  1. Yeah, I've spent a bit of money with them recently after my engine failed, so worked me a good price. Wheel alignment was £50
  2. It's was £250 to fit all suspension, anti lift kit, rear Anti-Roll bar and adjustable drop links, with wheel alignment included.
  3. How did you clean them?
  4. Managed to get myself H&R cup kit 50/50 drop last year for the bargain price of £414 off autodoc, after experiencing catastrophic crank walk and needing an engine replacement, it had to go on the back burner.... Fast forward to this week and it's finally on and thought I'd give my opinion on it. Before I go too deep into it, I also upgraded the top mounts to audi ttrs and had whiteline anti lift kit and whiteline rear Anti-Roll bar and heavy duty drop links fitted. So, right off the bat they are much stiffer than the 13 year old suspension, but I knew what I was letting myself in for. It is a firm/sporty ride, so don't expect anything else, they have however greatly improved how the car handles and give very little bod roll. On new smooth roads it is an absolute dream, its only on poor quality roads that you really notice how much harder they are than std The whole package has completely transformed the car, and I mean completely. On my commute down twisting country roads it sticks to the roads like glue, hitting corners at 10mph faster than when the stock vrs would start to understeer and its completely unphased and could probably be pushed more...... All in all its amazing, but be warned it is stiff for a family car.
  5. Great, do we know if it would be bi xenon or not?
  6. Inconclusive that's why I'm asking on here. Do you have any links to check part numbers on?
  7. Does anyone know if the headlight with part number 1Z2 9410 15B is xenon or bi xenon? Thanks in advance.
  8. Ahh, so the they won't work off the leveling switch that is fitted as std? I just thought that I might get away with a semi conversion for now till it warms up a bit.
  9. Am I right in thinking that they will work until I get around to fitting all the other parts? Will they just plug and play for now?
  10. I'd just plan for new ball joints and drop links, they will almost definitely cause you issues. I upgraded my top mounts and bearings to ttrs ones and fitted new bump stops and dust covers too.
  11. Turned out to be an absolute nightmare for me, every bolt pretty much snapped. Sent it to the garage on the end.
  12. Managed to bag some oem xenon headlights and ordered the kufatec wiring adapter harness. Do I need to do any coding?
  13. They said about 3 hours labour to fit everything. It's got the rest of the lowering kit in the boot. I couldn't be bothered tackling it again, pass the head ache on to someone else.
  14. Done lots of searching but can't find a definite answer. Can coming home lights be activated on a 2007 vrs non maxidot? If It can, is it a case of leaving lights on and locking the car? Does it work unlocking too?
  15. Oh I tried that, along with putting the wheel back on and dropping it as fast as the jack would allow. I've had no choice but to drive on it and it still hasn't dropped into place. It's booked in at the garage on Tuesday for it to be sorted along with anti lift kit and rear arb and heavy duty drop links.
  16. Managed to source some xenon lights and ordered the kufatec adapter loom for now. I'll tackle the rest of the job when it's a bit warmer. Will these need coding in?
  17. No, I just cut the drop links off, but they the lower ball joint on the wishbone, all 3 bolts snapped. And to top it all off I couldn't get my new strut far enough in to put the pinch bolt in!!! It's been an absolute nightmare, never had issues like this on previous cars.
  18. I hasbthe exact same problem with the front drop links last weekend, then the ball joint decided that all wanted to snap too. Currently running one lowered shock and spring!
  19. Thanks all, it just concerned me that the shocks are identical both sides. Checked the car and the arb does indeed connect differently both sides.
  20. The tab that the front arb drop links fit into, should they be handed? It isn't central.
  21. Died anyone know if thw front shocks are handed? I've just out together new struts etc and they appear to be both exactly the same.
  22. Have you got a link for those?
  23. Has anyone done the xenon retrofit in a pfl, is it worth it over the halogen lights?
