Help: Choosing Used Alloys for MK2 vRS
The Trinity 7.5Jx18 ET46 alloy rims have 5mm less offset than the standard 7.5Jx18 ET51 rims, so should fit without any rubbing. I read somewhere that the Trinity rims are over 14kg each, so around twice the weight of the 7.3kg 16" rims that I linked to above. It's unlikely anyone would have fitted front discs bigger than 340mm, and 17" rims will fit over those size discs. However, measuring the diameter of front discs is really easy especially if a front wheel is off.

Help: Choosing Used Alloys for MK2 vRS
You can see below that the 17" rims on the Octavia MK2 have a specification of 7Jx17 ET54 (this doesn't include the Scout models which have a specification of 7Jx17 ET50), and the 18" rims on the Octavia MK2 have a specification of 7.5Jx18 ET51. The Octavia MK2 RS only has 312mm diameter front brake discs, so 16" rims are another option that will fit. The standard 16" rim size on the Octavia MK2 is 6.5Jx16 ET50 but consider these super light (about 7.3kg each) forged alloy rims from Audi A4/A6 cars around the year 2000. 7JX16 ET45 5/112 57.1 alloy rims 8D0601025K (from Audi A4/A6) 9 8D0 601 025 K aluminium rim 7 JX16H2 ET45 5/112 4 PR-C8Y 8D0601025K Z17 avus silver 2001.99 - 2009.01 https://audi.7zap.com/en/rdw/audi+a4+avant/a4/2000-223/6/601-601060/#9 Octavia MK2 7Jx17 ET54 5/112 57.1 alloy rims 5 1Z0 601 025 L aluminium rim 7JX17 ET54 4 ZENITH (RS) 1Z0601025L 7ZS chrome coloured metallic 2011.08 - 2006.13 https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/octavia/oct/2012-663/6/601-601070/ Octavia MK2 7.5Jx18 ET51 5/112 57.1 alloy rims 1 1Z0 601 025 M aluminium rim 7,5JX18 ET51 4 ZENITH (RS) 1Z0601025M 7ZS chrome coloured metallic 2011.08 - 2005.09 https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/octavia/oct/2012-663/6/601-601080/

Full Sized Tyre as Spare
On the Superb MK3, the 215/60R16 tyre size fitted to a 6.5Jx16 ET41 rim raises the carpet slightly, perhaps by about 6mm. I suggest you try the same size 215/60R16 tyre, but fitted to a 0.5" narrower 6Jx16 ET43 rim from the Karoq. By fitting the same size tyre to a 0.5" narrower rim, when inflated, the width of the tyre (as measured from sidewall to sidewall) will be about 6mm narrower. Therefore, the carpet should now be flush. This avoids the need to use those really quite unpleasant 125/70R18 space saver tyres. Superb MK3 tyre and rim sizes https://www.wheel-size.com/size/skoda/superb/2017/ Karoq tyre and rim sizes https://www.wheel-size.com/size/skoda/karoq/2017/ An alternative to the 6Jx16 ET43 rim from the Karoq, is a 6Jx16 ET40 rim from the Superb MK1. The 6Jx16 ET40 rim is a winter tyre size on the Superb MK1. Notice that the Alcar 6665 is a 14-hole design, the Alcar 9490 is a 15-hole design, and the Alcar 8426 is an 18-hole design. I've included details of the 6.5Jx16 ET41 steel rim from the Superb MK3 for completeness, not because the carpet will fit flush (because it won't with a 215/60R16 tyre size fitted to a 6,5J rim width).

The Fabia MK1 uses 6Jx14 ET43 rims for its 185/60R14 tyre size, whereas the Fabia MK2 uses 6Jx14 ET37 rims for its 185/60R14 tyre size. Therefore, if you use these MK1 rims on a MK2, you will have 6mm too much offset and the tyres will sink into the wheelarch by 6mm each side, ie. you will lose 12mm of front and rear track. Octavia Scout Mk3 Rear Suspension
As they both have a wire diameter of 13.5mm, I doubt you would notice any difference when fitted.
-
Octavia Scout Mk3 Rear Suspension
5Q0411105HS are listed at around 2.03kg to 2.05kg. The only difference between 5Q0411105HS and 5Q0411105DQ appears to be the wire diameter. 13.00mm for the 5Q0411105HS and either 13.25mm or 13.50mm for the 5Q0411105DQ. If you have 13.25mm wire diameter, I would expect the weight to be around 2.11kg to 2.13kg. If you have 13.50mm wire diameter, I would expect the weight to be around 2.19kg to 2.21kg. Two matched springs of 2.16kg and 2.19kg in weight isn't that close, as 2.19kg is about 1.4% heavier than 2.16kg. However, as long as the other specifications are similar such as wire diameter, number of coil turns, and uncompressed length, then you shouldn't have a problem. What brand of springs did you order?

Does the Sportline have stiffer suspension?
If you check your car's build codes, you can find out what the standard springs are. For the Superb MK3 2.0TDI 190HP FWD estate, these might be (according to the Kilen/Lesjofors spring catalogues): 5Q0411105GM Front coil spring L07 1 blue dot, 1 grey dot https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/oem/5q0411105gm?search=OEN+5Q0411105GM&supplier[0]=112&supplier[1]=246&supplier[2]=32&supplier[3]=253&supplier[4]=112&supplier[5]=246&supplier[6]=32&supplier[7]=253 3Q0511115AK Rear coil spring 1JA+0YC https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/oem/3q0511115ak?search=OEN+3Q0511115AK&supplier[0]=32&supplier[1]=112&supplier[2]=253&supplier[3]=246

Space saver wheel
If you have 256mm diameter front discs, then 14" tyres will fit such as 185/60R14 and 185/65R14. 6Jx14 ET37 and 5Jx14 ET35 rims could be used for these tyre sizes. However, only 185/60R14 fitted to a 6Jx14 ET37 rim is a standard Fabia MK2 fitment. The Roomster lists 185/65R14 fitted to a 6Jx14 ET37 rim. However, to closely match the outside diameter of the 205/45R16 tyre size, the higher sidewalled 185/65R14 tyre size is closer in outside diameter to 205/45R16 than 185/60R14. Fabia MK2's with less than 105HP will usually have 256mm front discs, whereas models with at least 105HP will tend to have the bigger 288mm diameter front discs. 14" wheels won't fit over the front brake calipers on 288mm discs, so at least 15" wheels are needed for the 288mm front disc size.

Ride Quality - 18” and 17” wheels.
According to wikipedia, the Seat Arona has a wheelbase of 2,566mm and the Skoda Kamiq has a wheelbase of 2,651mm. So the Kamiq has a wheelbase 85mm longer than the Arona.

Pads & Disca
For the Superb MK2, you should be able to get the very best quality (eg. ATE) front and rear brake discs and front and rear brake pads for about £250 including shipping depending on the brake disc sizes. If you go for Bosch discs and ATE brake pads, the price drops to about £200 including shipping, as Bosch discs tend to be less than ATE discs. Of course, it depends on exactly what size discs you have. The best prices will tend to be for the smallest disc sizes, ie. 288mm front discs and 272mm rear discs on the Superb MK2. OEM brake diagrams for the Superb MK2 on 7zap https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/superb/sup/2016-768/6/ Also consider TRW brake pads, but unless they are a lot cheaper than ATE brake pads, I would go for ATE over TRW brake pads. TRW brake discs tend to be painted rather than coated, so I would go for ATE or Bosch brake discs over TRW brake discs as coated brake discs should offer better protected from corrosion.

If not Touranzas, then what?
The non-standard 225/45R18 tyre size will fit the 7J rims and give better rim protection than the standard 215/50R18 tyre size, due to the tyre sidewalls bulging out slightly. So when you gently nudge the kerb in slow parking procedures, the tyre's sidewall will touch the kerb before the alloy rim. 225/45R18 have a similar outside diameter to the standard 225/40R19 tyre size. Bridgestone Weather Control tyres are all-season tyres with the 3PMSF symbol. All-season tyres with the 3PMSF symbol will work much better in the snow and in cold rain below about 9 degrees Centigrade than summer tyres. Bridgestone Weather Control A005 Evo 225/45R18 95V XL https://www.mytyres.co.uk/rshop/tyre/Bridgestone/Weather-Control-A005-Evo/225-45-R18-95V-XL/D-124008 wheel-size.com https://www.wheel-size.com/size/skoda/karoq/2018/ At least you haven't got 19" rims, as the 225/40R19 tyre size fitted to 8Jx19 rims provides little protection from kerbing damage. As you can see in the chart below, 225/45 is a legal fitment to a 7J rim. Production codes??
You can get the build codes from "erwin skoda" but they charge 7 Euros for 1 hour's access, or there's an ebay seller that charges about 3 Euros for the build codes. Search "vin skoda decoder" on ebay to find the listing.
-
Production codes??
There might have only been around 40 of the build codes on that white label. This wasn't all the build codes, as there might have been around 180 build codes in total. So you might have got the build code for the front or rear shock absorbers, but not both. And you might have got the build code for the front or rear brakes, but not both. So it's best to get a copy of all the build codes for your car's VIN number. The white build codes label (with only some of the build codes) was stuck under the carpet in the spare wheel well area.

Ride Quality - 18” and 17” wheels.
That's correct. 6J for the 16" rims and 6.5J for the 17" rims. Although you will lose ride comfort by going to 17" (no matter how light the rims are), at least 17" is far more comfortable than 215/45R18 on 7J rims if you choose that route. "skoda eshop cz" alloy rims for the Kamiq https://eshop.skoda-auto.cz/cs_CZ/hlinikove-disky/c/alloyWheels?q=%3ApriceAsc%3AcarType%3AKamiq%2B%282019%2B%29&text=# wheel-size.com https://www.wheel-size.com/size/skoda/kamiq/2019/

Ride Quality - 18” and 17” wheels.
All other things being equal, a heavier rim doesn't make the ride harder. Maybe you were thinking about a lighter weight accelerating faster when subjected to the same amount of force. A lighter wheel would therefore technically make the ride harder, not softer. However, even a 1kg heavier wheel is insignificant when you consider that there might be about 300kg of force pressing down on the wheel through the spring, ie. the weight of the car. I'm a big fan of strong but light wheels, but not because it makes the ride better because it doesn't. As standard, the Kamiq fits its 205/60R16 tyre size to a 6J rim, not a 6.5J rim. As standard, the Kamiq fits it 205/55R17 tyre size to a 6J rim, not a 7.5J rim. Fitting a 205/55R17 tyre to a 7.5J rim will make the ride much harder than fitting it to a much narrower 6J rim. Even a 205/55R17 tyre fitted to a 6J rim will ride a little harder than a higher sidewalled 205/60R16 tyre fitted to a 6J rim. Choice of tyre also makes a big difference to ride comfort as some designs have sidewalls that flex more easily than other. I haven't seen the 205/55R17 Bridgestone Turanza T005 in a lower specification than V speed rated and eXtra Load, whereas I've seen the 205/60R16 Bridgestone Turanza T005 in an H speed rating and Standard Load. Apart from the difference in size, over-specifying a tyre makes the sidewalls less flexible and therefore the ride harder. Maybe try 6Jx15 ET38 5/100 57.1 alloy rims with 205/65R15 or 205/70R15 tyres. The ride would be even better than 205/60R16 tyres fitted to 6Jx16 rims. Vredestein Quatrac 5 205/70R15 96T https://www.camskill.co.uk/m138b0s7998p144823/Vredestein_Tyres_All_Season_Car_Vredestein_Quatrac5_Vredestein_Quatrac_5_-_205_70_R15_96T_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_C_Wet_Grip%3A_C_NoiseClass%3A_A_Noise%3A_69dB If you're shocked by the amount of sidewall on 205/65R15 and 205/70R15 tyres, just stick to the standard 205/60R16 tyre size on 6Jx16 rims, although 195/65R15 on 6Jx15 ET35 rims is officially listed by Skoda as a winter tyre size for the Scala and maybe the Kamiq. 6Jx15 ET38 5/100 57.1 rims have been fitted to a large range of VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda group cars such as the Golf MK4, Polo MK5, Fabia MK3, Ibiza MK4, etc. Pre-HE (1975-1981) Jaguar XJS had 205/70R15 tyres HE (1981-1991) Jaguar XJS had 215/70R15 tyres https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaguar_XJS

Mk2 Octavia VRS front suspension (I know, again)
As you can see in the charts below, the OEM part numbers of the springs and shock absorbers depends on the car's build codes that the car left the factory with, ie. what parts were used in building the car. You can obtain the car's build codes from "erwin skoda" for about 7 Euros, or there's an Italian ebay seller "VIN skoda decoder" that will provide the build codes for about 3 Euros. You can probably find suitable aftermarket parts without the build codes, but they might not match the OEM part numbers exactly. They might, but you won't know without the build codes. Collected Sportline Plus yesterday. Kerbed the wheels today!😭
I'm sure it's nothing to do with a lack of driver skill, but simply a case of trying to drive a big car on small roads. Maybe try 235/45R18 tyres on 7.5Jx18 ET50 rims from the VW iD.3 These ET50 rims would move the centre of the tyre/rim 6mm inwards on each side of the car, compared to the standard ET44 rims. The 0.5" narrower 7.5J rims will move the edge of the rim 6.35mm inwards on each side of the car, compared to the standard 8J rims. The combined effect of the 6mm and 6.35mm improvement, is a total improvement of 12.35mm on each side of the car. It will be like driving a 24.7mm narrower car. Great for driving through those pesky 2m (6ft6in) width restrictions. As you can see in the chart below, 235/45R18 fitted to a 7.5J rim is a legal fitment. You can also see, that 235/40R19 can't be fitted to a 7.5J rim as this tyre size needs at least an 8J rim to be legal. Extract from ETRTO manual 235/45 7.5-8.0-9.0 235/40 8.0-8.5-9.5

Octavia Scout Mk3 Rear Suspension
The lengths that are quoted by the manufacturer are only approximate. If the actual length turns out to be within 3mm of what the manufacturer claims, you are doing well. Also, springs might vary a little from batch to batch or from different factories even if they are supposed to be exactly the same. I once looked at some OEM springs in a Mercedes parts department. They both had the same OEM part number so should have been identical, but they weren't. Standing them up together on the bench, you could see that they were about 10mm different in length. When you purchase a pair of springs, always weight them on some accurate digital kitchen scales. A matched pair, that came out of the same batch at the factory, should weigh within a few grams of each other. Also, stand them up together and they should appear to be identical in length. Also, check the wire diameter with digital calipers, check the outside diameter, and check the number of coil turns. Make notes of all your findings, and take some photographs. If after fitting your springs you find that your car is too high or too low, or the ride is too hard or too soft, you can go back to your notes and photographs for further investigation.
