Tyre size and effects
@tyres123The linked website is US focused and has the below photo. As you can see, in the US an all-season tyre is really just a three season tyre (not including winter) or summer tyre (that isn't an UHP Ultra High Performance summer tyre) because it's performance drops off rapidly below 7 degrees Centigrade (7 degrees Centigrade is about 45 degrees Fahrenheit), It doesn't have sipes in the tread for good traction in the snow, and the rubber hardens below 7 degrees Centigrade. In Europe, for a tyre to be classed as all-season it needs to have the 3PMSF symbol (3 Peak Mountain SnowFlake) which means that it has passed a test for good traction in the snow. The M&S marking is mainly used for marketing purposes to emphasize a chunky looking tread pattern perhaps to be fitted to a 4x4 pickup or SUV. To get the M&S marking a tyre doesn't have to pass any tests. However, you might expect to see the M&S marking if the tyre is an AT (All-Terrain) tyre. For a proper all-season tyre the M&S marking has been superseded by the 3PMSF symbol...at least in Europe. There's an error in the below photo regarding sipes. A winter or all-season tyre with the 3PMSF symbol has additional sipes for improved traction in the snow. Additional sipes aren't there to increase wet traction. For example, the Uniroyal RainExpert 5 and Uniroyal RainSport 5 don't have additional sipes. https://tyresandwheel.com/all-weather-vs-winter-tires/ Uniroyal use their RainExpert 5 for 60 aspect ratio tyres and above and their RainSport 5 for 55 aspect ratio tyres and below. Uniroyal RainExpert 5 (excellent wet weather tyre without additional sipes) Uniroyal RainSport 5 (excellent wet weather tyre without additional sipes)

Spare Wheel kit for 2020 superb sportline plus hatch
The Superb MK3 with the 272HP/280HP engines have bigger brakes discs, so the 16" spare wheel won't clear the brake calipers. However, Skoda do a foam and jack kit for this model too. The below foam and jack kit includes everything, except for the actual spare wheel. It can be order ordered from any VAG parts department by quoting part number 3V0093860E. The 18" space saver wheel that Skoda will try to sell you is a 125/70R18 fitted to a 3.5Jx18 ET25.5 5/112 57.1 steel rim (from the Octavia MK3). However, as you can see in the chart below it's better to use a 135/80R18 spare saver tyre...which will fit on the same 3.5Jx18 ET25.5 5/112 57.1 steel rim. Spare Wheel kit for 2020 superb sportline plus hatch
The below foam and jack kit can be ordered from any VAG parts department if you give them the 3V0093860D part number. The cost in the below Czech listings is 2199CZK (about £73.64) but might be a little more in the UK. This kit includes everything, except the actual spare wheel...which can be purchased separately...such as a steel rim from mytyres, and a spare tyre of your choice. The 16" spare wheel that Skoda would normally supply as a spare for the Superb MK3 is a 205/55R15 fitted to a 6.5Jx16 ET46 5/112 57.1 steel rim...which is actually from an Octavia MK3. However, this is a bodge because a 205/55R16 has an outside diameter about 5% smaller than the standard Superb MK3 tyre sizes. This 5% smaller outside diameter also applies to the 125/70R18 skinny spare saver tyre that Skoda try to sell you as a spare for the Superb MK3...so another bodge. It's much better to get a 205/65R16 fitted to a 6.5Jx16 ET41 5/112 57.1 as a spare. The 205/65R16 is a slightly different size to the standard 215/60R16 tyre size, but the 6.5Jx16 ET41 5/112 57.1 is the standard Superb MK3 16" rim size. The ideal of the 205/65R16 instead of the standard 215/60R16, is that when fitted to the standard 16" rim size it allows the spare wheel to fit in the spare wheel well with the carpet flush. Note that you only need an 18" skinny space saver if you've got a Superb MK3 with the 272HP/280HP engine...for which Skoda do a foam and jack kit with part number 3V0093860E. The cost of this in Czech is 2259CZK (about £75.62). Foam and jack kit for 16" spare wheel 3V0093860D (for Superb MK3, not including 272HP/280HP and hybrid models) (about £73.64 in Czech) https://eshop.skoda-auto.cz/cs_CZ/sada-pro-vymenu-rezervniho-kola-16/p/3V0093860D Vredestein Ultrac 205/65R16 95W (Euro label A A 70dB) (£74.50 includes shipping to the UK) https://www.mytyres.co.uk/rshop/tyre/Vredestein/Ultrac/205-65-R16-95W--/R-454757 Alcar 8426 6.5Jx16 ET41 5/112 57.1 steel rim (standard 16" rim from Superb MK3) (£51.20 including shipping to the UK) https://www.mytyres.co.uk/rims/details?vehicleId=182143996746511472&rimCode=ALCAR8426 The reason that the 205/65R16 fitted to the standard 16" rim fits in the spare wheel well without raising the carpet, and the 215/60R16 doesn't is because the 205/65R16 when fitted to a 6.5J rim has an actual inflated width that is 6mm narrower...as shown in the chart below. Actual inflated width of tyre when fitted to a 6.5J rim (measure from sidewall to sidewall, at the widest point) 205/65R16 215mm 215/60R16 221mm

Confusing Wheel Part Numbers
3V0071498E 8Z8 is not in the latest Skoda accessories catalogue, and no longer appears to be available. If you do find one new, expect it to be much more expensive than when they were readily available. The problem with the 235/45R18 8Jx18 ET44 5/112 57.1 wheels is that the tyre's sidewalls don't bulge out much...so the rims are very vulnerable to kerbing damage. The actual width of the inflated 235/45R18 fitted to an 8J rim is about 236mm, and the actual width of the 8J rim is about 227.2mm...so the tyre's sidewalls only bulge out about 4.4mm each side, and that just isn't enough to offer the rims anything like good protection from kerbing damage. Here are two tyre and rim combinations that offer a lot of rim protection for the Superb MK3. Note that 215/55R17 is normally fitted to either a 6.5J or 7J rim on the Superb MK3, but fitting a 215/55R17 to the 0.5" wider 7J rim will result in the tyre's sidewalls only bulging out about 12.1mm each side, ie. quite a bit less than 15mm. Hence, for lots of rim protection from kerbing damage a 215/55R17 shouldn't be fitted to a rim wider than 6.5J Some tyre and rim combinations for the Superb MK3 with lots of sidewall bulge (ie. more than 15mm each side...and therefore lots of protection from kerbing damage) 215/60R16 fitted to 6.5J rim 15.95mm 215/55R17 fitted to 6.5J rim 15.45mm Here's an example of a tyre and rim in size 215/55R17 6.5Jx17 ET41 5/112 57.1 Continental AllSeasonContact 2 215/55R17 94V (Euro label B B 70dB) https://www.camskill.co.uk/m140b0s8825p220589/Continental_Tyres_All_Season_Car_Continental_Conti_All_Season_Contact_2_215_55_R17_94V_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_B_Wet_Grip%3A_B_NoiseClass%3A_B_Noise%3A_70dB 6.5Jx17 ET41 5/112 57.1 alloy rim (for Superb MK3) (3V0071497 8Z8) (5789CZK is about £194.25) https://eshop.skoda-auto.cz/cs_CZ/alu-kolo-triton-17-superb-iii/p/3V0071497++8Z8

Karoq Brake pads and discs
The Karoq rear brakes all use the same ATE rear brake calipers and all use 272x10mm size rear discs. However, there's one important point to bear in mind... There are two different versions of the 272x10mm rear brake discs and they are not interchangeable. The 5Q0615601B version has a width of about 58mm, whereas the 5Q0615601D version has a width of about 48mm. It appears that 5Q0615601B is for "standard rear axle" and 5Q0615601D is for "4-link rear suspension". Tyre change from 215 to 185
As you have 14" wheels listed inside the fuel filler flap, I assume your 1.0 engine has less than 110HP. This is because the 110HP model uses bigger front brake discs (288x25mm) than lower powered models (which use 256x22mm front brake discs) and therefore needs at least 15" wheels on the front to clear the front brake calipers. There's a lot of choice if you also look at non-standard tyre sizes. When you say you're considering 185R15 or R16, do you mean 175/70R14 or 185/60R15? Or are you considering non-standard 16" tyre sizes other than 215/45R16...such as 195/50R16 and 195/55R16?
-
Correct Tyre Pressure?
On the Fabia MK3 the 14" tyre size is 175/70R14 fitted to a 5Jx14 ET35 5/100 57.1 rim.

New tyres - load rating
A 225/50R17 fitted to a 7J rim doesn't need rim protection because the sidewalls bulge out about 15.6mm each side...and that's a lot. For rim protection, it's much better to have sidewalls that bulge out a lot rather than solid rubber rim protection moulded into the sidewalls. One disadvantage of rim protection moulded into the sidewalls is that it doesn't give like bulging sidewalls do, so many owners end up with the kerb taking chunks out of their rubber. Not only is this unsightly, but having a chunk of rubber taken out of the sidewall will leave the tyre unbalanced. By comparison to a 225/50R17 fitted to a 7J rim, a 225/45R17 fitted to a 7J rim is about 14mm narrower, so the sidewalls will only bulge out by 8.6mm each side. However, often 225/45R17 are fitted to 7.5J rims where the sidewalls bulge out even less, ie. only 5.25mm...this is where you might want to consider tyres that have rim protection moulded into the sidewalls. In general, once you get down to 45 aspect ratio and less the tyre's ssidewalls tend not to bulge out so much from the rim compared to tyre with an aspect ratio of 50 or more.

New tyres - load rating
Even the fastest Yeti doesn't have a top speed of over 125mph, so even V speed rated tyres are over-specified. Michelin do an OE 225/50R17 94H Primacy 3 that is an Audi specific tyre. However, this can also be used with other cars such as the Yeti. So this 94H tyre doesn't have an over-specified load index or an over-specified speed rating. One benefit of using car specific tyres (ie. OE tyres) is that the specification is frozen, so if you purchase just one or two tyres at a later date they will still match exactly what's on the car. For example, you might get a non-repairable puncture and want an exact match to the other three tyres that are on the car. Michelin are one of the best tyre brands for all life performance, ie. they still work well when they are worn...unlike many brands that quickly lose performance as they wear down. Notice the excellent Euro label performance, including the low 68dB noise. Yes the noise is measured externally, but it would be silly to measure the noise internally because that wouldn't provide consistent data because each car will suppress the noise in different ways. Break Pads Clips not big enough rear Axle....
Many aftermarket brake pads are sold to replace a huge number of OEM part numbers on a huge range of cars...so it appears that the included shims might not always be relevant to your particular car. This helps understand the OP post, ie. the included shims probably weren't suitable for his car. The only reason the shims are there is to stop squealing...and if you don't get squealing, there's no need for the shims. Maybe the OP just needed to reuse his original shims, or just use the new rear brake pads without shims if he didn't get squealing.

Tyre size and effects
The springs and shock absorbers work with all tyre sizes. The springs and shock absorbers aren't tuned for the tyre size that the car is fitted with, but the weight of the vehicle. Skoda fit the same springs and shock absorbers irrespective of what tyre sizes are fitted, whether it's 195/65R15, 195/60R16, 205/55R16, 205/50R17, 205/45R18, etc. Running different outside diameter tyres front and rear isn't a good idea, especially when the difference is 3.4% as shown in the chart below. Outside diameter of tyres 215/40R18 629.2mm 215/45R18 650.7mm (3.4% bigger outside diameter compared to 215/40R18) If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable ride, summer touring tyres in size 205/50R17 fitted to the standard 6.5Jx17 ET40 rims would make more sense. Although not quite in the same league for sportiness as 205/45R18 fitted to the standard 7Jx18 ET39 rims, it's still more sporty than 205/55R16 fitted to the standard 6Jx16 ET38 rims. Another benefit of moving up to a 50 aspect ratio is that the tyres' sidewalls tend to bulge out more from the rims, thereby providing much better protection from kerbing damage. Michelin Primacy 4+ 205/50R17 89V (Euro label C A 69dB) https://www.mytyres.co.uk/rshop/tyre/Michelin/Primacy-4_/205-50-R17-89V/D-126315 6.5Jx17 ET40 5/100 57.1 alloy rims https://eshop.skoda-auto.cz/cs_CZ/alu-kolo-propus-17-scala-kamiq/p/654071497K+FL8 Actual inflated width of tyre 205/55R16 fitted to 6J rim 208mm 205/50R17 fitted to 6.5J rim 214mm 205/45R18 fitted to 7J rim 206mm 215/45R18 fitted to 7J rim 213mm Actual width of rim (assumes actual width is 24mm wider than J width) 6J rim 176.4mm 6.5J rim 189.1mm 7J rim 201.8mm As you can see in the chart below, the sidewalls of the 55 and 50 aspect ratio tyres (ie. 205/55R16 and 205/50R17) bulge out from their rims by 15.8mm and 12.45mm respectively. The sidewalls on the 205/45R18 bulge out from its rim by a shockingly low 2.1mm. Hence, 205/45R18 when fitted to a 7J rim provides very little rim protection from kerbing damage. For the 215/45R18 tyre size fitted to a 7J rim...the sidewalls bulge out by 11.2mm, ie. 5.6mm each side. So still well short of the 205/55R16 and 205/50R17 fitted to their 6J and 6.5J rim widths. How much wider tyre is than rim 205/55R16 is 31.6mm wider than 6J rim, ie. tyre bulges out by 15.8mm each side of rim 205/50R17 is 24.9mm wider than 6.5J rim, ie. tyre bulges out by 12.45mm each side of rim 205/45R18 is 4.2mm wider than 7J rim, ie. tyre bulges out by 2.1mm each side of rim Another benefit of 17" rims compared to 18" rims is the reduction in unsprung weight. The 17" alloy rims might weigh about 10kg each, whereas the 18" alloy rims might weigh about 11.5kg each. So that's a 6kg reduction in rim weight, and 7.5kg if you include the weight of a matching spare wheel. 215/45R18 might also be a heavier tyre than 205/50R17...so that's yet more unsprung weight.

Dcc springs
Different brands will often have slightly different ideas of what the exact specification of each OEM part number should be. Many of the aftermarket rear springs matching 3Q0511115AK have a wire diameter of only 11.75mm. This seems to be on the thin side, and for this reason I suggest going up one weight range to 3Q0511115AL where many of the aftermarket springs sold to match this OEM part number have a wire diameter of 12.5mm. The online spring catalogues from Kilen, Lesjofors, and KYB list 3Q0511115AL rear springs for the Superb MK3 2.0TDI 140kW 4x4 hatchback. The gknautomotive.com spring catalogue also lists 3Q0511115AL rear springs for this car with DCC...and one weight range higher 3Q0511115M rear springs for this car without DCC. Tyre change
Loosen all five wheel bolts by half a turn. Then drive the car about 2 metres (6 feet) so that the wheels rotate one revolution. That should free the wheels from sticking to the hubs. This lets the weight of the car do the work, not you.

2019 Škoda Karoq 1.6 TDI DSG more tire sidewall
It's quite common for car owners to keep the rims that they have and either go up in width by one size (ie. 10mm) or in aspect ratio by one size (ie. 5%). Going up one size 215/50R18 standard size 225/50R18 one size up in width 215/55R18 one size up in aspect ratio The Karoq's 18" rim specification is 7Jx18 ET45 5/112 57.1 As you can see in the chart below, 225/50R18 has a 1.5% bigger outside diameter compared to 215/50R18 and 215/55R18 has a 3.2% bigger outside diameter compared to 215/50R18. Outside diameter of tyres 215/50R18 672.2mm 225/50R18 682.2mm (1.5% bigger outside diameter compared to 215/50R18) 215/55R18 693.7mm (3.2% bigger outside diameter compared to 215/50R18) As you can see in the chart below all three of these tyre sizes fit the Karoq's 7J rim width. The reason the 7.0 is highlighted is because a 7" rim width is standard for all three of these tyre sizes. ETRTO approved rim widths for passenger car tyres 215/50R18 6.0-7.0-7.5 215/55R18 6.0-7.0-7.5 225/50R18 6.0-7.0-8.0 Example of 215/55R18 tyre size... -
Spare Wheel (again)
The outside diameter of the standard Kamiq tyre sizes are between 3.0% and 4.0% bigger than the 205/55R16 spare tyre, as shown in the chart below. Skoda seem to have a habit of supplying spare tyres that have an outside diameter considerably smaller than the standard tyre sizes. Some Skoda dealers list a 195/65R15 tyre and 6Jx15 ET35 5/100 57.1 steel rim for use as a spare wheel for both the Scala and the Kamiq. However, the outside diameter of 195/65R15 is close to the standard Scala tyre sizes but quite a bit smaller than the outside diameter of the standard Kamiq tyre sizes. Hence, 205/70R15 is closer to the outside diameter of the standard Kamiq tyre sizes compared to 195/65R15. The 195/65R15 6Jx15 ET35 wheel size is listed in the Scala owner's manual as suitable for use with snow chains. The 195/65R15 6Jx15 ET35 wheel size is not shown in the Kamiq owner's manual as suitable for use with snow chains. However, the 195/65R15 6Jx15 ET35 wheel size has been shown by Skoda dealers as suitable for use as a spare wheel. Therefore, you don't need a Skoda approved wheel size (as shown in the car's Certificate of Conformity) for use as a spare wheel. Front brakes Fabia Monte Carlo
Valeo, Mintex, Bosch, EBC, Hella, and Textar, all think that the Fabia MK2 1.2TSI 105HP has 288x25mm front brake discs https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/brake-disc-10132/skoda/fabia/fabia-2006/33243-1-2-tsi?supplier[]=39&supplier[]=2&supplier[]=6368&supplier[]=30&supplier[]=73&supplier[]=21&criteria[100][]=VA

Octavia Scout Mk3 Rear Suspension
If the original front springs have a wire diameter of 13mm and they are changed to front springs with a wire diameter of 13.75mm, they will be about 15% stiffer than standard...all other things being equal such as the number of coil turns. I suggest you try going for softer but longer springs than these, so that the unladen ride height is about the same but without making the front suspension too hard. Bear in mind, that different brands will often have slightly different ideas of what the specification is of a particular OEM part number. For example, Suplex list their Suplex 39686 as having a wire diameter of 13.75mm even though Suplex sell this spring to replace the same OEM part number (ie. 5Q0411105DR) as the Eibach R22922. Looking at the figures, I suspect the Eibach R22922 would increase the front unladen ride height of the Octavia MK3 2.0TDI Scout by about 10mm. If you change the tyres from the standard 225/50R17 to 215/55R17 (perhaps with a change of rim specification, eg. to 6.5Jx17 ET38 from the standard 7Jx17 ET45) you would get an additional 5.75mm of lift. So with the change of front springs and the change of tyres, the front unladen ride height should increase by about 15mm compared to the standard Scout. Eibach R22922 front springs (match 5Q0411105DR) Length 333mm Wire diameter 13.25mm Number of coil turns 4.8 https://www.autodoc.co.uk/eibach/18259219#coil-spring Outside diameter of tyres 225/50R17 656.8mm 215/55R17 668.3mm (11.5mm increase in outside diameter compared to 225/50R17) Continental AllSeasonContact 2 215/55R17 94V (Euro label B B 70dB) https://www.mytyres.co.uk/rshop/tyre/Continental/AllSeasonContact-2/215-55-R17-94V-EVc/D-127980 Alcar 9021 6.5Jx17 ET38 5/112 57.1 steel rim (from Kodiaq) https://www.mytyres.co.uk/rims/details?vehicleId=639488607098246256&rimCode=ALCAR9021https://www.mytyres.co.uk/rims/details?vehicleId=639488607098246256&rimCode=ALCAR9021

Octavia Scout Mk3 Rear Suspension
You have a 2018 Octavia MK3 2.0TDI 135kW/184PS Scout 4x4. What springs were fitted when the car left the factory and what springs do you currently have? The car might have left the factory with 5Q0411105HS front springs and 5Q0511115AM or 5Q0511115AN rear springs. Because the car is a Scout, these are increased ride height springs.

Would 6.5J x 16 ET46 Octavia wheel fit 2020 Karoq
With the 7Jx16 ET45 rims, I would use slightly oversize 235/60R16 tyres on the Karoq (two or four wheel drive) because as well as being cheaper than the standard Karoq tyre sizes, they are very comfortable and protect the rims very well from kerbing and pothole damage and there's a nice selection of tyres available and with a speed rating and load index that isn't over-specified for the Karoq...some examples below. Outside diameter of tyre 225/45R19 685.1mm (Karoq 4x4 tyre size) 235/60R16 688.4mm (0.5% bigger outside diameter compared to 225/45R19) Uniroyal RainExpert 235/60R16 100H (Euro label C A 71dB) (£81.80+shipping) https://www.camskill.co.uk/m62b0s425p212999/Uniroyal_Tyres_Car_Uniroyal_RainExpert_5_235_60_R16_100H_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_C_Wet_Grip%3A_A_NoiseClass%3A_B_Noise%3A_71dB Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 235/60R16 100H (Euro label E C 72dB) (£89.25+shipping) https://www.camskill.co.uk/m62b0s425p148190/Yokohama_Tyres_Car_Yokohama_Geolandar_AT_G015_235_60_R16_100H_RPB_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_E_Wet_Grip%3A_C_NoiseClass%3A_B_Noise%3A_72dB Vredestein Quatrac 6 235/60R16 100H (Euro label C B 71dB) (£92.85+shipping) https://www.camskill.co.uk/m139b0s12008p201646/Vredestein_Tyres_All_Season_Car_Vredestein_Quatrac_6_235_60_R16_100H_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_C_Wet_Grip%3A_B_NoiseClass%3A_B_Noise%3A_71dB Alcar 9257 7Jx16 ET45 5/112 57.1 steel rim (9.35kg) (from Yeti and Superb MK2) (£49.50 includes shipping from Germany) https://www.mytyres.co.uk/rims/details?vehicleId=182363349315490928&rimCode=ALCAR9257 I can't find any photos of a Karoq with oversize 235/60R16 tyres, but here's a photo of a Yeti with oversize 235/55R17. Top photo shows the original 225/50R17 tyre size, and the bottom photo shows the oversize 235/55R17. 235/60R16 has a similar outside diameter to 235/55R17, but 235/60R16 has 11.75mm (almost 0.5") more sidewall height...so will look even more chunky.

Would 6.5J x 16 ET46 Octavia wheel fit 2020 Karoq
Unless you are balancing the wheels yourself, what wheel weights to use is down to the tyre fitter. I don't think a tyre fitter would be too pleased if you start telling him how to do his job. My stick on wheel weights have a height of 4mm, and that includes the thickness of the adhesive pad. When using stick-on wheel weights, it's always best to use low profile simply because they are less likely to fall off...regardless of the clearance between the rim and the brake caliper.
