  1. I'm seeing at least one new Golf R every day which surprises me,. dosn't 33K buy anything better?
  2. Agree with all on the 'realistic' list and on the 'not going happen any time soon' list I do believe 4 or even 5 those will happen at some time.
  3. nice that so many people do still have 'proper' hi-fi systems..most kids today are missing out on how music should sound! So, in my rack currently is.. Rega Planer 2 Turntable Graham Slee Gramamp 2 Phono Stage Meridian CD200 Transport Rega DAC Naim Nait XS Amp Acoustic Energy AE Lite 2 speakers fed with 'Exposure' Cable. Also have a bedroom system...Marantz CD63 Aura Amp Mission Speakers (bi-wired with Ortofon cable!) I do have Mp3's which I listen to mainly in the car...I think of Mp3's as nothing more than a replacement for the cassette tape format, convenient for music playback when on the go !
  4. it's always woman who do this. they seem incapable of opening car doors without banging them!..happened to me twice last week, fortunately no damage.
  5. 19k for me now in just 11 months! glad to say no problems to report and the performance seems even better in terms of MPG and torque!
  6. I remember Peco's .. had one on my very first car, a Hillman Californian !!
  7. just found this....http://www.drivearchive.co.uk/ and yes I don't have much to do today!!!
  8. Hi folks After looking at old photo's of an MG Midget I had years ago, I wondered if the car still exists. Is it possible to trace by registration(?) if 'any' car still exists? I've looked at the DVLA site but cant see anything relating to this. There's loads of vehicle Reg check sites if your buying a car. I often wonder about my first Skoda too, a 53 plate Mk1 vRS Octy, maybe someone on here has that? Cheers.
  9. it was last week, HGV on M62 flicked up 2 half brick size stones which flew into me resulting in bad dent in wing and a cracked front bumper!! Bodyshop said I will need a new wing but the bumper can be repaired..
  10. Hi, I'm in the process of (trying) to change from Virgin to BT as my ISP. mainly due to the better deal available from BT although I don't rate BT customer service as being any better than the others! however I cannot get the Migration Code from Virgin required by BT Anyone ever had the same problem. It's impossible to speak to anyone at Virgin, no phone number on website and when I did find a number on Google it was Talk Talk who said they couldn't help! Cheers
  11. ARA8 01L ... and the driver had a long beard and was wearing a turban!!!!
  12. Mines hurt as well..Very annoying that an HGV flicked up two half brick size stones as he passed me which flew like missiles into my front bumper and drivers side wing! Result is a crack in front bumper and bulge with deep dent in wing which body shop say will have to be replaced, the bumper can fortunatly be repaired.
  13. ah right, thanks for that..I don't read czeck ! A rapid RS would be cheaper than an RS Octavia so I would buy one!
  14. I've just had the Philips White Vision Xenon Effect bulbs fitted and they are a big improvement.
  15. the twin looks great, I just put a single on..might add twins now though.
  16. seems they do do a hot one now!!! http://rapidskoda.cz/novinky/rapid_rs/
  17. Xenons would be nice...I had them previously on 2 Octavia's and I miss them now,
  18. just to ask, why is it 2.9% APR on the Yeti and 0% on everything else?
  19. I was seriously considering a Shark re-map but tbh since my car has had a 10K service it feels a lot more torquey and really flies when up at 4k+ revs! Anyone know if the turbo and clutch are the same (size?) on the 1.2 as on the 1.4 ? the re-map for the 1.2 would bring it up virtually to the 1.4 spec? The clutch and turbo are the two things that would concern me unless they are the same as the 1.4 because of the extra power they had to handle?
  20. just to add to this thread...In the May 2014 Rapid brochure that I have, it says on page 31, Climate Control is a ''Factory Fitted Optional Extra'' on the sport, which would have to be ordered before the car is built! On the back cover of the brochure it says the information given is not binding and some vehicles illustrated are left hand drive models with standard and optional equipment fitted... that's the get out, which is annoying when you want your car to look as it's depicted. So I think you did well to have the £300 re-fund and stripes done FOC.. I had my stripes done by a local vehicle graphics shop in the end as my dealer couldn't get the ''Decorative Foils'' from Skoda who said not available to order for the UK !!!
  21. £75+vat from my dealer. not cheap but probably less cost than having it professionally painted or wrapped. and yes a Honeycombe style grill would look great and match in with the already Honeycombe lower grill.
  22. they didn't charge me for fitting it, They did a 10K service on the car at the same time so that might be why.
  23. Delighted with this..supplied and fitted by my dealer.I ordered it on Monday and had arrived on Tuesday! Surprising how such a small detail change makes so much difference. It really brings out the lower black grill a lot more.
  24. great, thanks camelspyyder... and this is the one fitted to the Rapid as illustrated on the front of the UK edition brochure! http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=en&prev=search&rurl=translate.google.co.uk&sl=de&u=http://www.autohaus-habinghorst.net/shop/rapid/aussenausstattung/spoiler/631/frontspoiler-rapid%3Fc%3D20&usg=ALkJrhicrYI2Ehr0vg_vOleTb5brKQo69w with this design it seems painting it to match the car is best, I can't now decide if the Monte Carlo one in black would be better?
