  1. I've had my car key'd twice and one of the time I know it happened at work so I ALWAYS use two spaces. some people complain so I ask them to pay for the 10" long scratch on my bonnet!
  2. I saw a blue vRS in Prague last year but on closer inspection although it was a vRS it only had the standard vRS half cream seats and not leather. TBH it looked like a std vRS but in the same colour blue.
  3. I say 17's so long as you change the centre caps for skoda or VRS badges
  4. Mine looked the spit of that chrisw_vrs untill 2 weeks ago when I washed it :( didn't see this threasd untill today but if you ask me I think the red wana-be rally car has won it!
  5. I'm not sure of the over all cost but mintex seem to be popular at the moment and aren't that expensive either.
  6. I've heard they do provide better breaking once heated but can be a bit of a worry first thing in the morning. Personally I'd get mintex ones for the rear and save your cash for larger 312mm discs and calipers up front.
  7. Arite Baker21, would it be possible to list what items come in the package and if there is anything else you'd recommend to purchase along with it?
  8. Baker21 - is this something that comes with the group buy or can I add it to the list? Also I'm still none the wiser on what "claying" is :S
  9. Would be intrested in a group buy as I'm fed up getting marks on my car from using a 5 year old hozzlelock brush lol :(
  10. I've seen another SE being broken and they wanted £1000 just for the seats!!! OMG!
  11. So after reviewing this can anyone recommend a good wash it your self starter kit for around £50?
  12. Claying? Whats that? From the looks of it it's brake dust as I gave the wheels a good spray with some alloy cleaner and it didn't really budge it that much. Think over the course of next week I'll remove the wheels and give them a proper good clean. Can anyone recommend a good protection agent?
  13. I have an 07 Fabia vRS SE which at the time I stupidly paid the extra for the car care effort from horners. Now 18 months down the line and I've noticed I'm getting little black speckles on my alloys that wont budge for love nor money! I was told at the time that this car care package (can't remember the name) covered the alloys and I wouldn't get it. Now I have 2 questions, 1, Was I lied to about the car care being able to protect the alloys (not really much I can do if I wasn't as horners are now belly up). 2, What is a good alloy wheel cleaner to remove these speckles?
  14. looking at the website mentioned above they seem to squeeze in ok.
  15. it seems alot of people have had their water pumps replaced is it a common thing to fail?
  16. The upgrade kit thats on VRStu's site is deff going on my shopping list
  17. Had this problem a few months back, as many people have said just get some hulk strength and pull it hard!
  18. I'll agree with what Tom_vRS has said. interior and front looks like a VRS, just the rear bumper is different.
  19. Though it might be carbon fibre but doubt it. Looks like they could have had a bump at some point and as Leodhasach has mentioned couldn't find one at a scrappy
  20. Many thanks for the advice. I'm going to find out today how much my local tyre garage would charge for fitting a new set.
  21. Why can't doctors drowned these people at birth?!?!
  22. Hmmm good spot however I'm going to ask around a few local garages as I'm sure I could get them fitted pretty cheap. How have you found the Toyo's to be? Are they hard wearing?
  23. I'm looking at new tyres for my Fabia vRS SE and have thought about going for the toyo proxes T1-R's however I want to avoid getting a set that my car will burn through within 10k. Heres the question. On Tyres 40% Cheaper than leading tyres depots, free mobile tyre fitting they sell them at £92.20 a corner, Tyresite have them at around £70 while black circles sell them for £57.25 a corner. Are these the same tyers? Both have a speed rating of W and the normal size for the vRS (205/45/16). etyres - Product Detail Tyre information http://www.tyresite.com/product.asp?numRecordPosition=10&P_ID=8&strPageHistory=&strKeywords=&SearchFor=&PT_ID=18
  24. It is a complete head ache just to check the levels.... :( Oh well. Cheers.
  25. Recently my father had to top up the power steering fluid on my mother Fabia TDi. Has anyone seen the location of this sump? It's located under the battery which ment he had to remove the lot just to access it. This is the same for my vRS. Is there an easier way to accessing the sump or do people "ignore" this monthly check due to the hassle?
