  1. The vRS when its hanging it's ****-end out looked like mine doing the same this morning... :eek: Glad it held on!
  2. Well, i began today - Im doing it all DIY - see how it pans out before i resort to a Pro... If i have to! Removing and disassembling the Grille was extremely easy - thank to Stu's Octavia Site Anyway, after some GREAT fun trying to get the Skoda badge off, i began sanding the Chrome - expecting it to be a bitch - it was. After an hour, i had only managed the top of the grille - but noticed the plating had worn through along the edge after my efforts, managed to flake a part of the plating up - i just went to flatten it and it lifted, so i started to peel it off... 2 1/2 hours later, its NEARLY all off, gave up cos i was getting bored - still gotta finish, but it will be easier to prep, so should make it easier to do the paintwork though How it stands now; Hopefully finish the chrome peeling tomorrow night, and also the sanding down/flattening - if the weather holds out, it should all be done proper job by end of the Weekend
  3. Yep, thats a Mate's V6 stripped out Hatchback - And it's not a V-Reg Vectra SXi :P
  4. I've seen that a few times now - its smart - still running the 4x4 gear IIRC? :confused:

  6. I like the side vents of it, just not the centre piece. Pity they dont do vents that are comaptible with the OE centre... :(
  7. Awesome Everyone keeps blabbing on about whamming an LET into it, to go with the looks, but that would be too much to go wrong IMO, a V6 would be much better - solid and reliable, with one of the best soundtracks available... Heck of a lot cheaper too, and my F20 box would make it damn fun
  8. This pic? :confused: If so, that Vectra is a Black GSi - it was the Guy who i bought the Cage froms Car at the time...
  9. mmmm V6 - that was somethign i was considering doing to mine this year, but migth wait til winter... Were you a Cavweb user per chance?
  10. Wicked, lights are close enough too - kinda thinking of the look below, but yours are almost there; Looks mean as fook like that though
  11. You possibly have seen it elsewhere - its on a lot of the Vauxhall Forums, and a couple of Generic ones (i think) It's sporting the Low Output 2.0 16v (X20XEV) - RR'd at a shade under 140bhp with 150lb/ft - it's enough I am having fun with it, will be good to get it back on the road - havent used it since just before christmas
  12. Here is my Vauxhall Cavalier Project It used to be my daily car, until i completed my apprenticeship and got the new job, and company car... So a couple of pics of when i got it, and then how i got it and left it for a year Bought like; Got fed up of the Snowplough very quickly, so turned it into a Cavalier Turbo Replica, and loved it that way; Then, once the company car was acquired, i decided to turn it into a Track Styled car; This was where i left it, until recently, decided to get it ready for this years show season, so have almost finished Trim Stripping/Interior Painting, new Seats/Harnesses; Now i just have some Mechanical issues to deal with, then re-insure/tax... Cheers for looking
  13. Okie doke - apologies for them being in a rusty ****e box Cavalier... Subframe Adaptors were used, and i have no pics of them atall - don't know whats available for the Octavia The Harness mounts are as follows Rears; Seat Belt Receiver Mounts Outer Sides; Lower Seatbelt Mounts Inner Sides; Seat Belt Receiver Mounts The bolts for the 3-Points used could be replaced with Eyebolts, which means the standard Belts can be left fitted using the eyebolts to hold them in place, and you could then use Clip In harnesses
  14. I have recently fitted bucket seats... But, not in an Octavia Harness mounting SHOULD be very similar, no matter what car though if you want pics, i'll slap 'em up....
  15. Changed my mind! Front end, Angled, from the deck...
  16. Gave it a fair clean today - then went for a few photos with my Cousin's RS Turbo... Heres the pics of mine from this evening (also trying new angles out, ie up on a 6ft wall, and on the deck...);
  17. I'd like my Headlights smoked in this pic if possible - enough to look as if it were OE, but with tinted indicators - the bowls of the inner 2 lights can remain chrome, and the middle bulb, but the rest smoked/black please... - wanna see if Skoda should have done dark lights like you see on the Focus ST, Vectra SRi etc etc I'd like them looking as smoked as the Drivers Foglight appears to be... If you do that well enough... Could you do the Chrome Grille Surround to match the Black Bodywork too?
  18. Reliabilty, Refinement, Smoothness, Emissions etc etc...
  19. if its like mine when i load it up funny, then jams, i just push harder on it, seems to sort itself out then...
  20. I have a Pipercross Panel in my vRS TDi Easy to fit, 8 screws IIRC Also there is a Plastic diffuser tray inside the airbox (just rests in it at the bottom) that i removed too No problems encountered with it, there are 2 available from what i have seen/read - one that comes with oil, and one that doesent - kinda makes me think oiling isnt necessary, but wont harm it either - i oil mine as mine came with the spray oil I noticed the car is a bit more throaty since (noise wise) when you throttle on and off - not a bad thing...
