Ive ordered some 2 part liquid polyurethane to make a hybrid rubber and polyurethane bush. Im going to fill the gaps between the rubber with polyurethane like an insert. Im hoping this will be a good balance and wont be too hard. Ill report back next week once its arrived.

How much was the turbo back. I've just fitted the AliExpress down pipe. It doesn't fit properly. The pipe doesn't sit in the mounts so is just hanging. It sounds like it's blowing where it goes into the resonator. The pipe doesn't seem to be the right size

It's arrived. It doesn't look to bad. Getting the old one out is a pain. The repair manual says to drop the subframe. I'm going to cut it in half tomorrow. I should be able to get it out in two pieces

I found this in a pdf about the ea211 engine. It seems like the 1.4 120hp engines do have a slightly larger turbo than the 1.2. I thought they were the same

While under the car the other day I noticed the driveshaft heat shield had come loose and was sitting on the drive shaft. This has put a slit in the inner CV boot. No grease seems to have come flying out. How complicated is it to replace the boot? How does the CV joint come off the driveshaft?

My mini impact got the driveshaft nut off easily. Now I'm just waiting for the new knuckle. I did the ball joint on the other side today it was super easy. Took about half an hour not sure why the other side was so bad.

Tried to do the ball joints this week. Didn't go well. The nut was seized and I didn't want to remove the drive shaft. Tried removing it with an angle grinder. I've ruined the knuckle. So I've got a new knuckle and hub on the way. Hopefully I can get the drive shaft out without putting it back on the floor as the ball joint is in pieces.

I have been getting arround 35 mpg. Car went in for alignment today. It said laser alignment on their website. They only did the toe. They didn't check anything else. In the service manual it says camber can be adjusted by loosening the subframe bolts and prying it. It seems better but not perfect. Steering wheel was aiming slightly left when going straight now it's slightly to the right but not as much.

Found some genuine vw ones reasonably priced on eBay. I think the tracking is definitely out.

That's what I was thinking. Is it worth going for Skoda or aftermarket. Autodoc has Moog for 9 pound or lemfruder for 18. Euro car parts only have starline

First impressions are good. They are not as stiff as the powerflex which is good. The powerflex ones didn't feel good on anything but a smooth road. Cats eyes felt odd to go over. The TT/R32 bushes are a good balance between powerflex and the standard bushes. Will try and get a refund on the powerflex ones

ive dropped off the control arms and r32/tt bushes at a garage this morning. hopefully they stay in

Ive heard this as well. But my clio 182 had no cat but I only found out come MOT time. There was never any smell just obnoxiously loud as it had a custom titanium exhaust. There is a decat on AliExpress for around £100 not sure what the quality is like though.

I have been looking to get my 1.4 turbo mapped in. Jbs have said they will not do it because of the issues people have had. They quoted a little over 2k for the hybrid turbo fully fitted. Where have other people got there's done?

Had a knocking noise today. It's come back out again. Think I will get the Ibiza cupra bushes. I'm hoping the wishbone isn't damaged. I think it's also about time I get the fabia mapped. Once I've sold my golf I will probably do it.

Think I will go for them if the powerflexs pop out again. Is it better to also get an oe bush for the front bush. Would it be bad to mix poly and rubber.

These are the TT R32 bushes according to the polo forum they fit. They were also fitted some Ibiza 6j upto 2010. They are part number 8N0 407 181B
