Living With A Sportline Plus 272 Hatch
One of the less obvious differences between a Sportline and the better equipped Sportline Plus are the heated seats, blind spot detection which is very useful if you spend as much time as I do on a motorway and the Dynamic Progressive Steering which makes it feel very sporty for such a large vehicle. All the little extra options on the Sportline Plus really are worthwhile and make a huge difference in day to day driving so don't try and save a £1,000 when buying second hand and go for the better Plus model.

10 LITRES OF DRAGON GREEN PAINT, sorry for shouting but I know you like that colour.

Standard spec for superb models
As Sasha alludes to better to concentrate on 67 plate and later as these should have the more up to date screens fitted in the summer re-tooling at the factory during 2017 known as Superb Mk3.5. If your budget allows aim for SEL or L & K models.

Standard spec for superb models
There are 3 basic info screens available. The most basic had physical buttons on either side of the screen. Early ones without sat nav had 3 buttons either side and if sat nav was an option they had 4 buttons either side. The screen size went from 6.3" (I think) to 8" which had just 2 knobs rather than buttons and the top of the range Columbus with no buttons or knobs just a touchscreen which measures 9.2" was expensive as an option at over £1,000 and was only really standard on L & K models but later fitted to Sportline Plus models such as my 2019 272 hatch. Best to check out the screen shots for confirmation as to what is fitted as my 2016 Superb SE I paid an extra £650 for sat nav which was not standard on that model then. Welcome to Briskoda BTW.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
We camped in the mountains can't remember the name of the site but it was one of the best views to wake up to from any site I've stayed at. Magical scenery to be sure.

Chatting with a container driver who is off to Cornwall soon with his family in a 1991 Diesel Land Rover and he told me last year over 850 mile round trip to the same part of the country it used nearly £300 of fuel. Compare that to the Superb's last tank which cost £64.86 used less than 56 litres of petrol yet covered 574 miles.

Wicklow is a beautiful part of Eire for those who have not done a 3 week camping and fishing trip to that part of the country like myself. Keep away from that pillar with your mirror.

Too many fundamental problems despite the limited run of 25 to justify the crazy price.

Disc brakes, time for a change.
The 280 like the 272 shares it's discs with the MK7 Golf R so you have vented 340mm front and vented 310mm rear discs.

Calculated that with just 6 day shifts and 9 night shifts (using the Karoq for those) before our next holiday may not need to put any fuel in the Superb until the middle of November so it will only be driven some 320 miles in the next 6 weeks.

Perhaps they have a problem with his recent choice in tee shirt messages. Less politics and more sport might be a good idea .😉

Born in Leicester and proud to see the Football Team punching hard at the top of the Premier League with a stunning 5-2 victory at the Etihad Stadium. Man City home record before this game was won 10 drawn 1 so a nice surprise for Leicester City fans everywhere. Well done to Jamie Vardy the fastest 33 year old striker probably in World Football on his hat-trick and vastly under-rated despite his impressive goal scoring record.

I don't mind the coach transfer TBH this time it will be in the dark as we should arrive just before midnight local time and will go straight to bed after we pass the temperature check etc on arrival. Not by much.........

Where do we start with the Russian GP summary. Shocking stewards giving Lewis a penalty and more points on his race licence. He collected 15 points for 3rd and now has 10 points (penalties) so another 2 points awarded by the stewards would give him 12 and an automatic race ban, just what F1 fans want.......not. Bottas gifted his 9th race win and only 81 behind his team leader. Glad I'm not allowed in the Mercedes team de-brief.

With only 15bhp more than my Superb not surprised to see it slower to 60 and 100mph also.

Might this be the best (worst) VRS TFSI dyno ever? Ideas for solutions?
What fuel do you use? Even on basic 95 octane it should be making 217bhp and quite a bit more on 99 octane Tesco Momentum. Torque is good though my 2017 Vrs245 running Shell V-Power produced 400nm standard at 2,600rpm, stage 1 map 467nm and stage 2 map 517nm for example.

Checked in settings today when the first oil change is due and computer said in 112 days or 3,700 miles which will be either January 2021 or around 17,500 miles whichever comes first. Find out then how the Michelin's are doing but not too bothered as I have 4 ready to go on the car already in the garage.

Yeah that's why I drive so slowly wife has to push me round in a wheel barrow. Bit scary when we go down a steep hill and she lets me coast with no ABS.

The speed limiter when she is in the passenger seat is a quick right arm punch which normally gets me to slow down and obey the onboard limiter (wife).
