Touch screens in cars are a bad enough issue, very distracting and hard to use while on the move. Commen car conrols should all be physical knobs and switches so you can do what you need to do by touch alone. anything make makes you change you point of focus is not great. A basic hud which is is focus as you look ahead isn't a abad idea but only very basic info. I think in the future you'll have systems wich will point out items of note using FLIR etc but it won't be a streaming screen at short reach. It'll be imbedded into the screen

Maybe or just dragging out the sale so you get frustrated and sell at a lower price. It might just be as it sounds, someone half heartedly going through the motions then giving up when they'd rather watch telly. I think I'd just do as @Sofo says, say come at 5pm. And also just add that the car is staying up for sale and it's first come first served. So basically if they turn up and buy fine if not you've lost nothing and promised nothing. Yeah I think this has been set since the boot doesn't open super high. I think the boot has only ever acted oddly when I've opened it using the keys, which makes me think I'm not quite doing what I'm supposed to. I saw those buttons they're next to the tow bar button that gets clobbered by the pram. I've not tried them yet, well not knowingly anyway. A few things I don't like The indicator noise. The automatic windows wipers are hyper senstive they won't behave themselves. TBH that's my experience of most auto wipers. I'd rather have an intermittent I could control manually. The boot opening and closing is a bit sensitive. It like to stop. I've a feeling I'm not doing something quite right with it. The deployable tow bar button is nicely located so you can hit it putting a pram in or out of the boot. Power sockets in the boot are under a cover, why not this? The ICE and connectivity is horribly complex. I've set up at least three seperate accounts for apps, nav and other things but still can't see how to get a map update. It's got Android CarPlay which is good, but figuring out how to switch to it is basically pot luck. Everything else is great. I love how quiet it is on the motorway The mpg is really quite reasonable (~35mpg) but I'm finding I drive much more slowly now. The 335d made you drive faster. The V6 noise is nice Love the space Surprisingly now I'm driving a car I used to always accuse its drivers of tailgating me I'm now getting tailgated a lot and cut up. People seemed more wary of the BMW, but not this, it's the size of a house but it seems to bring out the nutters.

I did this for a while, but it's not ideal. It's expensive to keep two cars on the road if you're only using one occationally. Might be cheaper to hire a car to do those occasional tasks then to keep a second. I had a whole thread on whether to get a 3rd car just for offroading but it didn't stack up and I took a long path to swap to a car that can do everything I need.

It might only be a Jimny but they're not cheap cars. Would be nice to to worry about a £24k motor

If it's a wee outside car wash place their chrmicals can be quite strong and leave a lot of wax. If you don't like vinegar use windolene (which has vinegar in it). Car glass has a clear coating on it that might holding onto the water

It's really not a bonny car. Grill too big, wheels too small. Might be a bad angle I suppose. It's probably lovely if you look at it from behind a brick wall.

Actually every NHS trust is a seperate legal entity, 14 in Scotland alone. GP's surgeries are also independent businesses as are pharmacies and dentists. The NHS is quite an odd conglomeration of bits and pieces that get referred to as a single thing.

New models are often a bit flaky. With so much tech it's not really a surprise that the majority of issues inthe future will be software related. There is probably nothing wrong with that camera module, it's probably not compatible with the car software update, or the update is applied in the wrong order. If you've ever worked on computers for a living all these issues start to sound familiar

If I'd bought a Sport I'd have to agree with you. I'd like to think I've made the gentlemans choice Some more good new for me though. Since I have the RR with the smallest alloys there are proper off-road tyres available. the 21" and 22" alloys don't really get anything knobbly at all. My mate boasts about having to pull a Discovery out of mud with his ancient Subaru. I'm not having that

A little too late now in afraid with the RR on the drive. The Grand Cherokee would have fit the bill but they don't sell them any more. As said I didn't really want a3rd car and if I was swapping the bmw for a 4x4 it had to be a nice place to be since it'll get used for some long trips down south. Nearly bought a Landcruiser but ended up with a RR.

I've had the chance to drive about 10 mi in it. so impressions at the moment are restricted to. Fk me it's big. Nah it's bigger than that. I'm physically looking down on most SUVs Lots of pretty touch screens but I still think they suck for a car. Buttons buttons everywhere The most complex ICE ever. I mean I've worked in IT for 20yr and I'm struggling with some of it. The seats, oh lord the seats are comfortable It's actually quite nippy for a 2T truck, plenty of poke Steering a lot slower than the BM that'll take a bit of getting used to the driving mode defaults to comfort which is a bit wafty for me, I have to keep changing it to dynamic and there is no way I've found to make it stick. £80 to fill the tank, which was less than I thought. short run got 32mpg, I'm guessing the paper figure of 38 might be possible which would make it no worse than the 335d. We'll do some more miles over the weekend and we have some load lugging tasks for it which should be good.

I've not real experience with those boxes. My mate has one in his outback but it pretends to be a normal auto with set ratios most of the time. He's indifferent about the CVT. His Outback is some weird banzai edition. I've no idea if that makes a difference.

The Rav4 is quite a big car so the Suzuki will be too I suppose but still...that price. I thought Suzuki was primarily a budget car manufacturer. The Kona isn't a bad looking car. Not my thing but it's not offensive.

Byron is a light blue but aye pretty much. It's 'only' got 20"alloys but I didn't want 21 or 22 I actually will need to go down a muddy track. I'd have rather had Maserati for the difference but functionality ruled.

Drum roll................. Just delivered to me a Range Rover Vogue 3l V6 in Byron Blue Optional electric tow bar, opening panoramic roof and a couple of other little things. Pictures to follow. Dearly departed my 2015 335d which is think is one of the best all round cars around. 0-60 in 4.7sec but could still do 42mpg quite easily. I'm not sentimental about cars but that engine is bloody brilliant and it was a very easy car to live with and practically faultless in the time I had it. If anyone is thinking about one YK65FVZ was mine and it was a good one. Serviced, new brakes and powder coated wheels.
