Thanks for the replies. I've just emailed the dealer to ask about options for swapping the car. I don't think Skoda will play ball on this as it is clearly stated in the info you have sent (Skoda Document). Possibly down to the goodwill of the selling dealer who in my case has no idea that Skoda or putting such limitations on certain models. This is going to play havoc in the used car market in years to come. May drop a line to the Caravan Club see if they know. A lot of Skodas on C Club sites I notice. Had to laugh when I visited the dealers yesterday, my old Karoq was still for sale! Maybe an option!!!!

Car ordered from stock. Some VAG group towbar electrics from the factory are missing the feed for the Caravan fridge. Price is £435 for aftermarket and £800+ for factory fit. Quite a difference!

All, Dropped the car off this morning for the towbar fitting. Fitter hadn't done a Octavia Mk4 before so had a good look at the car and then informed me that he couldn't fit it. There is no Gross Train Weight listed on the Vehicle Identification plate so without that it would not be legal to tow (GTW listed as 0Kg on the plate). Fitter mentioned this had happened once before with a Kodiaq. Skoda ended up replacing the car for the customer. Once I had picked myself up off the floor I drove over to the supplying dealer for a chat. Dealer has taken it up with Skoda UK and has stated that Skoda may need to replace the car as he remembers me clearly stating I was intending to tow when I agreed the deal. Dealer said the plate was incorrect as the GTW should be at minimum the Gross Vehicle Weight (1900Kg) See what happens next week when Skoda reply. Unfortunetly I need to move the Caravan next month to get it serviced and have holidays booked. Cannot see a quick resolution!!!!

Must admit I do like the auto wiper in reverse function. Had that on my Landrovers.

Only options available on mine are: -Auto wiping in rain -Wiping in reverse -Service position

I've noticed when ever the front wipers are on regardless of what setting, the rear wiper comes on in intermittent mode. Annoying tonight as I was driving in light rain, front wipers on intermittent and the rear came on. Didn't need to as the rain wasn't that heavy and the rear screen was dry. Bit pointless to have a setting for rear intermittent really. Don't seem to be able to change the settings either! Anyone else noticed this. Like the option for having the rear on when reversing. Overall still happy with the car.

Anyone had an issue with a Lane Assist warning failure and amber triangle appearing. Seemed to reset OK when I turned the engine off and back on. Lane Assist seems to be working. Waiting for a call back from the Dealer (for over a week now) regarding a series of reboots on the infotainment screen so I will add it to that!

Tried to set up the Skoda Connect this weekend. Car is asking for an 'S' PIN, done a search but none the wiser. Also tried updating the app on my phone from the old Karoq. It's updated the car and picture but when authorising it's telling me that it found a problem! Assume it's only free for the first year so for what it does is it worth it?

The light on both my key fobs flash randomly for a short period when well away from the car. Cannot find out why. Car two weeks old so assume batteries are OK

Whats the battery part number?

This is conserning. Just taken delivery of my Octavia IV 1.5 SEL and planning to have the towbar fitted by a chap in Clitheroe (Lancs) early next month. TowTrust Swan Neck bar and dedicated 13 Pin electrics for £435. Before I bought the car I spoke to the fitter as I'd noticed the comment about aftermarket towbar fitting in the literature. He said coding wouldn't be a problem as he does loads of VAG models especially Skodas as he gets most work through the local Skoda dealer. The main issue was the bumper cut as the Mk IV bumper differs in profile to earlier models but not a problem to him. He was actually recommend to me by Simpsons at Colne. Get the feeling I should have kept the Karoq? Better have another chat with him.

Hello all, Replaced my Karoq SEL with an Octavia IV Estate SEL ten days ago. Overall very happy (mainly due to paying a lot less on monthly payments!). Looks good in Race Blue. Couple of things I wondered if anyone had an answer for: 1.Infotainment sometimes resets, turns off and straight back on again. 2.Why does the key fob light flash randomly when not in use. Both do the same! Tried a search for both issues but apart from an infotainment issue on a Kodiaq when using Sat Nav couldn't see anything. Have I missed something obvious? All the best, Chris
