  1. Just been playing finger pointing wars with the dealer and Skoda Customer Care about who’s supposed to be arranging a ‘loaner’. Customer Care read the riot act to the dealer who’s now supposed to be providing something. The saga continues...
  2. Car is now with dealer, stalled twice on the way there. Hopefully get it fixed sometime next week. Just have to chase what’s happening about a loaner now. Love the way none of the bits of assist, customer support and dealers never talk to each other.
  3. Just let fly at dealer principal about the poor customer service, “leave car with us” Amazing how potentially losing business focuses their mind.
  4. Skoda Assist came out “too many faults needs to go to dealer” Dealer I’m too busy don’t want it. Try Skoda customer services they say get it recovered by assist. Assist says no. Ok Skoda thanks I’ll cancel my new Skoda Kodiaq order then and go elsewhere. I’ve had about enough of this “not my problem mate” attitude.
  5. Luck didn’t last ‘stop start system error’ has returned, followed by the emission light and a vibration via the transmission. Skoda roadside assistance returns tomorrow 😤
  6. Ah but nobody beats Vettel at throwing his toys out of the pram, though Max gets close.
  7. Skoda sent road side assistance to investigate it, they diagnosed a faulty oil pressure relief valve and replaced it. All seems Ok now.
  8. It was built in Nov 2017 and has done 14,700 miles.
  9. Our 1.4 petrol Kodiaq started coming up with stop start errors and then the EPC light. Sometimes it’s accompanied by the engine light but more often it’s just EPC, When it occurs there’s often a lot of vibration in the transmission which comes and goes. Skoda are sending tech to look at it tomorrow. Has Anyone else experience this? I’ve seen a software mod that mentioned this on the octavia forum, but is this relevant? As the car falls within the build dates mentioned. Does anyone have an idea what’s the issue?
  10. There is some talk that the Enyaq interior look will appear in the next Kodiaq update, which might mean the phone charger will re-appear.
  11. A lot depends on whether the P/ex is going off to auction or into dealers stock, plus the attitude of the sales person. We are replacing one of our Kodiaq’s with a new one and the dealer has promised an additional umbrella. You’ll also find that the net in the passenger front footwell has gone and the lights on the doors edges when you open them have now become reflectors.
  12. I’ve seen this sort of thing with dash cams set to record twenty four seven and the car only doing short runs or only a few long runs per month. If you have a dash cam fitted look in its settings and set it up for recording only when the car is in motion and see if the battery issue gets better. If you want a dash cam to record twenty four seven it really needs a camera battery installed, if your doing short runs.
  13. Went outline to upload the latest speed camera database, using the upload POI option and found it’s gone! The boxes in Skoda Connect used to have upload as an option in the news and POI box, now it’s just news.
  14. This biggest issue is the idiot factor cyclists who seem to think that no rules apply to them. I never see this gladiator style stupidity from serious cyclists, horse riders etc. The bad news is that the idiot factor seem to be multiplying.
  15. Took car in to dealer yesterday and he’s updated the software for about ten modules according to the work report. I think a lot where not anything to do with the problem, but a case of let’s bring everything up to the latest revision. Columbus seems faster than before and so far is behaving. Fingers crossed.
  16. Glad it got sorted hopefully
  17. I had this happen with a play 1 it refused to be seen after a Sonos app update, contacted Sonos and they suggested a ‘hard reset’ which cured it. Unplug the Sonos speaker from the outlet. Hold down the Play/Pause button while plugging the speaker back into the outlet. Don't take your finger off that button. After a few seconds it will start flashing amber and white. Once the reset is complete, the light will flash green. You’ll then be able to setup it up the same as a new speaker.
  18. My 2018 kodiaq 2.0 SL Columbus has just started coming up with “SOS inactive contact workshop” in the driver display between the Speedometer and Rev counters. When it happens the Columbus system reboots. Everything works fine again. Then the whole cycle starts repeating at random intervals. Its booked in with dealer next Thursday. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I wish this trend of using BBQ grills for car fronts would go away. They just make the car look like a grinning idiot.
  20. Our Hive thermostat was a pain to setup and get working correctly. Its integration with Amazon Alexa also needs work. They regularly change the commands, but don’t tell anyone about the changes. My biggest gripe is there so called help desk they are totally useless. The answer to all questions is “change the battery’s”. I’d also avoid there external security cameras. You can just lift them off the magnetic mount!
  21. The good look solidity visibility space storage radio/sat nav engines comfort surprised at off road capability The bad Fit of trim around windows plus the way it attracts green mould. Squeaking interior door handles Door protectors (forever playing up) Needs Better Front seats, seat squab doesn’t extend far enough forward. Poor quality boot carpet. Over enthusiastic radar proximity warnings The ugly Removing most 5 seat versions Removing the warning door lights Removing one of the umbrellas in the doors
  22. Reminds of the joke about Vettel going to the team doctor about a spot on his rear end and loud amounts of wind that made an odd noise. The doctor examined him carefully and took samples of the spot for testing. The results when they came back said “apscess make the farts go Honda”
  23. Typical cyclist give me everything, I don’t want to pay for anything, I’ll never get out of your way on a footpath, never say thanks if you let me go first and wave v signs if I try to point out that your about to hit a pothole. Cyclists need to comprehend nothing comes for free, get some manners and adopt some road sense, stop leaving gates open on farm tracks, realise red lights apply to you to and stop going the wrong way up one way streets. Of course you never do that. Because your perfect, but I’ve rarely seen any of the perfect lot, just the nutters. ps yes I have had enough of the Lycra nutters today forcing me off footpaths. Plus the smell of the cyclist guy that fell in a pile of horse poop today was certainly polluting 😊
  24. That's just designed to confuse. I just like the way cyclists get all this whilst paying nothing to use the road..
