" / Save It definitely make the car more confortable when making maneuvers to park the car. This nerving sensation that brake pads are stuck when you change from D to R or from R to D has almost gone. It's now almost smooth. Tested and approved (at least for me ๐Ÿ˜). I've also changed the setting for S&S start limit voltage, from 7,6 to 10V. I didn't want to deactivate it, just to make the system less "pervasive"... I'll let you know if this works.
  15. I'm not that sure. Sorry I miss technical automotive vocabulary. I don't understand what "tracking" is. AFAIK, depending on FWD or RWD, front axle settings are different and especially the angle between front wheels seen from above (what I call 'toe angle', sorry, not sure to have found the proper translation). On a RWD, the front wheels trend to "toe out", thus the setting shall be a toe in angle (positive angle = front wheels shall be like this ^ seen from above). On FWD, the front wheels trend to "toe in", thus the setting shall be a toe out angle (negative angle = front wheels shall draw a "V" seen from above). Since the 4x4 version is an AWD (not a full time 4WD), I don't know if the setting shall be different from a FWD... If necessary, have a look to this official workshop document (recommended angles are given from page 233 to 235. https://cardiagn.com/skoda-superb-iii-running-gear-axles-steering/ It seems there is no specifiic recommandation for AWD versions.๐Ÿค”
  16. Wow ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ! Mine (also a TDI190 4x4) are ~25000 km on the clock and the P7 on the front axle are still fine. Obviously there something wrong. Are these front or rear tyres? There are 3 options: - Very strong negative camber - Very strong opening (wheels seen from above draw a "V") - Both simultaneously. Note: If you have the axle adjusted, rather change your tyres before the adjustment is done, otherwise, your new tyres will wear very fast too, since they will have a setting done for worn tyres...
  17. 2 other things to be noticed. Max power for TDI engine incresases by 10 HP to 200 HP and TSI comes back to 280 HP! ๐Ÿ‘
  18. @plantpowered Thanks for the feedback and sharing your own experience. The thing is... That I didnโ€™t even know this kind of kid seats exists. If I did, I would probably had seriously considered this option. Currently I only have one year left, before I can resale one of the 3 Recaro Baby seats, since the older will be soon able to seat in regular car seat. Thus... too late. Additionally, I donโ€™t know what about UK, but in France, I guess people would definitely be skeptical, since no one know about this type of this 3 seater...
  19. Nice cleaning job ! ๐Ÿ‘ Interesting solution this "multimac 3 seater" product. I didn't k now such a thing exist. Is this approved all over the world (e.g. TรœV certified)? However, awfully expensive. I have currently in my Estate version 3 Recaro baby seats on the back seats: 1 Young sport model + 2 Milano ones. Costed me around 600 โ‚ฌ (compared to ~1300ยฃ for the Multimac ๐Ÿ˜ฎ).
  20. Not for MY2020. But for Superb Mk3 at least: https://cardiagn.com/2015-2018-skoda-superb-iii-3v-worshop-manual-owners-manual-wiring/
  21. May be give a look to workshop manuals on cardiagn.com I know there's a wiring diagram manual for Superb Mk3, but It is probably incomplete (only 17p, whereas the Octy 3 one is ~1220 pages ๐Ÿ˜).
  22. Do you have the reference and/or the diameter of this filler cap? I've found 2 possible ones : 1K0 955 455 (53.55mm) / 3Q0 955 455 (51.50mm) Thanks.
