In short, can this be disabled? Looking at alot of videos on youtube etc, its quite annoying and its an option ive gone for..... Only 4 weeks to go (hopefully)

Should wait until stationary to put a car into first gear . There should be a synchro blocker thing to keep you from frying first gear. If you force it in before the car has stopped you will wear ii out.

My definition of a good car stereo is one you can listen to at 70mph (maybe more on the German autobahn) , hear all the voices clearly and not have to have it so loud that you cant hear the person next to you without having to shout. i find the stereo in the Octavia does not meet this standard. There is no midrange, no clarity . You have to have it up too high to hear. whenever the traffic reports come on, stereo goes up to 14 I hope the Superb with the upgraded sound system will meet this requirement. The only demo cars i looked at had the standard stereo. But could never get a dealer to lend me one for a decent amount of time to test properly. Hope the new car meets my expectations!

Its being part-ex for the new one :S Company car, so i don't get a say in that dept. I know - i wasn't expecting to see it again. Not a scratch on it... Was used in 2 robberies as well :( Took the police over 2 months. They had it for 4 weeks for forensics.

in 6 weeks (hopefully) ill be the proud keeper of a Superb Estate! But having spent many hours this week cleaning (and driving) my car. Ill be sad to see it go. This is the first car ive ever enjoyed as much. Most cars i cant wait to get rid of to get the next one. But this car has been an absolute hoot. Couldnt resist. Had to take a picture Paint still looks good to for a solid colour 3 years and 90,000 miles!! AND it was taken from me by thieves last year. Got it back though

I got a build week today. Its going to be week 30. On 28 now. I ordered on the 27th April... Thats about 17 weeks if it turns up then. Over 4 months :S

They did. But it was a 17 yr old merc I'm sure it'll be great though. Just been told mine is to be built in week 30. About 6 weeks to go!!

Im with you. Got a 25k budget. No limit as to what car. Got colleagues getting 5 Series and A6's and as you can imagine im getting some gip. Im 30 (just) and ordered a Superb Estate 170 DSG Elegance

I also got told this is mainly due to the factory summer shut down which is around 3-4 weeks. Ah well..... Still got my VRS to keep me happy till then

I ordered on the 27th April. Just got an estimate of 17th August!!! OUCH

Just ordered mine today Superb Estate 170 DSG Magic Black Electric Boot Sunblinds sunset glass Upgraded Stereo Dimming rear view mirror Heated rear seats Mats Got quoted 12-14 weeks.. Cant wait. Trading in the VRS for it!

Had mine diagnosed (suspected) as an oil cooler at fault for my coolant loss. Car does stutter ALOT though and power is all over the place. 1 min i have full power, then the turbo goes on holiday :( Hope the oil cooler fixes it or it looks like im in for an expensive one!!

My Occy VRS TDi is 3 yrs old soon and ill be looking for a new company car. Like the look of the Superb 170 Elegance DSG (im 30. Am i too young?) In your experience do you think ill get a higher trade in value if i get another Skoda or ill get the same sort of cash wherever i go.. I know i can go to the dealer and ask!! But i thought id get some opinions.

Its a whole 3 miles for me... Ill have to get the satnav out!!

same happened to me - ended up paying 65 quid for a new one as they TOTALY denied that they had done it.... :( i know they did though!! GRRR

would you believe it. EML light gone off now. still taking it in though

is there any other way to drive a vrs?

The DPF light has gone off now. EML still on. going to try to get home tomorrow (200 miles|) Im booked in for Thursday morning at the dealer. Fingers crossed i get home ok

This morning, the engine management light was on. wa sok last night. on the way to work, the DPF light also came on. Any ideas??
