2.0 TSI GPF Stage 1 & DQ381 Stage 2+
I showed him my stage 1 dragy times when i got these bad times, asking for explanations. He said: to have good times you need the right conditions, let me use your car and I'll show you some interesting results. Now, I'm not a professional driver and surely others would do better, but no way that I could leave my car to someone to squeeze it as if it were in a videogame!! There is some problem with the gearbox, and we will have to fix it. But the engine map is well done, I can't say anything about it, the power delivery is smooth and constant. And the power is also there, when I had the opportunity to try it well, at 286 km / h it was still pushing. but I was afraid of damaging the engine so I slowed down. I think at the moment you have a really optimal configuration, with an excellent money to performance increase ratio. With every penny that you go to spend more you will necessarily go to lower that ratio. So, in my opinion, you do well to keep it as it is. And I can assure you that even with a stage3 you will get used to it quickly...

2.0 TSI GPF Stage 1 & DQ381 Stage 2+
So true! look at this comparison: Stage3: Obviously with mine there is some problem to solve, but it is also true that with your car you have found an optimal setting...It will be difficult to do better than this without other hardware improvements, I think! Very impressed!

Front Grille replacement
Ok, let's put it this way: if I paint it, I close half the holes with paint. Because it's not my job. But by this I don't mean that others are not capable of it... 😅 But i get what you mean!

Front Grille replacement
Of course it is. But I don't think that Forge's painting is the same as the one we would do in our garages. Or am I wrong?

Front Grille replacement
That's not a good idea. The radiator has to radiate heat (obviously) and adding a layer on it is something I would avoid. Better install a new Forge intercooler that is already black

JB4 VS APR Stage 1 tune
+1 wise words ...and I don't regret having remapped it with 1,500 km on the clock!

Front Grille replacement
I admit that I struggled to notice the differences between the two versions, I think the ones I have are fine! Looking at @Xiin's first pic i thought the same. But honestly with that black mesh behind it's not bad at all.

i removed the chrome trim below too, here you can see: 1) stock 2) black front grille and trim 3) black logo

More changes to the sleeper..intake & rear
I think it's just a matter of saving on production costs

More changes to the sleeper..intake & rear
and don't forget the fake exhaust sound too... 🤢🤮!! we are victims of European regulations to lower emissions, as if the cause of the pollution were cars 🤦♂️. Sorry for the off topic, I stop it here.

More changes to the sleeper..intake & rear
I agree, and it is precisely for this reason that in my opinion the original tailpipes are ridiculous, even more so those of my version that no longer has the valves. If you look at them closely they are like this: Even the new Passat 272 comes with hidden tilepipes ! look at 1:31:

272 Superb OPF stageIII
Upgraded DSG clutches for sure but don't forget forged connecting rods and pistons too... I think 500-550 Nm is enough! Nope, I want to wait, but it is a good option for now. But I think you got what i meant about not wanting to spend money for DSG map, for now. First I have to tell her about how good would be the new suspensions, then I can be disappointed about actual dsg map and spend money for a new dsg map. If I did the opposite the new suspension would become a bad idea. That's not me, for sure!

Almost the same here (i have "software version 0001"): 01 Elettronica motore Descrizione sistema: R4 2.0l TFS Numero software: 3G0906259J Versione software: 0001 Numero Hardware: 06K907425J Versione Hardware: H13 I'm sure that the auto upshift can be maintained, I only have to ask the right tuner. TVS would be the best choice for quality, but to be honest now I don't want to pay another 1.500 € for TVS's stage3 dsg map. And also because the kw's suspension for dcc should integrate perfectly with the standard dcc system.......but I have to calm down a bit otherwise my wife throws me out of the house (I don't know if it is correct to say in English but I think the meaning is clear) https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B0777MJ6WY/ this is the one i bought, asin # B0777MJ6WY (actually mine is black and not carbon look like the one shown).

Mine was built february 2019. I refer to simos hardware version, which should be 18.10 on ours. I haven't checked yet but found this: https://store.034motorsport.com/checking-ecu-tcu-box-code-software-version-audi-volkswagen

I applied a darkened film on the central part of the light. If I'm not mistaken, the S3 restyling in the sportline version now has the same part of the rear lights darkened... so Skoda designers must have looked at my car for the restyling!

Superb 3 damper change with DCC
You're right, but trust me it happens also when driving relaxed. Indeed, it is precisely when I drive relaxed that this "scares me" the most. With a sports drive I pay more attention and I have less problems when cornering. Good to know that with the right setup Superb can be funny (or at least not frustrating) to drive through corners too... I would have gladly bought such a car as a family car. But in Italy we have something called "superbollo" which costs you 20 €/kw annually for each kw over 185. This means that having an M4 with 316 kw you have to pay € 2.620 (131 kw x 20 €/kw) extra tax, every year. This for me (and many others) is an excellent reason not to buy these cars... But I can say I'm happy with the choice I made when buying this Superb!

I have tried 4 or maybe 5 launches in all, and don't want to destroy the clutch so that's enough (for now). But at that moment I didn't think that 3.000 rpm would have been enough for launch.. for sure 4.500 are too much, now i know. yes, this left me a little disappointed. Especially because on the ECU it did a good job in my opinion, you can also see it from the dyno chart. I have already told him that if he does not solve this problem I will turn to someone else, but for the moment he does not know how to solve it. He says the problem is due to the ECU which on the golf R and the others is 18.1 while mine is 18.10, and probably the lack of autoupshift is due to a "communication error" between DSG and ECU.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Ah, ok, thanks! Maybe it's because of side skirts you put on, but to my eyes it looks like way lowered than 20 mm...

Superb 3 damper change with DCC
Most of the time I'm ok with oem suspensions. I drive always in sport mode. But sometimes it happens that if i enter a corner braking on a rough road i can feel the rear of the car going everywhere except staying in the right position. And this is a bad feeling. Yes, when cruising on highway with my family i set comfort mode, and it's a very smooth and enjoyable ride to me to which I do not like to give up. I'm also now convinced that a lowering of 25-30 mm should not be too much. I know I can't have a car that handles like an M4 on corners and is at the same time comfortable like a stock Superb 🤦♂️. To be, or not to be, that is the question...

@JR RS how much is it lowered?

272 Superb OPF stageIII
Were i launched the road was not very clean, and even if ESP was set in sport mode the electronics must have significantly limited the power. Probably the tires have slipped for first meters. In fact, with stage1 I could feel the tires "digging" the road to find grip, now when launching i think there is too much wheel slip because i don’t feel that “brutal” acceleration from standstill. Launch control is set at about 4.500 rpm, but there’s another option at 3.000 rpm pushing only half the gas pedal (that i didn’t use). Superb.mp4 I think this has nothing to do with later spool of the TTE535, it could be the fuel i used too: I always refueled with 100 octane gasoline (that should be 98 actually), but this time it could be a worse fuel too. Thinking about it now it would have been better to do a test with a 3000 rpm launch. Fuel injection is a problem because it's working 100% when pushed to the limits, but the problem is only about a possible injector failure, don't think this would cause a remarkable power loss on high rpm. My DSG, if used in manual mode doesn't upshift automatically. But this is an unwanted feature, and he has not been able to resolve this problem. My tuner is also APR dealer, and he confronted with APR engineers: the DSG is mapped correctly so that it should auto upshift, but there must be something that doesn't "allow" auto upshift and it should be the ECU that has been completely remapped. Hitting the limiter in M mode is something that i will avoid, so if pushing hard I have to settle for S mode.

272 Superb OPF stageIII
Time for some dragy numbers, I had the opportunity to do some tests. Long story short: 0-100 4,39 sec 100-200 9,13 sec 200-250 11,98 sec ¼ mile 12,34 sec @ 183,43 km/h ½ mile 19,59 sec @ 220,92 km/h 1 mile 31,53 sec @ 257,20 km/h I’m not happy at all with these results, I expected high 3s on 0-100 and middle/high 8s on 100-200. But numbers don't lie. Asked my tuner, he says that i could get better times if manually upshifting at 7200 rpm, because in S it upshifts at about 6900 rpm. BUT with this dsg there is no possibility to have auto upshift working in manual mode, for now. I’m not a professional driver and i’m not able to upshift manually at exact moment without hitting rpm limiter. Maybe soon or later i'll get how to manually upshift at the exact moment, and maybe will get better numbers, but for now let's say that i'm fine with this. After all I feel the car powerful and gets me a smile every time i drive it...

I'm seriously starting to think about giving up with DCC to have the freedom to install the best option for my needs... I mean, I don't rule out this possibility

Superb 3 damper change with DCC
I spoke via chat with a Bilstein technician (on this page), he said that there are no compatible B6 Damptronic for Skoda Superb. No wonder they don't care!
