  2. If its a bad cv joint just turning your steering fully at stand still you will here it so hopefully youve resolved the issue with the cv joint change
  3. My thought would be cv joint if its more pronounced when turning.
  4. I would think if the brake fluid has got into the environment then the blue dye used is the least of the issue lol :P
  5. Last question I promise might as well do a brake fluid change while im at it do you know how much I need to totally bleed the system have a new 1 litre bottle is that enough ???
  6. I would go with t-cut as well this is my before and after using t-cut then as nice soft buffer pad after. Then after.

Cheers guys okay got 2 more questions lol firstly does anyone know the correct part number for the front flexi brake hoses as ive noticed while doing my work both have a split in them not leaking but into the core so I will want to change those and secondly my mate phoned me up about this drivers side drive shaft nut ok so he has the 19mm hex socket but has to take his wheel off to get at it as he has alloys on now the trouble is every time he puts pressure on it to loosen the nut the drive shaft turns so he cant crack it to loosen it off any ideas please ???

  11. Just one last quick question as always lol does anyone know the torque setting for the main brake caliper bolts as im going to take this opportunity to change my pads and discs while i,m re stripping the rest ???

  14. Yep it was mate I will be giving autodoc a round of f##]ks lol and it is gutting bud was hard work by myself but onwards and upwards I guess thanks for the link will sort it now then get stripping them back off over the weekend good job i have access to another vehicle.

  18. Autodoc description says SKODA Fabia I Hatchback (6Y2) (Year of Construction 08.1999 - 03.2008, 50 - 130 PS, Diesel, Petrol) So the description says its the same spring for petrol or diesel but im assuming now from what you guys have said that its incorrect.
  19. wow thats a pia cant drive it got to strip it all back down try and replace springs and worst part is getting springs off and putting new ones on again with those stupid spring compressors gutted. do you guys have another part number for front springs please or correct length etc ???

Yeah i see where your coming from when I got the springs they did seem thicker than the original but if im honest I assumed it was more modern spring type compared to the 20 year old ones so never thought anything of it. Lol tmb no thats me sorry I coated them thats all they are meant to be standard springs.
  22. I ordered everything from autodoc and the details for each part confirmed and brought up my car I just checked them on there again and they all say correct for my car.
  23. I was thinking about what you said I had it all stripped down but only measured the new strut against the old not the springs as i had ordered from a part number and it came up as correct,could it be the springs to long ???
  24. I replaced everything mate struts,springs,track rod end,ball joints and anti roll bar links.
  25. I dont know what the gap is meant to be at as when I got the car they were worn anyway but no way this high.
