  1. no i didn't, i am considering adding MPI, but for now I have not yet decided what to do. I''m currently looking for improving suspension. it's not easy at all
  2. quick update: had to replace all the injectors, probably damaged by bad gasoline (100 octane from IP wich is the first italian distributor). Normally i refuel with 98 octane Repsol + octane booster, but unfortunately not this time. Apart from this problem i finally got the rear brake kit i ordered months ago from uk... but the wait was worth it!
  3. if TVS says car will make 300hp on a stage 2 (on stock turbo), i think there should be an IS20.
  4. Not at all, apart from having no double injection. However, I believe that I will replace my spark plugs (NGK R7438-8) because every now and then I have problems with ignition on one cylinder. I will talk about it with my tuner.
  5. Very similar! At idle it's like stock sound, isn't it? How does it sound while driving?
  6. Wow, two central resonators! it has to be quiet how much space is there between the "rear" central resonator and the drive shaft?
  7. The standard Y section should be 2", but i'm not sure about. I used 2,5" for the Y section. Which 4" downpipe did you buy? Do you have any pics? With a 4" decat dp, turbine should work fine by cooling down quickly. Adding 3,5" turbo back would have been my suggestion too, due to 4" dp. But 3" pipe going into Y section is also ok. Let me know how the car's like with new exhaust!
  8. Until recently I had exactly this setup, but it was 3'' up to the backboxes (200 cell cat + VP center resonator). Too quiet is subjective, it depends on what you are looking for. Nobody imagines that there're almost 500 hp under the hood with that muffled sound. I wanted a little more sound, but performance has not changed at all with Supersprint backboxes. Here's the new dyno chart (almost the same as previous): it's a good solution. For the record, after more than 1 year of use my VP muffler is still as good as new, I was afraid I would have to fill it but we have checked and it is fine. With my current setup I have a bit of a drone when idling in D mode, under 1,000 rpm. Consider that the original backboxes are really very quiet and replacing them completely changes the sound.
  9. you're welcome. finally someone else who ventures into stage 3 ... I am following with interest how your project goes on!
  10. I really like that deeper sound in comfort mode , but with open valve it sounds like...i don't know the right word, but here in Italy we call it "tamarro", it's a person who exaggerates with unnecessary modifications, for example that puts a spoiler on a Fiat Punto . Don't get me wrong, obviously it's not like a spoiler on a Punto, but our sleepers doesn't deserve this unnecessary loud sound... IMO of course!
  11. I guess it will make a too aggressive sound when you open the valve in the central resonator...but at least it won't be a vacuum cleaner noise anymore I wait to hear the new sound
  12. Yes, prices are those shown on their website. I recommend them if what you want is a darker sound. Compared to the originals they completely changed the tone of the car. Before the sound was like a vacuum cleaner, now it's sporty. Now even when traveling in D, upshifting under 2000 rpm, the exhaust sound is always distinctly heard. It can annoy anyone who's not a petrolhead. In S mode i can now hear DSG farts. Shifting at 7200/7300 rpm those little farts becomes a sweet little "bang". Very satisfying.
  13. Small changes to the exhaust system, I replaced rear boxes with Supersprint ones with ECE homologation. I wanted it to have a sportier sound, and to keep the stock look. Adapting OEM tips was more challenging than expected, but in the end they managed to fulfill my request. I am satisfied with the result, the sound at idle is more intense and darker. Much louder when pushing hard. The look is exactly like the original. IMG_4724.MOV
  14. Yeah, me neither. My request to install OEM tips on the new silencers turned out to be more complicated than expected, they will finish welding everything tomorrow.
  15. We all tend to forget that it is not necessary to have that much power to drive like reckless. Combining power with road speed limits is a hypocritical thing. Fortunately, some still retain a bit of passion for cars, in recent times it seems that the manufacturers themselves want to make us give up. And then, why do we have to have justifications for wanting more power? From this point of view, even 150hp is too much, 25hp is enough to reach 50 km/h or 40 mph. Just my two cents.
  16. I've gone for Supersprint rear boxes. Can't you just remove the actuator?
  17. Should be 4N0133246. which rear mufflers did you buy? I also bought new back boxes, will install mine this week on Tuesday
  18. @skodamax I was about to order the same kit just these days. So in the lowest setting it means -50mm if I'm not mistaken right? In my case I thought that even -30mm (the minimum) would be too low. How does it work with the sport / normal / comfort driving modes? does the dcc work as the original? can you share some photos?
  19. black badge bought from superskoda
  20. I don't know where you can find it. I have this code reported on vehicle registration document, on a S/N that says "DNUA" at some point. DNU is engine, A is the power output version (the lower 272 in my case). CJX is the older engine version. DNU has lost dual injection (MPI or port injection), lost exhaust valves, and "gained" OPF. But it is basically the same engine.
  21. Ok thanks, I didn't know. Out of curiosity, can you tell me if it mounts the cjx or the dnu engine? In any case, great choice!
  22. Hi, are you sure about 6-speed? 2021 version comes with 7-speed DSG DQ381...
  23. Maybe 20s is a bit optimistic, but by 22s or even 23s it's still fast. The real game changer IMO is 4x4 and acceleration from low speeds, as you said earlier. The first time I tried the launch control both my wife and I were really shocked. This even if years ago we had for a short time an M6 (E63) that should have been able to hit 200 kmh in about 14 sec, but I can remember that standing start was not so brutal as Superb's.
