  1. how can an EV get 138 mpg??
  2. thanks for that, im currently getting around 55-60mpg using diesel and so theres not a lot in it is there? Using it as a taxi just isnt going to work i dont think, range just isnt there and it takes too long to charge cheaply, if i use public chargers its going to be a lot more the cost of diesel, or even petrol ?
  3. drive anything from 120 to 350 per day, sometimes more if its long distance, sometimes 500 plus... (average 1200 a week) and i can probably get home charger but that seems to take forever to charge.
  4. i have been thinking abut my next car (currently have a superb diesel and am a taxi driver), car is doing approx 55 to 60mpg average use and i was thinking or maybe getting an EV, an enyak being the suitable chioice, but i have never had an ev so have no idea of charging costs, i genuinely thought it would be a lot cheaper per mile with an EV but, after reading some of this, it seems i would be paying nearly double per mile? im currently paying around £200 per week in diesel...am i missing something ?
  5. i need some of these for my 2017 skoda superb hatchback, but there is no number on them...i have checked and checked again in both sides, no numbers on either iof them.. any advice please??
  6. thats what i wanted to hear....thanks very much, i dont suppose you remember what seller you got them from ?
  7. private hire, assorted work maybe 1 airport a week on average, but just general taxi work in and around town with the occasional airport. .
  8. yes there was a lot of servicing, cars need clean oil, 8000 miles is not unusual for oil changes if you want your engine and turbo to last...
  9. yes, i have done these miles, the 2nd one is now on 260,000 miles...
  10. skoda superb greenline
  11. were they electric struts ? if so, where did you get them and did they need coding? thanks
  12. yeah ive read the stuff about snake oil etc etc.....but bottom line is 300,000 miles with no problems whatsoever with dpf, turbo, injectors etc etc., so maybe snake oil, but also may not be,...same engine, same driving, same diesel but no "snake oil" and 160,000 miles dpf problems...
  13. hello, has anyone on here replaced the electric struts on their tailgate ? if so, do they need skoda to code them? i know skoda say they need to code a lot of stuff but i also know sometimes they dont actually need to do this....also, can i put gas struts on instead to save heaps of cash if its going to be expensive? (260,000 miles so dont really want to be spending tons on this fix,) thank you !
  14. i am on my 2nd superb 1.6 greenline, the 1st i sold at 300,000 miles when it was still running perfectly and had never had and dpf issues......i had it regularly serviced at hiQ , and they used to add a diesel treatment at every service (around every 8000 mjles..), the car never had any issues with dpf or anything...my second 1/6 greenline is currently on 180.000 miles and at about 170.000 it went into limp mode and needed new dpf ....it had until that point not had any diesel treatment added as i has it serviced elsewhere...suffice to add i now will be regularly adding stp diesel additive (as they used to add)at every service from now on...
  15. Does anyone know if this part coded or can you just plug and play? (Start stop button) skoda superb 2017 thanks
