  1. It behaves normally. Its on for a few seconds, then it shuts off.
  2. Hello! Im having a battery drain issue with my Skoda. I've seen that I have faultcodes on I Think all the glowplugs. Can this be? Or is it the harness? I Think I have the Cable harness that goes inside the Engine oil... If we say that the glowplugs are shorted, could they be on the entire time and cause my battery drain?
  3. Just a normal multimeter. Ignition off, driver's door open. I guess the lights were on!
  4. Thanks! I took the voltage reading from the cigarette lighter outlet. Maybe it only shows 12v? Because my CTEK showed fully charges after just 30 minutes
  5. Hello! I got back from work this Friday, and I put the car in the garage. I've had problems with batteries running flat, so I bought a new one and fitted wednesday. I've hooked the CTEK charger to my engine warmer, so it charges the battery while the electric heater is doing its buisiness. This morning I check the voltages and its at 12.1V.... Its a big battery from Varta, with 77aH. It must be a big power leak? Problems with the car: Towing bar electrics doesnt work, 3rd party car alarm. I read that in order to check for power thieves I have to make the bonnet and drivers door think that its closed so I can lock the car and put it in "sleep" mode? Thanks alot for any help!
  6. Haha thanks! I was really struggling to find the doors relevant
  7. I'm not sure what you mean with door pockets. Do you mean the interior "pockets" inside of the doors?
  8. Thanks! Where is the relay located? Under the bootcarpet?
  9. Hey! I'm from Sweden and don't know the exact words for what I'm trying to describe, but I hope you will understand either way. I don't get any electric coming out of my octys towing bar electric outlet. I've checked the fuses and that's not the fault. Is there any common faults with these outlets? Thanks!
  10. Hey! I just wanted to share my story. I wanted to use the spare key a while ago, but the central locking would not work from afar. So I opened it up and found loads of oxide. I cleaned it up with oxide cleaner, and put a new battery in. The LED started flashing when pressing the buttons but nothing happened at the car. I tried various methods found by googling but nothing worked. Then I found a post here, https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=86&t=932730 Quoting the post: This worked! After i released the button, all the windows started rolling down, one by one. And the key now works I havent tried starting with it, but I dont think that should be a problem. Now I have a problem with range with the second key I fixed. Its really short, I've changed the battery too. Is there somekind of a antenna built in that could've been damaged by the Oxide? Or did I miss the whole antenna? Car model: Skoda Octavia 2007 Elegance. 2.0TDI
  11. I have, multiple times. Even tried restore with CTEK charger 3 or 4 times. Still its low
  12. The more I think about it the more I think it can be the battery, it does it when cold and when cranking the engine. A lot of strain on the battery. This morning we had +6 degrees and it didn't do it. Yes I changed the fluid and filter.
  13. I'm at 140 000 miles I always start with a foot on the breakpedal. Two days ago it engaged so hard the engine died. So I had to start it again, then it didn't pull at all.. This morning it didn't pull, slightly but just noticeable. I wonder if battery health can affect this? I know my battery is bad.
  14. I have an annoying problem that appeared now when it's colder outside. The problem I have is when I start the car in park, it launches forward or backward. It's like it doesn't know it's in p. It goes out of gear almost immediately though. Too thick DSG fluid maybe? I just changed the fluid to Febi Bilstein DSG fluid. I don't know if it did this at cold temperature prior to the oil change. But it feels alot smoother overall after the change.
  15. Thanks for the picture! Looks like it's the same. I solved my problem without removing the front though That picture should be stickied!
  16. Okay, I've removed all on the bottom and two in the wheel housing, and also both headlights. So I'm almost done then by the sounds of it
  17. I want to remove my front bumper, trying to remove some auxiliary lights that's located under under the license plate. I can only find pictures of where all the bolts go but it's hard to locate on the actual car. I found a guide for a MK1 octy, but I think mines alot different.. Is there any available guide for a MK2 2007 Octavia hatchback? Thanks!
  18. That's the number! Sweden has introduced alot of stuff when buying from China.. it's not as cheap as it used to be anymore The seat had moved during the night again... With the buttons still unattached I:p Maybe a reset could solve things?
  19. Another thing I have noted is at the end adjustments it feels like the seat pulls more on one side, just a little. Feels like a nut is loose? I don't know how it's build but that's my first thought.
  20. I got it out, and I think it will be hard to repair.
  21. I only had fault codes on the memory buttons. And they came all of the sudden.. So ill try to give it a clean!
  22. No Its from a 2007 Octavia. Okay, is it straightforward once I look below?
  23. I've gotten an annoying problem with my electric seat... When I opened the door this morning I noticed that the drivers seat was not positioned as I left it. And when I tried changing it it just override my manual settings. And when driving home this evening it occasionally started moving by itself. It felt like it was trying to access a set program. I scanned for fault codes and got this: Mechanical error on program button two and three. Is it possible to clean the buttons by removing them?
