  1. Now sold on a different forum.
  2. If you are looking for some 18" Wheels I have a full set for sale in the Wheels and Tyres for sale on the Forum.
  3. When driving in traffic, if you are approaching the car in front quite quickly then you can get the red alert on the instrument cluster and a warning sound followed by braking.
  4. The system can trigger unexpectedly and can be quite sensitive. Two examples from my own experience / one annoying and one superb. As I exit my driveway, the path dips toward the road causing the front of the Car to drop. At any speed over a few mph it will see the road as a danger and Brake. Last year I was waiting at a Mini Roundabout for an opportunity to go straight across. There was car crossing from my right and a car waiting on the road from the left. The car on the right passed me and there was no further traffic so I looked over at the car on the other side. It started to move , there were no indicators to show that it was turning right so I assumed that it was going straight on. So I started to slowly move straight ahead. Then the Car suddenly did a u turn and crossed in front of my Car. The autonomous brake sensed it and slammed on the anchors and we stopped dead. There was no contact between the cars but it was close. The Car in front then shot off down the road. All caught on my Dashcam. I spoke to a Road Traffic Officer some days later and he said as described it was a 'Baiting' technique for crash for cash , he said that if it wasn't for the fact that I was going so slow (4mph on the dashcam) and the Braking that I would be involved in an accident that would have been deemed to be my fault. Automatic Emergency Braking does have its uses.
  5. Sorry, I thought it was no there. Looking to get £450.00
  6. Set of 4 Skoda Diamond Cut Braga Wheels and Tyres from 2018 Karoq. The wheels are in generally very good condition for the age of Car. I have shown one rim that has a small area of kerbing but that is about the level of any damage. The Tyres are 2 x Bridgestone Turanza with 5/6 mm of Tread remaining and 2 x Hiscend Dynamo with 5mm of Tread remaining. I found a nail in one of the Bridgesone Tyres when removed from the Car but had it legally repaired and left the plug in to show where it was. Tyre hadn't gone down so not run flat. They are for sale because I bought a different set of wheels and had them Powder Coated. Due to medical disablement I am unable to lift heavy weights so would be unable to arrange packing for Courier. Collection from M33 would be preferable but could posssibly meet within 50 miles of my address in South West Manchester. Looking to get £450.00
  7. Hi, My 2019 Karoq has the standard 18" wheels with a tyre size of 215/50/18. On the 4x4 variant, exactly the same wheel has 225/50/18 Tyres. Could fitting this larger size offer benefits in wheel protection, Road Holding, Consumption (fewer rotations per mile). Would it affect Insurance or anything else you could think of. Thanks.

  9. I have a Columbus Head Unit in my Karoq 2018 reg. I think it is the 2.5 high maps . Can the Inrix Traffic Data that you mentioned be got with a VCDS coding change, and if so what needs changing. Thank you.
  10. Hi, I have upgraded the Amundsen in my 2019 Karoq to the Columbus just to get a bigger screen .The Amundsen Head Unit and supporting Media Control Unit is now available for sale. This unit allows Android and Apple connectivity through Bluetooth and with a suitable USB through cable connection. It is capable of Internet connection but would possibly need an additional aerial connection. The Control Box has the original SatNav data card which has been updated to the latest maps and has the addition of speed camera data as personal POI. The unit would also need the component protection removing. I bought the Columbus H/U and Box and had them fitted and coded by VW Retrofits in Redditch and it works and looks great. If you have any interest in this, please PM me. Keith
  11. I am looking to upgrade the Speakers for my 2018 Karoq with Columbus Head Unit. I understand that they are 165mm Speakers with separate tweeters, what I don't know is what impedance they should be and if I will need any spacers or other fitting accessories. I will start with just the fronts and see how it sounds before adding to the rears. Any info or suggestions welcomed. Thank you, Keith
  12. I have 4 x 18" Silver Braga wheels for sale. Removed from my 32000 mile Karoq. Selling as I have obtained a set of Black wheels , Condition generally good although 1 wheel has some kerbing which I hope can be seen in the photos. No Tyres as transferred to my new wheels. Will be complete with new set of wheel centres. Must be collected from Sale, M33 3LR .South Manchester. £500.00 the set.
  13. You should be able to find a double DIN Unit with a fascia adapter plate to fit. If you are anywhere near a car audio shop try there rather than Halfords. Audio Tech Direct have Skoda aftermarket Android radios on their website .
  14. 2018 Karoq. Current wheel size 18" x 7J x 45 offset. Tyre size 215/55/18. I have been offered a set of 18 x 8J x 45 offset Wheels with 235/ 50 / 18" with nearly new tyres at a really good price. But will they fit and look ok. Keith
  15. I think that you need to go to settings to change this. May say Low,Medium or high.
  16. I have an Aguri DX4000 which has speed camera warnings in addition to the usual facilities. very pleased with it. Only available from the Aguri website. More models available.
  17. Thanks for reply. I did phone him to ask the question but apparently nobody had ever asked before and he didn't know the answer. Is there any way that I could check to see if there is the additional antenna and wiring that would be needed . If it is not already in place what would I need to get to complete the job. I presume that the antenna would locate in a socket on the rear of the Multimedia group. Where on the car does it go ?.Does it have a name or a part number or is it the same as the other antenna. ?
  18. I can't believe that with all of the knowledge that this Forum has that this question remains unanswered.
  19. Hi, I upgraded my Amundsen Head Unit to a Columbus and had the job done professionally. Parts used were H/U 3V019606D and The Multimedia Unit 565035021E. All works well and it looks great BUT has anyone ever got the SIM card facility to work. If so, how do I do it. Keith
  20. Hi, I recently bought a Harmon Multimedia Unit 565035012E and a 9.2" Columbus Head Unit which I had installed by Retrofits Redditch. It works really well and I like the look of the dashpanel much better than the Amundsen it replaced. The only facility which seems absent is the SIM Card capability. I think that in order to get this there may be some additional Antenna connection required. Can anyone advise me as to what would be needed . I was using an LTEStick to use Skoda Connect and I still have about 9 months left on the contract so would like to use it again if possible. The USB is still operational for Android Auto so if that could be a gateway to Skoda Connect that would be great. Advice welcomed. Thank you, Keith
  21. Hi, https://www.radiodns.uk/logos For my Columbus HU I downloaded the link above which gives you the option of 3 sizes of Logos for DAB stations. I selected the 128x128 format and downloaded the file. opened the file and I then extracted just the ones that I wanted for the number of presets that are available (15) to a file marked Logos on to the Map data Card. Whe I put that into the Multimedia unit ,it uploaded them. Using the inbuilt program for Logos I then allocated the apprpriate logo to the station. Result 15 nice square `logos showing station.
  22. I have looked at the various Multimedia units available on line and most of the pictures on ebay show them with the cables cut off. I can't find any diagram that shows what each cable actually does. Is there anything published anywhere. I have for my project already bought a Columbus Screen and am in the process of buying an appropriate Multimedia unit and I presume that the colour codes of the cables is the same between units. I have been told that the cable to the back of the screen needs to be trimmed to fit the socket. I may have also found someone who can do the fitting and coding but am awaiting confirmation. Is the a definitive list of what coding alterations are necessary that I can provide him with. Any help gratefully received. Keith
  23. Thank you for that valuable information, do you by any chance have the identification number for the correct glovebox unit. I know where I can get a correct screen from .
  24. I am aware of that but will the cables from the glovebox unit click into the Columbus Screen and will it work. Hope somebody knows.
  25. After failing to find any aftermarket Head Units guaranteed to work factory options, I had a thought. I believe that the Columbus Head Unit was an option if you wanted to upgrade from an Amundsen. I have a 2018 Karoq with the MIB 2 High system . Is it as simple as buying a 9.2" Screen unit and swapping over. (are the connections the same ?) Or is it a case of buying the radio glovebox unit as well. Please advise. Keith
