  1. Hi, Thanks for your reply. If rain permits will have a proper look later. Whereabouts in Hants are you? As I could always look to coming to you. Thanks again, Mark.
  2. I have a Mk2 Facelift VRS with the active headlights. Up until yesterday they both did the normal left / right and down / settle to level jig upon starting up. Now the drivers headlight still does the left / right part part but stays pointing down! Is this likely to be a simple ( although expensive ) motor failure for that function or are the front and rear sensors wired so that the 2 headlights are split left and right within the loom that plugs into the sensors? Has anyone had a similar failure and if so what was the cause / remedy? The F & R sensors are in their correct positions, no damage to either and as mentioned the N/S headlight works fine. No warning lights have illuminated on the dash and I'm reluctant to go spending out on a good used unit or new until I have a better idea of whats happened! is there any test that I can do? Easiest way I suppose would be to borrow a headlight to plug in - anyone local to Basingstoke able to help me with that? For the time being I have manually adjusted to headlight up, but I really want to get it all working correctly again. Cheers...
  3. To those of you that own or have owned a 2ltr VRS petrol model... Has your bonnet got the black sound deadening / insulating matt attached ( underneath of course ) ? Mine hasn't and according to my local main stealer it was a factory option which I find a little hard to believe!? So if you could take a look it would be very much appreciated, if mine is missing I want to get one sorted ready for the colder weather. Cheers...
  4. According to the below chart the 245 runs 19's as std!? However the ET offsets will help with wheel decisions... Tire Rim PCD 225/35ZR19 88Y 7.5Jx19 ET51 5x112 2.4 235/35ZR19 89Y 8Jx19 ET47 5x112 2.4 255/30ZR19 91Z 9Jx19 ET38 5x112 2.5
  5. Yes, they will fit - but you may need to run spacers just to lower the offset slightly For the tyre size you're looking to run 7.5 or 8J wide would be better - different makes of tyres will sit differently ( as in how the side wall sits and looks). Chart below shows whats fitted to a 2018 model as std: Trim Production: [2015 .. 2018] Tire Rim PCD 215/60R16 95V 6.5Jx16 ET41 5x112 2.3 / 2.1 215/55ZR17 94W 6.5Jx17 ET41 5x112 2.3 / 2.1 215/55ZR17 94W 7Jx17 ET40 5x112 2.3 / 2.1 235/45ZR18 94W 8Jx18 ET44 5x112 2.5 / 2.3

  10. Cheers Big Lee, I got to try a set on! Fronts were no problem, but the rears stuck out past the arches which i thought looked a bit odd. I could of had the negative camber dialed back in to make it look better for the 'poke' but I decided to stick with 8J 18's in the end. Thanks again, Mark.

  15. Has anyone got any pictures of 19 x 8.5J rims on their MK2 Octavia? ( has to be a MK2 NOT MK3 ) preferably with an offset of around 45mm and 235/35/19 tyres? Side on pics would be good to see what the 'poke' is like mainly at the front. Interested to see what i can get away with without having to do any mods. Mine is lowered around 40 / 45mm 'ish'. Mine is an estate, but I don't think the rears will cause any problems. Thanks in advance...
  16. Thanks JR RS, I stumbled across FOX DUPLEX in Germany and following that managed to find some more info out! so its looking promising Is that's yours in the picture up on the lift? Thanks again, Mark.
  17. As per title, is this a possible conversion that can be done on a MK2 Estate? I'd want the drivers side to also be live! non of this dummy stuff!! Went to West Meon meet last night and left with some possible mod ideas
